Chapter 224: 224
Chapter 224: Terrifying Acid, Tyrannosaurus Xenomorph
The Ankylosaurus Xenomorph took less than ten minutes to burst out of the chest cavity and grow to its adult form. This growth rate was simply unparalleled.
At least, no one here had seen such a creature before!
“Incredible!”
“Unbelievable!”
“There’s actually such a creature!”
Everyone was shocked by the scene.
“ROAR!!!”
The Ankylosaurus Xenomorph stood on top of the Ankylosaurus corpse as it let out another shrill roar, as if announcing its birth.
Everyone was taken aback by the roar, and a number were a little irritated by it. “What are you roaring for? Your mum died?”
One person appeared not too far away from the Ankylosaurus Xenomorph as a bolt of thunder came crashing down and struck the Xenomorph’s fusiform crown.
Krak!!
The hard carapace of the fusiform crown split open instantly as a greenish liquid blasted out like a jet and splashed onto the man’s arm.
“What most terrifying creature in the universe. Still died in a second to me.”
The person looked at the Ankylosaurus Xenomorph which had staggered onto the ground with a smirk on his face, as he mocked with disdain, seemingly taking potshots at what Ling Jiu had said earlier.
“AH—!!”
However, just as he finished his sentence, he let out a shrill scream.
Everyone looked on in stunned horror as they saw the green blood that fell on the man’s arm was eating away at his arm in a frenzy.
In just a few blinks of an eye, it had corroded the flesh outside, and then the bones. In the end, even the bones were completely eaten away.
“Hiss—-”
When the other cadets saw this, they could not help but to gasp as their eyes were filled with something called horror.
“That blood, is actually a powerful acid!”
“I’ve never seen such acid before!”
“Simply blows your mind!”
“That’s just terrifying. If this falls onto someone’s body, won’t they just get eaten away! Thinking about this alone makes my scalp tingle!”
“Save… Save me! Save me!”
Looking at that man again, only half of his left arm remained, and there was still a large amount of acid remaining at the wound, and they were eating upwards. If no one stopped it, he would lose not only his arm, but also his life.
Whooosh!!
At the critical moment, a silver light flashed past, cutting off the remaining half of the man’s left arm, severing it altogether. The remaining half of the arm fell onto the ground, which quickly corroded into a pool of goo…
“Brother Ling, when you said that creature is the most terrifying creature in the universe, I did not buy it, but now… I truly believe it!”
Niu Ben swallowed his saliva. “It’s blood is really terrifying. If even a single drop were to fall on you… Thinking about it alone give me the shudders.”
“I’m not talking about that.”
Ling Jiu’s eyes were grim. “Although its blood is terrifying. The most scary thing about them is that they are always stronger than their host in terms of combat power.”

Niu Ben was taken aback for a moment. “Combat power? Its combat power was very average though.”
“That’s because its host was average.”
Ling Jiu shook his head. “Forget it. Since there are such creatures on this planet. Then there must be more stronger ones, you’ll see and understand when the time comes.”
The combat power of the Ankylosaurus was indeed very average, about the level of a Class 6 Direbeast. How strong can a Xenomorph that infested it be?
It was at most comparable to a Class 7 Direbeast, and was naturally unable to resist the attack of a Level 8 Arcanist.
Does that meant that the Xenomorph was not strong?
Of course not!
The Xenomorph’s strength was never its body, but its ability to inherit the excellent genes of its host, which meant that its combat effectiveness was always one step higher than the host.
Therefore, should the Xenomorph arrives on a planet that was rich with powerful species, the consequences were almost unimaginable.
“Let’s go, gotta keep exploring!”
Ling Jiu called out to them and then left with Bai Ya. Nio Ben and Niu Miao looked at each other and quickly followed behind Ling Jiu.
They had thought that this was just a reconnaissance operation, so they never planned on teaming up. But now, they needed to because the Xenomorph was just too terrifying a creature.
Ling Jiu did not say anything about it, if they want to team up, then lets team up.
With the four on the road, and after a while, the sounds of battle suddenly came from the jungle, and the four rushed over.
They then saw a fierce fight.
Both sides of the battle were ‘dinosaurs’, one looked like a triceratops, with sharp long horns, stout body, but was significantly larger than a triceratops.
It was more than 50 meters in length, and a height of 20 meters. Just its three horns alone were more than a dozen of meters long, with the tip of the horn gleaming in bright, cold light.
Its opponent was was creature shaped like Tyrannosaurus Rex, with a menacing head, sharp fangs, and a body length of more than 90 meters and a height of 30 meters.
Its large and menacing head alone was more than ten meters, and each fang was like a blade.
“ROAR!!!”
This Tyrannosaurus Rex was clearly hunting the triceratops, but its attempts had failed repeatedly before the triceratops’ long sharp horns.
Although the means of attack of the triceratops was only one, it had horns and enough power, and once its long horns was in place, even the Tyrannosaurus Rex would struggle against it.
However, the Tyrannosaurus Rex still reigned supreme as it used its flexible positioning to finally seize an opportunity as it chomped onto the neck of the triceratops.
Then it started tearing into it in a frenzy.
Its sharp fangs ripped open the triceratops’s neck like razors.
The huge pain drove the triceratops into a frenzy as it constantly tried to turn around to stab its horns into the Tyrannosaurus Rex, but the latter was not dumb, as it constantly moved around, dodging as it continue to bite down.

Unsurprisingly, the Tyrannosaurus Rex won the fight as it broke the triceratops’ neck and killed it.
And just as the Tyrannosaurus Rex was about to feast on it, suddenly something happened!
“Tick Tock—”
“Tick Tock—”
“Tick Tock—”
A burst of dripping water on leaves sounded as a black creature over 100 meters tall, with a massive fusiform crown walked out from the woods.
It had liquid dripping out from its mouth as its long tail flailed about.
“It’s that creature again!”
At the sight of that creature, Niu Ben and the rest immediate recognized it as their expression could not help but change a little. “But, it looks different from the one earlier.”
“It’s indeed different!”
Ling Jiu nodded.
This Xenomorph was walking upright with its hind legs, and its head was even larger and more menacing as its fangs looked even sharper.
If one were to take a closer look it was not difficult to see that it was somewhat similar to the Tyrannosaurus Rex not too far away from it, and was likely a Tyrannosaurus Xenomorph.
No one knew the exact specifics so let’s just call it the Tyrannosaurus Xenomorph for now.
The Tyrannosaurus Xenomorph slowly approached, and such a provocative behavior had cause the victorious Tyrannosaurus Rex to feel threatened. The triceratops was its food, and it will not allow anyone else to touch it.
So, the Tyrannosaurus Rex opened its mouth as it let out a ferocious roar.
Rolling sound waves ripped apart like thunder, causing ripples to form in the sky.
This was a warning!
The Tyrannosaurus Rex was warning the Xenomorph to get lost.
Unfortunately, the Tyrannosaurus Xenomorph was unfazed at all as it shook its long tail and walked over in a measured pace.
“RAAAAWWRRRR—”
This kind of behavior was tantamount to blatant provocation, and the Tyrannosaurus Rex would not stand for it as it opened its mouth wide and launched an attack.
WOOSHH!!
In the face of the attack, the Tyrannosaurus Xenomorph agilely dodged the blow, and at the same time, swung its tail as it viciously stabbed into the Tyrannosaurus’ hind legs.
DUSH!
Like a steel needle poking through tofu, the long tail instantly pierced through the Tyrannosaurus’ hind leg.
It let out a painful roar as its massive body collapsed to a side, and then crashed heavily onto the ground, causing a loud bang in its wake.
The Tyrannosaurus Rex had only two legs, and if one of it was wounded, it was completely incapacitated. No matter how powerful its bite was, only death awaited it.
“Instant kill!”
Ling Jiu muttered to himself. “A Tyrannosaurus Xenomorph against a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and it’s an instant kill!”
“ROAR!!!”
After taking down the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the Xenomorph stepped onto the it as it let out a roar, seemingly to vent its emotions.
Immediately after, it bit onto the wounded Tyrannosaurus Rex and slowly dragged it away.
Niu Ben said hurriedly. “Brother Ling, it’s leaving. What should we do?”
“Don’t need to worry, let’s keep up with it.”
Ling Jiu said slowly. “If things goes smoothly, we should have a big discovery.”
“Okay!”
The three nodded instantly.
And so.
The four carefully followed behind the Tyrannosaurus Xenomorph, and as they were worried about being detected by it, Ling Jiu and the rest hid inside the Dimensional Sea.
The dragged Tyrannosaurus Rex was in pain as the gaping wound on its leg kept bleeding.
After being dragged all the way, with its blood painting a path in its wake. The Tyrannosaurus Rex tried to get up again and again, but all attempts ended in failure.
Half an hour later, it was dragged into a huge cave.
The cave was a bit weird, in an inverted V shape. It’s bottom was wide and its top narrow. It was dark and gloomy inside, and it was hard to see what was it in. A burst of mists continued to emerge from the cave, exuding a revolting stench.
“Everyone, if I’m not wrong, we should have found the Xenomorph’s lair.
Ling Jius stared at the cave with a scorching gaze. “As for what’s in the lair, we need to investigate in detail. If my prediction is right, we will have a great find. Wait here, I’ll go in and have a look.”
“You’re going in alone? No way!”
Bai Ya frowned and said. “It’s too dangerous.”
“Yeah, Brother Ling.”
Niu Ben also said. “That Xenomorph we had followed earlier was comparable to a Class 9 Beast Emperor, it is already very dangerous.”
“Not to mention, this is their lair, and there must be even more powerful Xenomorphs hidden inside. How can we let you go in just like that?”
“Don’t worry, I have the Dimension Arcana…”
As Ling Jiu said that, he was met with Bai Ya’s roll of her eyes. “Have you forgotten what had happened in the infernal planet? Your Dimension Arcana isn’t omnipotent!”
“Alright then!”
Ling Jiu smiled bitterly. “I’ll not enter the lair then, and just draw them out to have a look.”
As he said that, Ling Jiu leapt before the cave, and then stomped on the ground with one foot.
The earth shook violently, and even the cave shook violently.
This behavior was undoubtedly a provocation, and after a while, there was movement in the cave as the Xenomorphs filed out like hornets.
In a blink of an eye, twenty to thirty Xenomorphs appeared.
These dozen of Xenomorphs were not big. They had short and powerful bodies, sharp front claws, and long tails. Their body length was only about 20 meters long, and six to seven meters tall.
They immediately surrounded Ling Jiu as they came out, and then looked at him menacingly as their saliva flowed from their mouths.
“What Xenomorphs are this?”
Ling Jiu looked at the twenty to thirty Xenomorphs surrounding him, as he twitched his muscles and said, “Ah, screw it, no matter what sort of Xenomorphs you lot are…”
“Six hundred times the gravity!”

No More Respawns
Synopsis: The first time Allen died, he was forced back into a living hell where death is temporary, and power is all that matters. With evil and depravity as the rule, tragedy becomes comedy and life becomes an act. Only a deal with a shady god can get him back to his old life, but what happens if there’s nothing left to save? Maybe hell isn’t so bad if you have infinite lives… until you don’t. Needless to say, it’s all fun and games until there’s no more respawns. Foreword: This story is meant primarily as an action adventure and secondarily as a dark and nihilistic comedy. It may not be readily apparent in the beginning, but that's what I have planned (I feel the need to emphasize the dark; don’t rage at me if it gets too ‘traumatizing’ or something). I’m going to take my time with this, so it won’t immediately inundate you with doom and gloom. This is also a comedy, remember? On that note, if for some cursed reason you just can't handle either the references or the jokes, I am willing to battle in the comments. Anyway, I still put a significant amount of effort into the system, so I hope you enjoy that part. It is a little bulky, I'll admit to that, but I wanted to try something new and its more fun when there's more depth to it. Regardless, I still have a lot of fun doing math in the middle of writing a fictional story (/s). I also want to see if I can keep from messing up the pacing. Many times, I end up going too fast because I'm afraid of the story getting boring, which tends to ironically have the opposite effect. I'm still learning I suppose; we'll see how things go. Lastly, please leave reviews and comments, they really mean a lot to me and (usually) help me improve considerably. I'll be asking for feedback in the polls and I do still check the old ones from time to time. Notes: The story takes a bit of time to develop; give it time if you're here for drama, grimdark, or antihero. The system is all blue boxes and I'm not half-assing the numbers. Chapters will be between 1k and 2k words usually. I always use the oxford coma, fight me. Might drop if rating falls below 4 stars, idk. It depends on how my life is going. Cover drawn by yours truly in MS paint. (I have skill, I know)
