Chapter 215: 215
“Thank you… for saving me?”
Hearing the sudden drawl in his mind, Ling Jiu was shocked as he looked around before landing his eyes on the dragon. “It was you speaking?”
“Yes!”
The 80-meter-long dragon monster nodded its big head. “I left in a hurry the other day and did not have the time to thank you. So today, I’m officially thanking you for your life-saving grace.”
“Uh…. you’re welcome?”
The monster could actually speak!
Ling Jiu was a little shocked, but after pondering for a bit he felt it was actually normal.
Back on Earth, a Class 8 Direbeast possessed intelligence no inferior to humans.
Class 9 Direbeasts could speak the human tongue, and it was said that even more powerful monsters could change their size at will.
The great dragon before him was certainly of Class 9 or even higher. So it would not have been out of space for it to speak, even though it was an alien creature.
However, Ling Jiu still checked its Arcana.
Name: Unknown
Species: Unknown
Arcana: Spiritual Communication (Awakened, Replicable), Super Physique (Awakened, Replicable), Mega Dragon Flame (Awakened, Replicable), Mega Tremor (Awakened, Replicable)
Ling Jiu directly ignored the first three Arcanas as his attention fell onto the last Mega Tremor Arcana.
Tremor!
It was a very terrifying force!
It normally referred to the tremors caused by a relatively large object, and this was different from the vibrations caused by smaller objects.
For example, an earthquake was the most typical example of a tremor, as it was formed by the shaking of the earth’s crust. The destructive power of an earthquake was beyond doubt, and once could see the power of the Tremor Arcana through an earthquake.

“With my body, coupled with the Tremor Arcana, its effect is definitely no inferior to Whitebeard’s Tremor-Tremor Fruit in One Piece1, right?”

Ling Jiu licked his lips as he hesitated with replicating that Arcana.
In fact, he still had many other choices. Which of those cadets in the matriculation camp did not have freakish Arcana? Who did not have at least two or three Arcanas with them?
There were so many choices!
So, should he replicate?
Ling Jiu was a little hesitant.
“Can you come with me?”
The dragon looked at Ling Jiu and said.
“To where?”
Ling Jiu was dumbfounded.
“You’ll find out if you follow me!”
The dragon monster said and then plunged headlong into the magma. After a moment of hesitation, Ling Jiu followed it.
After swimming through the magma, Ling Jiu suddenly felt like he had passed through something similar to a barrier, and then came to a mysterious area.
There was no longer any boiling magma around him, and the temperature was not as high. Instead, it was an extremely cool underground world.
At a glance, it seemed like he had arrived at a massive gorge with undulating mountains and lush vegetation.
“This is…”
Ling Jiu was shocked.
Above him was red hot roiling magma, but they were blocked by a mysterious barrier and could not fall through it.

“This is a world inside the planet!”
The great dragon explained, “We are used to calling this place the Dragon Valley because the Redflame Dragon clan lives here.”
“The Dragon Valley?”
“Crimson Dragon?”
Ling Jiu muttered a few words and continued to look at the place called the Dragon Valley.
In terms of geography alone, this place looked not too different from those places surrounded by mountains back on Earth, the only difference was the plant life that grew inside it.
Aside from that, there were bizarre flying creatures and beasts that lived in the mountains and forests as roars ring out from it. Giving him a primordial and wild atmosphere.
“Great dragon… friend, where are you taking me?” Ling Jiu could not help but ask.
He was a little worried if the latter had any plots in mind, and if he was brought to Stellar lifeform-level great dragon, then he would be dead meat!
“We’ll arrive soon enough!”
The dragon said, “I’m not called ‘friend’, I’m called Redflame.”
“Redflame?” Ling Jiu murmured.
Under Redflame’s lead, the two soon arrived at the front of a huge mountain, and close to the top of the mountain was a massive cave.
A scorching heatwave came from the cave, and at the same time, there was a strong smell of sulfur. It was not difficult for Ling Jiu to guess that this should be a volcano. The cave should lead to the inside of that volcano.
“We’re here!” the dragon called Redflame said before flying into the cave. Ling Jiu gritted himself as he followed from behind and ventured into the depths of the cave.
Sure enough, the innermost cave led to the center of the volcano, and one could see the scorching hot magma from a distance. Redflame retracted its wings and landed beside the magma lake.
“Father, we are back!” Redflame shouted at the magma lake.
Soon, the boiling magma became restless as a massive head slowly emerged from the lake.
At first glance, Ling Jiu recognized the creature, it was the same 800 meter long great dragon that had killed Alek, with a wingspan of more than 4,000 meters.
“Greetings, Earthling.”
The great dragon spoke human tongue, and its words astonishing, but its attitude was fairly cordial.
Amidst Ling Jiu’s shock, he quietly let out a sigh of relief. If the latter wanted him dead, he would have no room to fight back, and so the top priority was to survive as long as he could.
“Hello,” Ling Jiu replied immediately.
“You are the first alien creature to come into this realm!”
The great dragon slowly said, “Of course, you won’t be able to enter without my permission.”
“May I ask, Sir, is there anything that led you to summon me?” Ling Jiu asked.
“There are two matters.”
The great dragon slowly said, “First, you saved my child. According to the traditions of my people, I must thank you for your life-saving grace.”

“There’s no need for that, it was nothing.”
Ling Jiu shook his head quickly.
“My people never owe any favors.”
The great dragon leisurely said, “This is for you as a sign of our gratitude.”
As his voice trailed away, a black stone the size of a millstone flew out of the magma and landed in front of Ling Jiu.
“This is…”
Ling Jiu was stunned.
“This is an egg.”
The great dragon continued unhurriedly, “You’ve seen the environment of this planet. It is fixed in place by the tidal gravitational force of its parent star and has no rotation.
“So half of its hemisphere is always facing the star, under extreme temperature, while the other half is always night.
“Our Redflame Dragon clan occupies the magma hemisphere, while the dark side of the planet is ruled by the Dark Demonic Dragons.”
“Dark Demonic Dragons?”
Ling Jiu was startled, and he broke out in cold sweat. “There is a Dark Demonic Dragon Clan on the hemisphere that is experiencing eternal night?”
“Yes!”
The great dragon slowly continued, “But there’s only one Dark Demonic Dragon, not a clan.
“In fact, it was only me and the Dark Demonic Dragon at first. The Redflame Dragon clan was born from me.”
“You alone? You bred an entire clan?”
Ling Jiu was stunned.
“Our clan has very powerful environmental adaptability, and under necessary conditions, we can change our gender, or even take on a hermaphrodite form,” the great dragon gradually explained.
Ling Jiu was rendered speechless. What else was there to say?
Aside from… holy sh*t!
“Both the Dark Demonic Dragon and I do not belong here. We only entered a wormhole by mistake because we were fighting for this egg.”
The Redflame Dragon glanced at the black egg lying quietly on the ground and said, “After that, the wormhole disappeared, and we have been staying here since forever.”
“Sir, what is this thing actually?”
Ling Jiu was curious.
“I don’t know what it is exactly either.”
Bit by bit, the great dragon said, “But from my eyes, I can tell that it is definitely not a usual thing because its incubation period is just too long!”
“It has been more than 800 years since I got it, and it still hasn’t hatched. So it is definitely an unusual thing.”
“Hasn’t hatched even after 800 years? Is it a dead egg?”
Ling Jiu raised his eyebrows as he used his Replication Arcana to probe the Arcana of this egg. It would have been fine if he did not check it, but when he did, he got a shock of his life.
Name: Unknown
Species: Unknown
Arcana: Unknown
“The hell, everything is unknown?”
Ling Jiu was a little confused. Generally speaking, as long as it was a living creature, he could probe the other’s Arcana information, but the result was all unknown?
What was going on here?
If this was a dead object, then it was impossible for these lines to appear.
Since they appeared, it had proven that it was alive.
“It’s alive, so why isn’t there any information?”
Ling Jiu frowned deeply. “Could it be that the level of this lifeform is just too high, hence it’s beyond the Replication Arcana’s ability to detect it?”
After he mulled over it, he still came to a dead-end, so Ling Jiu simply could not be bothered with thinking about it any longer. He looked at the great dragon and thanked it.
Seeing Ling Jiu accept the black egg, the great dragon resumed talking. “The second thing is I would like to seek your aid.”
“My aid?”
Ling Jiu was taken aback. “You are a powerful Stellar lifeform, what can I do to help you?”
“I once had a dream. The images I saw were extremely vague, but I remember some important parts very clearly.
The great dragon slowly said, “A human teenager who can swallow magma appeared in the dream, and he helped us to return to our homeland!”
“A human teenager who devours magma…”
Ling Jiu was shocked. Isn’t that him that was being talked about?
“I’ve seen everything you did outside. I think you are the boy in my dream who can help us go home.”
The great dragon stared at Ling Jiu with fiery eyes, full of expectation and hope.
“It has been more than 800 years since I came here, and my life is about to come to an end. My greatest is dream is to return to my homeland.”
Ling Jiu suddenly smiled bitterly. “It is just a dream! Besides, I don’t even know where your home is, so how can I help you get home?”
“Although us Redfire Dragons spend most of our lives in deep sleep, dragons never dream easily.”
At that moment, Redfire said, “Yet, once you have a dream, the fragments in the dream will be transformed into reality. This is considered a talent of our kind.”
“Transforming dreams into reality?”
Ling Jiu perked up and could not help but use the Replication Arcana to look into the great dragon’s Arcana information. The results surprised Ling Jiu.
Name: Unknown
Species: Redflame Dragon
Arcana: Spiritual Communication (Awakened, Replicable), Super Physique (Awakened, Replicable), Mega Dragon Flame (Awakened, Replicable), Mega Tremor (Awakened, Replicable), Prophecy (Awakened, Replicable)
“Prophecy!”
Ling Jiu was stunned. “It has the power of prophecy? Good lord, is it telling the truth?”
If previously Ling Jiu was doubtful of the words of the great dragon and the crimson dragon, then now… he was wavering.
For a dragon that could foresee the future, it may very well be able to see the future.
“I’ve had two dreams in my life!”
The great dragon said, “The first time, I dreamt that I had come to a strange planet and thrived there!”
“As you have seen, the dream became reality!
“And the second dream was about you.”
The dragon looked at Ling Jiu. “I believe this time it will certainly turn into reality. So, human, are you willing to aid me?”

Authors Note: If you find that the dialogue from the prologue to chapter 5 seem to be not that smooth, I apologize for that, it was my first time writing a fanfic so the dialogue was not in a format that is ideal. However, due to reader comments and some research I will try to attempt to improve the dialogue from chapter 6 and onwards. I may or may not come back to edit the first few chapters since I would have to rewrite most of it and I would rather spend that time writing out more of the story.
