Chapter 291: The Holy Son of Light’s Coronation, Seize It at Once
“Pathetic!”
Looking at the templars flying out spewing blood in their wake, Ling Jiu spat out a single word. He did not even bother to show contempt, because… these people were just a group of Level 8 powerhouses.
“Who are you?”
Ludwig stared at Ling Jiu and asked in a low voice.
“Who do you think you are, to think that you’re worthy of knowing who I am?
Ling Jiu glanced at hi, and Ludwig flew away as if struck by lightning, not even having a chance to scream.
Before he even landed, Ling Jiu waved his hand and Ludwig disappeared where he stood, and he was sent into the Leoux.
This was Leoux’s idea. It wanted to read Ludwig’s memories to learn more about the Light Curia and Auguland.
In Leoux’s words, Auguland was much more interesting than it had imagined, and it wanted to know more about it. Ling Jiu of had no objections, of course.
Next, Ling Jiu, Armando, and Delia continued to eat. Although the father and daughter were eating, they were obviously not enjoying it.
“What’s wrong?” Ling Jiu asked gently.
“Milord…”
Armando hesitated for a moment before he said, “For us to kill the members of the Light Curia like that, the Curia will not let it slide. Let us leave as soon as possible.”
“They won’t let it slide? Then let them come!”
Ling Jiu took a sip of wine. “If they piss me off, I wouldn’t mind erasing the Light Curia from Auguland proper.”
Erase the Light Curia!
Armando and Delia were shocked. How strong are you? To say something so outrageous?
“Ling Jiu, big discovery!”
Leoux’s voice suddenly rang.
“Hmmm?”
Ling Jiu raised his eyebrows.
“I’ve read the memories of this priest called Ludwig and found that the Light Curia’s headquarters, the Holy Mountain of Light is sealing an outland demon.”
Leoux continued, “Based on this guy’s memories, the outland demon is a big snake with nine heads…”

“I guess, this demon could be one of the three ultimate warriors, the Nine-headed Snake!
…
As the headquarters of the Curia, the Holy Mountain of Light was their symbol and also the center of the Empire of Light’s greatest power. On top of that, it acted as the empire’s center of faith.
At every moment, countless devotees would go there to pray, and many powerhouses would come to the Curia to seek justice.
Today, the Holy Mountain of Light was even more lively as this was the coronation of the 127th Holy Son of Light.
The Holy Son of Light!
This was an extremely high position in the Light Curia, and it was no surprise that today’s coronation will see the Holy Son becoming the new Holy Father.
Therefore, the coronation ceremony of the Holy Son of Light is one of the most important ceremonies of the Empire of Light. Not only all of the top echelons of the Curia would be present, other powerful countries and factions of the land would also send dignitaries to attend it.
On the plaza before the holy mountain, there was a sea of people, as devotees from all corners of the world had long thronged the place.
The Cathedral of Light stood behind the square.
Before the cathedral stood an elder with golden pontiff regalia, with a ruby crown and the Scepter of Light in his hand. He radiated a soft and sacred aura of light, looking both noble and divine.
There were many chairs on either side of the elder, and on the left side were the many top echelons of the Curia. Meanwhile, on the right were representatives of the various powerful factions.
“That’s the Holy Father of the Light Curia?”
Ling Jiu and the others mixed themselves in the crowd as they looked at the elder in his pontiff regalia, and could not help but to take a couple more looks.
Ling Jiu was purely out of curiosity.
Armando and his daughter were in awe and excitement.
The Holy Father of Light!

The supreme ruler of both the Light Curia and the Empire of Light, one of the most important and most revered individuals of Auguland.
Such an existence, for Armando and Delia, was existence beyond reach.
However, at that moment, they had witnessed this legendary figure in the flesh.
How could they not be excited?
“This Holy Father of the Light is a truly peak stellar lifeform, not bad. Just a step away from becoming a galactic lifeform,” Ling Jiu murmured to himself.
Being at the peak of a stellar lifeform meant the peak of a Sacred in Auguland, just a step away from becoming a true god.
Such strength was absolutely not weak. Across Earth, aside from him, even Emperor Might and Vulcan had not reached this level.
“The coronation ceremony begins!”
A melodious bell rang, toiling the commencement of the coronation ceremony.
Clatter! clatter!
A series of the sound of horseshoes rang out as the crowd slowly separated as a squad of knights riding on unicorns and wearing the armor of light slowly cantered into the pathway.
These were the templars!
Through and through Sacred-level powerhouses.
They were the greatest, most powerful knights of the Light Curia, and any single one of them was an existence that echoed across the empire.
At that moment, all eyes were not on these Templars but on the handsome young man being surrounded by them. He was riding a white-winged horse twice the size of other unicorns.
He had blonde hair, as well as light-colored eyes, and he looked handsome and heroic; coupled with petals that were constantly falling from the sky, he was like a prince who had just walked out of a fairy tale.
“It’s the Holy Son, Lord Nicholas!”
Exclamations rang out across the crowd, as many girls were smitten, as they looked on at the handsome man with looks of fondness and infatuation.
If one were to ask who was the most handsome person on Auguland, these girls will definitely call out Lord Nicholas’ name.
“He’s so handsome!” Even Delia could not help but praise.
Nicholas came to the cathedral under the protection of the Templars before jumping off the unicorn’s back and ascended the steps as he came before the Holy Father.
He knelt on one knee as he kissed the shoes of the Holy Father and said reverently.
“Greetings… oh great Holy Father! May the glory of the Lord shine eternally upon this land!”
“This day has finally come, my child.”
The Holy Father held Nicholas’ head with both hands as he kissed his forehead, and placed the ruby crown that symbolized status upon Nicholas’ head, and handed the Scepter of Light symbolizing power to the latter.
After this, the Holy Father and the rest of the Curia’s top echelons retreated behind Nicholas, and then faced the Cathedral of Light.
Or rather, they were facing the statue of the God of Light and started praying devoutly.
“Oh, almighty God of Light, we beseech you to guide us forth with your grace. May our prayers and deeds ever follow your lead…”
This was the coronation prayer!
It was the most important part of the coronation ceremony, it represented whether Nicholas can eventually become the Holy Father still depended upon the God of Light.
If the God of Light agreed to the coronation, a blessing would be given; if not…
There was no precedent of such a thing happening in history, as all of the Holy Sons were the most pious and outstanding of devotees. They had been specially raised and trained since young. Hence, they were capable of taking on the position of the Holy Father, so the God of Light had no reason to disagree.
It was the same this time.
Amidst everyone’s prayers, a golden beam of light suddenly dropped down from the sky and enveloped Nicholas.
Immediately after, under everyone’s gaze, a crystal the size of a walnut slowly flew down. It was irregularly prismatic and blood-red. It exuded a mysterious aura and unsurprisingly landed on Nicholas’ head.
“Bloody hell! It’s actually that!” Leoux’s voice suddenly rang out.
“Ling Jiu, seize it at once!”
