Chapter 278: 278
Chapter 278: Energy Arcana, Birth of the Clone
This was a belt of asteroids. At a glance, numerous stellar objects were suspended densely in space.
Some were as large as a planet, spanning across thousands of kilometers, some were as tiny as a speck of dust, the size of a grain of rice, like a belt of broken stones.
From a distance, they were all gathered together densely, seemingly in close proximity, but only when they got closer did they realize that there were still a significant distance between one another.
The closest were hundreds of kilometers apart, the furthest were millions of kilometers away, but it was undeniable that the asteroids were aplenty.
Morever, unlike the asteroid belts of the solar system, they did not revolve around the sun, but were still suspended in space. Aside from some asteroids moving by themselves, most of them were in a dormant, still state.
Most of all, they were independent of one another, and were isolated. So, that made devouring all the more easier.
“Ling Jiu, enjoy the feast then.”
Leoux smiled. “I’ll go get busy on my end.”
“Go, go!”
After sending Leoux off, Ling Jiu went ahead with what he needed to do.
He first chose an irregularly-shaped asteroid about ten kilometers in diameter, and then using Void Devouring.
“Whoa!”
The 10 kilometers quietly disappeared on the spot, and were sent into the floating island. With a thought, the asteroid quickly disintegrated.
Ling Jiu’s second target was an asteroid about six kilometers in diameter, and devoured the asteroid with very little effort.
Then was the third, the fourth, the fifth…
Like a hardworking honeybee Ling Jiu tirelessly devouring these asteroids.
Compared to devouring the yellow sands of White Hole 1, devouring these asteroids were much simpler and effecient. In just an hour, Ling Jiu had devoured hundreds of asteroids.
When one was busy, time passed very quickly, and without him realizing it, a year had passed.
This day, Ling Jiu arrived by a giant asteroid.
Unlike other asteroids, this one was very large, exceeding 1000 kilometers in diameter, and so it had a spherical shape.

Such an asteroids can no longer be referred to as one, but instead a dwarf planet.
“I’ve not rested for a while now, let’s rest on this planet then.”
Ling Jiu Blinked onto the surface of the dwarf planet, and then released the maglev airship and entering it.
He then heat up the water and took a bath.
Soaking in the hot bathtub, Ling Jiu sipped wine and ate meat jerky as he admiring the floating island.
After a year’s worth of expansion, the floating island had expansion to a staggering 1 million square kilometers, 10,000 times the size from a year ago.
However, the Super Arcana Forest was only 100 square kilometers. This was because Ling Jiu had only paid attention to expansion this year and did not plant any Super Arcana Trees.
Therefore, the Super Arcana Forest did not expand much.
Looking at the empty black ground around the woods, Ling Jiu was lost in thought. “Are you going to get some people in to plant trees?”
If Ling Jiu were to devour asteroids and plant trees, it would obviously be inefficient.
It would be far more efficient for him to get a group of people to go in and plant trees.
“That’s a good idea!”
“The question is, who?”
After all, the floating island was in his Inner World, once he sent someone into it, that meant these people can only live inside his Inner World for the rest of their lives.
Going out?
That will definitely expose his Inner World!
So, don’t even think about it.”
“I need to go through this properly.”
Ling Jiu thought to himself, and at this moment, the chandelier above his head flickered before gradually dimming, and then… it went straight out.
“What’s going on?”
Ling Jiu was taken aback for a moment, and he flew out of the bathtub. After drying the water on his body, he put on a pair of pants and went to the living room.
The lights in the living room also went out.
The entire airship was completely pitch black, as if the power had went out.

Ling Jiu was puzzled. Although this maglev airship was unlike his stellar airship, its endurance was still superb.
What was more puzzling was that the material on its surface can absorb solar energy and store it. Plus he had rarely used this airship so its energy supply would always be sufficient.
Why would there be a sudden power failure?
Ling Jiu went out of the airship to investigate the source of the airship’s power failure, and when he saw the bottom of the airship, Ling Jiu found something strange.
There was a patch of sticky green liquid at the bottom of the airship. This layer of green liquid constantly squirmed, as it slowly crawled its way onto the surface of the airship.
“What’s that thing?”
Ling Jiu frowned. He found that only the airship surface was attached with this green liquid, while there was… nothing on the surface of this planet.
Here came the question, what were they?
With doubts in his mind, Ling Jiu used the Replication Arcana to probe. If it could move, surely it was some kind of lifeform right?
Since it was a lifeform, its Arcana formation should be detectable.
As expected…
Name: Unknown
Species: Unknown
Arcana: Conversion of All Energy into Life Energy (Awakened, Replicable, Plunderable)
“Huh? What kind of lifeform is this, that is has such power?”
Ling Jiu was surprised, but he had to admit that this Arcana looked really good.
If he got this Arcana, wouldn’t the life energy inside his body be inexhaustible?
“Replicate!”
Ling Jiu chose to replicate without hesitation.
Replication successful. Assimilate?
“Assimilate!”
Wooosh!!
Ten minutes later, Ling Jiu successfully assimilated this Arcana, and then Ling Jiu took out a Dark Bio-energy crystal.
When he placed the Dark Bio-energy crystals in his hand, Ling Jiu could clearly feel that his palm began to absorb the energy from the crystal, before converting them into life energy.
A moment later, a Dark Bio-energy crystal was completely drained.
“What a great ability.”
Ling Jiu waved away the airship, and noticed that upon no longer having energy to drain, the green liquid patch all sank back into the ground and disappeared.
Clearly, they had come from this dwarf planet.
“The universe is so large that they really have all manner of surprises, huh.”
Ling Jiu could not help but be amazed. “There is still life on a planet that’s not only without atmosphere but directly exposed to the vacuum, and such a strange one at that!”
This was a very powerful lifeform, and if they were to go to Earth, god knows what would they do.
“Let’s get busy.”
Ling Jiu rose into the air and was preparing to devour this asteroid. At this moment, Ling Jiu felt something in his heart.
“Did it worked?”
Ling Jiu was delighted, and his mind instantly sank into his Inner World.
Up to now, Ling Jiu had two Inner Worlds in his body.
One was the Inner World replicated from the Flame Astral Behemoth, and one was from replicating the Void Behemoth’s.
The former was a world of flames.
The latter was a world of life.
At this moment, the Flame Astral Behemoth’s Inner World.
The entire world was still a sea of fire, with raging flames everywhere.
And the corpse of the galactic lifeform at the center of the flames had only a skeleton left. The flesh and blood on its body had almost been burned away, leaving only bare bones.
Of course, this skeleton was not the main point.
The point was that there was an oval flaming egg suspended above the flames.
At this moment, the giant egg was like a beating heart, as it beated violently, and the frequency of the beating was very rapid, like a drum roll.
Suddenly–
The egg’s beating seemed to have reached its limit, and following a cracking sound, a series of cracks appeared on the surface of the egg.
Immediately after, a bronze arm popped out from the eggshell.
The egg shell completely shattered as a young man with bronze-colored body and rock-hard muscles walked out of the shell.
He looked exactly the same as Ling Jiu, but his entire person exuded a wild, rebellious, and brutal temperament.
He was near two meters tall, tall and slender, as if his body was forged from tempered steel, contains infinite amounts of power.
The Golden Saiyan Ape clone… was done!

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.

Making a difference
Harry Potter FanFiction: Hannah Longbottom liked to watch the people who entered the Wizarding World via the small, walled courtyard behind the Leaky Cauldron for a reason: During her not so long life, she had learned about three different boys who had entered the Wizarding World alone, leaving behind a life so horrible she could barely imagine. One of them, who became a friend of hers, had gone through great hardships to become a hero, one of the greatest wizards the Wizarding World had ever seen. One of them, who had been her teacher, had become cold and bitter, and no one had ever recognized what amazing talents he could have offered, until it had been too late. One of them, the monster she had helped to fight during the Battle of Hogwarts, had become the most dreaded, most dangerous, and most deadly man Great Britain had ever seen, and yet it could have all been different, if someone had just tried to make that difference early enough in that life, if he had not boarded the train to Hogwarts all alone. Already posted at Devianart and AO3, I've included a link to RoyalRoad on my profiles there.
