Chapter 290: 290
Chapter 290: Sanctioning Ling Jiu, the Battle Formation of Light
“Thank you for the great gift, Sir. We are willing to follow you and serve you to the end!”
The father and daughter were so touched that they immediately swore undivided loyalty to Ling Jiu as their master.
“Both of you are now Sacreds and are qualified to follow me,” Ling Jiu said lightly.
“Very well, just follow me from now on then. ”
“Thank you, Milord!”
The father and daughter were overjoyed, and at the same time were shocked by what Ling Jiu had said. Only having the right to follow him after becoming a Sacred, then how strong are you?
Although they were shocked and curious at the same time, since Ling Jiu did not say anything more, they also dared not ask more.
Ling Jiu motioned them to sit down and made some inquiries as he ate the side dishes.
“Tell me about your Nine-tailed clan.”
“Yes, Milord!”
The Nine-tailed clan had suddenly appeared on Auguland 5,000 years ago, or rather, the first generation of Nine-tailed warriors had been born 5,000 years ago.
Alongside them were two other ultimate warriors, the Nine-headed warriors and the Nine-winged warriors.
As soon as the three ultimate warriors appeared, they displayed their unparalleled talents for cultivation. Not long after, they ran rampant across Auguland, becoming the top, unrivaled powerhouses of the realm.
After that, the three warriors created three ultimate warrior clans, the Nine-tailed clan, the Nine-headed clan, and the Nine-winged clan, becoming the most powerful forces of Auguland.
For thousands of years after, the three great clans waxed and waned, and until today, 5,000 years since, that they had completely declined.
The Nine-tailed clan fared a little better, as they still held land at the edge of the Empire of Light, and had a city under its name.

The other two warrior clans had completely disappeared from Auguland without a trace.
“The Nine-tailed clan!
“The Nine-headed clan!
“The Nine-winged clan!”
Ling Jiu casually sipped his tea and communicated with Leoux.
“Their sudden appearance on Auguland 5,000 years ago… Can that be understood as they arrived on the planet at that time?”
“Probably.”
Leoux supported Ling Jiu’s guess and continued, “If I’m not wrong, the Nine-tailed Snake would have appeared with the Nine-headed Snake and the Nine-winged Snake, the first generation of the ultimate warriors the father and daughter spoke about.”
“Nine-headed Snake? Nine-winged Snake?” Ling Jiu raised his eyebrows. “Are they also powerful galactic lifeforms like the Nine-tailed Snake?”
“Yeah.”
Leoux nodded slightly. “The Nine-tailed Snake, Nine-headed Snake, and the Nine-winged Snake would have appeared together because when these three beings unite, they can exert a force greater than the sum of their parts. So these three beings often form a group as companions.”
Ling Jiu nodded, expressing his understanding.
“I wonder what happened to the three, did they leave Auguland or clash with the gods of the realm and get killed?” Leoux said.
“But it doesn’t matter anymore. No matter how their end was, it is impossible for us to encounter them again.”
“Yeah…”
“Where is Lord Armando?”
At this moment, a cold voice suddenly rang outside the hall. Ling Jiu frowned and looked over as a group of people had arrived outside without them knowing.
All of them were clad in golden armor and helmets, with golden broadswords in their hands. All of them radiated an aura of sacred light, they were Knights Templar of the Curia.
And surrounded by the knights was the head of the Curia’s church in Mansfield, a white-robed priest named Ludwig Macmillan.
Seeing the group, how could Armando and Delia not understand the purpose of their arrival. The two stood before Ling Jiu and said to the members of the Light Curia.

“Priest Ludwig, what’s your business here today?”
“Lord Armando, why ask when you already know?”
Priest Ludwig said coldly. “Someone killed Priest Kells, and this is a provocation against the Light Curia, how can I ignore it?”
“And what of it?”
Armando frowned.
“Daring to kill a member of the clergy is an affront to the Light Curia, a provocation to the great God of Light, a sinner, and a heretic!”
Ludwig’s voice was cold. “Such a sinner should be put onto a torture rack and be judged and sanctioned by the Lord.”
“Judged?”
Ling Jiu’s voice rose, with a tinge of interest in his tone. “With that God of Light of yours, he won’t be able to judge me.”
“Insolence!” Ludwig yelled coldly.
“An evil heretic like you dares to besmirch our Lord’s name even at the very end? Templars!”
“Here!”
With an order, all of the Knight Templars around him responded in unison as they drew their swords and surround Ling Jiu.
“Battle Formation of Light!” Ludwig shouted.
Buzz…
A milky white halo burst out from the templars, and the thick white light gathered at the top of their heads, and then combined into a white humanoid projection.
The projection was thoroughly white, with a pair of wings on its back and radiating a sacred aura, not unlike an angel. But this was not an angel, as its head was not a human’s one, but a strange eagle head.
“Die!”
Ludwig shouted and the templars all raised their swords and then slashed down at Ling Jiu.
Instantly, the white eagle-headed projection above their heads also raised its sword and also slashed down at Ling Jiu.
Vooosh!
A milky white sword light slashed down and created a black dimensional rift in the void. The white light blade passed through the rift and instantly appeared before Ling Jiu.
The strength of the templars was generic, at about Level 7 or 8. However, the offensive power of their Battle Formation of Light had reached a Sacred’s level, which was really incredible.
“Delia, protect our lord!” Armando yelled and drew his sword to block the attack, but Ling Jiu motioned for them to stand back.
“A group of Level 8s unleashing a stellar lifeform attack power, I have to say, this Battle Formation of Light is quite impressive.”
As he said that, Ling Jiu stretched out his hand and gently grabbed onto the white sword light, before exerting some strength.
Krak!!
With a crisp crack, the white sword light suddenly exploded in an instant, turning into white spots of light before dissipating altogether.
“He blocked the attack of the Battle Formation of Light?” Ludwig wore an expression of shock as he lost his voice. “You’re no ordinary Sacred!”
The power of the battle formation was terrifying. Any ordinary or newly ascended Sacred would never be able to withstand its attack.
Ling Jiu!
This Sacred-like person who had appeared out of nowhere had actually blocked the Battle Formation of Light’s attack!
Ludwig immediately knew that Ling Jiu was definitely not an ordinary Sacred!
“Who told you I’m an ordinary Sacred?”
Ling Jiu snorted and lightly swept his hand as a terrifying wave swept out and slammed heavily against the projection.
A crack later, the projection instantly exploded, reduced to light spots before quickly fading away.
“Urgh!”
The Battle Formation of Light was shattered, and the templars, as if struck by lightning, spat out blood as they screamed and were blasted away.
“Pathetic!”
