The Summoner is Going Chapter 135
Translation: DarkHeartedAlchemist
Editor: Weasalopes
I returned to the main cave to search for more Gozus and Mezus while fighting off the hordes of Kobolds.
Mine and Tigris’ HP have already been restored to normal through the use of a recovery potion after the last battle.
Jean was also getting her HP back by sucking the blood of the Kobolds.
We’re all back to full health before we know it.

Looks like the next pair has not been hunted yet.
Good.
Thankfully they were located in a narrow passage so it was possible for me to slam Mezu into the wall many times over, enabling a rather easy kill.
Man, environmental hazards kick some serious ass!
Tigris is also working pretty well with the rest of the current team.
He is biting on Gozu fiercely while Jericho is holding his body down.
But compared to Goki, of course he would come out as inferior.
His moves are easy to predict, his attack power is not perfect either and we cannot forget that his reach does not even begin to hold a candle to Goki’s sword.
Not to mention that his level is still relatively low.
Even when Rig acts as his defense he still receives a fairly large bit of damage from every attack.
I wonder if I could cover some of his drawbacks by using my spells or perhaps potions.
Gozu gets defeated without the need for me to intervene and his corpse disappears without leaving anything behind.
It’s okay, I’m fine with that, it’s not like it would be nice to finally have some good drop out of them or anything.
All right, let us move on.
《【Dust Magic】Level Up!》
《Monster Summons『Tigris』Level Up!》

As expected.
Tigris is growing steadily thanks to the number of battles he’s been a part of now.
Maybe I should start using him as a member of the front guard more?
Level Up increased his VIT so I will add that 1 Bonus Point to his STR.

Yup.
Slowly but surely his numbers start looking quite nicely.
I think we could try hunting some of the Higher Gozus and Higher Mezus now.
Tigris has just gained a level, so I’ll still try to keep him from fighting alone on the frontlines, but with all of us here it might just work.

We will proceed with our usual plan.
First, I will start by strengthening all of us with spells and the we will engage them in battle out of which we will emerge victorious.
This time however, the victory was not so easy as I initially suspected.
When Tigris engaged Gozu, he focused almost exclusively on him.
He managed to avoid most of the attacks coming his way, but a few of them reached him and even with Rig attached to him he received quite a bit of damage.
And the worst part is that it was entirely my fault.
I allowed him to go too far when I should have kept him in the back.

Knowing that, I ordered Rig to be more Vigilant and focus entirely on Tigris’ defense.
It might be risky, but should I allow them to continue their assault so that they could increase their Synergy Lv?
That was a gamble on my part, but it paid off.
Both of them were acting as bait while others focused on bringing Higher Gozu down when he was distracted with Rig-covered Tigris prancing about at his feet.

Oh, that is quite a surprise, but not an unwelcome one.

《Please carry out the Class Change procedure on a separate screen.》
This is quite remarkable. He didn’t do anything significant and yet he’s able to change his class so soon!
Up until now he was mainly acting as our shield, but now he’ll be even more helpful to us, I’m sure of it!
In order to safely carry out the Class Change procedure I returned from the branch path to one of the smaller rooms next to the main hall of the cave and used an Instant Portal.
All right, it’s time to have some fun!
Looking at the possible options for the Class Change I noticed that something was different.
Class Change Conditions
Please choose 1 from the following skills configurations:
Fire Attribute, Wind Attribute, Earth Attribute, Water Attribute, Lightning Attribute, Ice Attribute, Tree Attribute
Resist Fire, Resist Wind, Resist Earth, Resist Water, Resist Lightning, Resist Ice Resist Tree
※Please bear in mind that it is not possible to have a combination of skills pertaining to the same attribute (example:a combination of Fire Attribute and Resist Fire is NG)
※The statistics will increase or decrease accordingly to the chosen attribute.
What is this?
I was confused at first, but I understood it after giving it a closer look.
The choice here would determine what Rig’s race after the Class Change will be.
It looked more or less like that:
Fire Attribute – Red Pudding
Wind Attribute – White Mousse
Earth Attribute – Black Gummy
Water Attribute – Blue Gelatin
Lightning Attribute – Yellow Pudding
Ice Attribute – Clear Jelly
Tree Attribute – Green Mousse
The statistics will increase or decrease according to the choice I will make? Like, WTF?!
That is beyond annoying!
What about the skills?
Dust Magic. Lava Magic, Magic Penetration Up?
Light Magic, Dark Magic and Space-Time Magic were also included.
Okay, so now let’s compare all of my options up. How about the size increasing one first?

The name and appearance does not seem to change, but obviously the size is going to be different.
I think the increase in size had something to do with the increase in VIT stat.
Currently what I need is something that won’t be a burden to those he attaches himself to, so I think I will go for the speed variant.
Now all I had to think about was the right combination of attribute and resistances.
This part is truly annoying.
I think he should have either Lightning Attribute, Ice Attribute or Tree Attribute.
The resistance will be Resist Fire. After all, fire is the bane of all Slimes no matter where you go, right?
I am still a little worried, but let’s go with that and see what happens.

A kind of Slime. The main means of attack are special abilities and magic.
Slightly translucent and yellow, controls lightning.
Huh?
Are the values of the status increases lower for this class?
No, it was the same for both Ice Attribute and Wood Attribute variant.
Incidentally, for Earth, Water and Wind attributes the status was exactly the same as the Fire Attribute.
The resistance remained the same no matter the option I chose.
Ehh, it might require some getting used to, but let’s go with Speed Up, Lighting Attribute and Fire Resistance after all.
That Class Change evidently made Rig faster.
He was moving a lot more smoothly now.
Other changes were a lot easier to both see and understand.
He is yellow now.
A huge, translucent ball of sentient goo.
And he jiggles with every movement.
When he gets on Tigris’ back he’s actually spreading to his sides a little.
I think it will be best to think about him as a translucent, moving piece of extra armor.
And for some reason, his current color scheme really suits Tigris.
What a strange, peculiar detail that is.
Ah well, I guess we’ll see what he’s really worth now when the time for another battle will come.
But for now, the only enemies we been fighting with are Floating Bombs which are massacred by Jean and Obsidian.
Let me reiterate, it’s not my fault they are so weak they die to Jean and Obsidian.
But finally, we found them again.

All right then, Rig, go on and show me what you’ve got, boy.
Or maybe I should let Tigris go together with him? Yeah, let’s go with that strategy.
The two went ahead into the new Rig’s first battle.
I see how his method of attack changed right off the bat.
Now that he’s a Yellow Pudding he attacks everyone who comes near him by electrocuting them, paralyzing them temporarily.
He is no longer just a sentient piece of gooey armor.
He has matured into his own person.
I feel like he and Tigris will be an even better duo now.
Gozu seems to be disliking their combination with a vengeance, because it roars at them every time he gets struck with a paralyzing bolt and his movements are stopped.
My other Monster Summons won’t miss such a chance.
Jericho seems to be especially aching to go.
Oh, that reminds me, I haven’t used his special ability today yet.
Can I still afford it?
I’ll have to check that the next chance I’ll get.
On our way to Gozu’s and Mezu’s next spawn point we encounter some minor enemies.
A herd of goblins and their lackeys, to be exact.
What a nostalgic sight that is.

It should go without saying that me mopped the floor with them, but it was only after the battle when I realized that I’ve f*cked up by forgetting something really important.
I haven’t set the 【Dismantle】skill back on yet.
No, wait.
Earlier when I picked that Cursed Rock Salt, was it set to ON?
I picked it up.
I was able to pick it up!
So….
Please let it work, please let it work, please let it work!
Alas, it did not work. It did not work. Even though it was such a long encounter.
Just try to imagine the anger and sorrow I’ve felt in this moment.
So what do you think will happen next?
Higher Gozu Lv3

You know, I think the world in which we live is a very unfair place.
Forgetting about turning that skill ON was undoubtedly my mistake, but even so…
…Even so, I simply had to vent my anger and frustration on those two.
I did just that, and we’ve won easily.
And OF COURSE they left nothing!
No, this is fine. I’m fine. I’m totally okay with the current state of things.
Next ones spawned in one of the side paths.
For this battle, I’ll relegate Goki to the rear guard where he will use his bow and arrows to support Jericho, Tigris and Rig.
Jean will also stay back this time.
Higher Gozu Lv4

Luckily we’ve found them in passive states.
When I finished buffing us with spells we’ve run straight to battle.
I am the one leading the charge.
I can feel the blood pumping through my head.
Now that I think about it, this will be my first time fighting against Gozu directly, right?
It might be, I don’t remember it and to be honest, I don’t really care.
Looking at it from up close, it really is just a hulking mountain of muscles.
A mountain of muscles with a Sasumata in hand.
Avoiding his attacks was not easy and required my reflexes to remain sharp at all times, but it was certainly doable.
But it’s impossible for me to best him alone.
The difference in power is just too great.
「Defense Fall!」
I have to use my spell.
Now I can leave this guy up to my Monsters, the same as I always did.
Jean was taking care of occupying Higher Mezu’s attention so I could sneak up on him.
He is so full of openings that it’s beyond ridiculous.
From where I was I wanted to try to knock the Tin Staff out of Higher Mezu’s hand, but his grip on it was surprisingly strong.
As a result I got noticed and whacked with said cane and the impact of the strike blew me backwards, taking 40% of my HP with it.
All right note to self: don’t try something so stupid ever again if you value your life.
So, how are the rest of my crew doing?
Ganged on by Jericho and the others I see. He squeezed his head with his hands while Goki launches arrows at him and Tigris and Jean attack him with their fangs and claws.
They have the situation under control, so that’s good I guess.
Examining Jericho more closely, his MP bar was constantly shrinking.
He’s using his special ability huh?
It didn’t take long for Higher Gozu to be defeated by Jericho, and Higher Mezu soon followed in his footsteps.
Hmm.
As expected, both of them dropped nothing, but that’s fine.
This battle made me realize that the drop rate of items is not the biggest of my problems.
The biggest problem is my fighting ability.
I couldn’t take Higher Gozu on by myself, and even with Higher Mezu, my physical attacks are starting to lack that [punch] they used to have.
If I wasn’t infused with spells, I bet my attacks would be totally useless even against him.
And even with them, I still needed to change my weapons on the fly for my DPS to be worth anything.
My Monster Summons were able to stand their ground just fine, but that was to be expected.
The time is now 11:00 AM.
It would be nice to find myself some quiet place where I could eat my lunch in peace.
I have already taken care of every Gozu and Mezu on the way to the Relay Portal, so none of them bothered me on the way there.
But before I do that, it looks like another team is facing off against Deva King.
A union of two parties, to be exact.
And one other party was watching them.
Among that party were Adel and Irina.
Weren’t they supposed to meet with me at the Wind Spirit Village this morning?
At least that’s what we agreed to on the chat.
But they seemed to have stayed here at the Relay Portal.
And apparently they were selling food to the players who were staying here to watch others fight.
But they sure are working diligently. Maybe that’s how they want to kill some time before having a stab at Deva King themselves?
I think they would fare pretty well against it, considering the fact that A-Gyo has a Fire Attribute and Un-Gyo represents the Earth Attribute.
Adel’s forte is Fire Magic and Irina excels at Earth Magic, so the two of them could complement each other with the resistances to their respective elements.
While we were waiting, Adel tried rather inquisitively to make me to voice my opinion about her Monster Summons.
Well I have to say, something like that is not bad every once in a while.
Maybe it was because I haven’t had such a pleasantly meaningless conversation in quite some time but I ended up listening to every word she had to say while I enjoyed the feeling of Toggle’s scales.
In the end, the two parties who made a Union somehow managed to defeat Deva King.
Looks like none of them were seriously harmed and they were now healing themselves with spells.
Maybe I’ll stay here for a bit to watch that next battle.
If you look closely, there are many players whose MP bars are so low that they can’t possibly be thinking about challenging Deva King themselves, therefore their goal is probably
The goal is not to fight, but to observe others, just like I’m doing now.
Adel and Irina come close to the statue after they buffed themselves with their spells and they touch it.
The battle begins.
Let’s see how this will turn out.
Deva King – A-Gyo Lv. 1
Heavenly Guardian Active
Battle Position: Ground Fire Attribute
Deva King – Un-Gyo Lv. 1
Heavenly Guardian Active
Battle position: Ground Earth Attribute
Even though their enemies are both Lv1, they absolutely cannot let their guard down for even a second.
That’s how dangerous the enemies they are currently facing are.
Adel and Irina on the other hand?
They are both Lv9 Summoners.
Looks like they managed to Level Up quite nicely before they decided to take on this challenge.
Let’s take a look at their status real quick.
Adel Lv9
Summoner On Alert
Tiger / Mii-chan Lv. 7
Monster Summons On Alert
Battle Position: Ground
Wolf / U-chan Lv6
Monster Summons Alert
Battle Position: Ground
Red Fox/ Kii-chan Lv5
Monster Summons On Alert
Battle Position: Ground
Her part of the party consists of a balanced roster of 2 monsters in the vanguard and the other 2 in the rear guard.
But the levels of her monsters are vastly inferior to her own.
Adel’s role here will be to guide her monsters properly without putting them through unnecessary risk.
Irina Lv9
Summoner On Alert
Viper / Toggle Lv7
Monster Summons On Alert
Battle Position: Ground
Tiger / Calico Lv6
Monster Summons Waiting
Battle position: Ground
Wood Golem / Goliath Lv5
Monster Summons Waiting
Battle Position: Ground
2 monsters in the front guard, 2 in the rear guard and one for the Hit & Run tactic.
Same as with Adel here: everything hinges on how well will Irina command her friends.
Adel faces A-Gyo while Irina goes against Un-Gyo.
The blades extend from the ground and go into the Deva King’s hands, signaling the beginning of the fight.
I think it’s safe to say that they should win the first round.
It was evident by the confidence and the lack of hesitation in their movements.
All of the monsters proceed towards the enemies while protecting their respective owners.
Adel and Irina both focus on supporting them from the sidelines.
They know that bow and arrows are ineffective against them so they mainly attack with offensive magic.
The attacks pile up one after another resulting in good damage, and the timing of their recoveries is also good.
After all, this battle hinges on them keeping their monster friends alive, so they are constantly on the lookout for their HP and heal them when it drops to 50%.
A-Gyo and Un-Gyo move in to attack but Irina stops them with a well-timed Wall spell.
Honestly speaking, their way of fighting is vastly different from my own.
This is probably how a real Summoner should fight his battles.
The fight lasted for quite some time.
That’s just how tough of an enemy Deva King is.
But still, Adel and Irina’s teamwork was superior.
And, at the end of the day, it was exactly that fact that allowed them to emerge victorious.
That’s right.
Both of them got a lot of Strange Salt (Holy) for their victory.
Since both of them enjoy cooking it’s understandable they were very happy.
Unfortunately, none of their Monster Summons managed to level up.
But if they will continue to accumulate victories like that one after another then I think that the Class Change for both Toggle and Mii-chan will not be as far off of a prospect as they have initially thought.
I look around, but there was no one who would go to fight Deva King next.
The only ones around were the members of the Gallery.
Irina insisted that I should go and just do it.
Ugh, what is this oppressive atmosphere I feel?
Oh, for God’s sake, fine!
Maybe I’ll be able to gain some good amount of experience that way?
Prompted by Irina, Adel stopped hugging Tigris like a fluffy pillow.
Oi there gal, how long have you been doing that?
Leave my Tigris alone, you already have your Mii-chan and Irina’s Calico, you know?!
Seriously, I just can’t take my eyes off you for even a moment.
When I finished strengthening my party, my MP bar was down to 60%.
It should be enough.
And oh, for all that is holy, do not forget to turn the 【Dismantle】skill back on.
I already have some salt, but I can always use some more.
With that in mind, I touch the statue.
When the confirmation message showed up I presses [yes] without hesitation.
And the statue starts to move.
Deva King – A-Gyo Lv4
Heavenly Guardian Active
Battle Position: Ground Fire Attribute
Deva King – Un-Gyo Lv4
Heavenly Guardian Active
Battle position: Ground Earth Attribute
Huh?
Aren’t they stronger than the ones Adel and Irina fought against?
I mean it’s nice that I get to have some actual challenge, but I wonder if I won’t get overwhelmed by them?
Maybe not, because we’ve gotten quite strong, but still, these guys are also the stronger versions of themselves.
And what do you know, we really ended up having a hard time.
I ended up fighting against A-Gyo, and it’s getting really hot in here.
Because of that increasing heat, the longer I fight, the more tired I get.
I attacked it countless times, but it absorbs a lot of the damage like a sponge.
Is my Resist Fire down already?
No, it’s still active.
But even so, it is still so unbearably hot in here.
Equipping myself with Tonfas and Bagh Nakhs I check how are my monsters doing.
They seem to be holding up pretty decently against Un-Gyo.
Jericho is doing especially good.
He’s using his Liquification ability to nullify the attacks which are coming his way.
Goki slashes at it with his sword and hatchet while Jean and Tigris aim for its weak spots.
Unloading on someone while laughing like a demon. How very… demon-like.
A-Gyo rushes straight at me.
Avoiding its head-slip attack I do all I can to not get hit and sneak a hit or two here and there. I aim my next strike at its elbow and attack it with all my might with a hand that held the Snow Leopard’s Bagh Nakh.
And I broke it. The elbow of the enemy was now broken and he was rolling on the ground in pain.
I used that chance to pounce unto A-Gyo’s neck and squeeze it with my thighs.
It tried to use its hands to break my hold of it, but I was just slightly faster.
It’s amazing how effective that was.
But even so, it won’t die so easily.
It still tries to break free of my leg lock.
This continued for a while.
A-Gyo tried to break free and whenever it did I just squeezed him harder.
Not to mention that I still had one free hand to use.
And my Defense Fall from the beginning of the battle was still active.
Thrash around all you want, buddy, but you cannot win against time.
I use my free hand to cast Gravity Bullet from point-blank range.
I did all that, and this guy was still standing.
What a tough beast it is.
However, I finally managed to best that beast with my amazing Judo skills.
Un-Gyo has been defeated roughly at the same time I was done with A-Gyo.
Hmm.
Jericho’s damage is not half bad, but it looks like it could still use some improvements.
《【Fire Magic】Level Up!》
《【Water Magic】Level Up!》
《【Space-time】Level Up!》
《【Resist Fire】Level Up!》
I hope that struggle is going to be well worth it.
And with that Deva King returned to its post once more.
Now where’s my drop for victory?
There was no salt, but another item instead.

Stories Of Indlu
“… to grow, for opportunity, for adventure, to be free. Join the colony ship Nao Vittoria. Be the first to live amongst the stars.” It was obvious from the literature that the NextStar corporation wanted the young, the adventurous and the brilliant. So why were the super rich fighting over seats? Why were AI’s trying to stow away? Did this signify a premature end to human/AI civilisation? Why had some questions directed to NextStar been aggressively sidelined? Why did the colonist inflight entertainment trial produce fatalities? In fact, why colonists at all? Those and many other questions, however, boiled down to a single central question. Why was the world’s most advanced AI dumped with a hundred year babysitting job for 50 million people speeding towards an uninhabitable planet? It made such little sense. The only sure way to get answers, catch a ride on the Nao Vittoria and play the inflight entertainment game, Pax Domini. I joined, and this is my story. Well, I feature. OK, I’m more of a spectator. Actually, I’m completely irrelevant I was just there. I’m only the storyteller. But what a story to tell. --------- Hi All, Content will be published weekly usually Saturday and typical posts will be 25oo to 4ooo words per post. Though for some reason the Royal Road word count does not include the content of tables so some posts may not appear to meet this criteria. Currently I have written sufficient unedited content to keep this schedule for the next 12 months (half way through the first story arc). My current productivity would indicate that I can maintain this schedule for well into the second story arch. This also allows for the additional content that will be posed exclusively on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/StoriesOfIndlu). This additional content follows minor characters, peripheral events, maps and other content that does not take away from the main story. I would love to accelerate the post schedule but to meet this I need the assistance of more beta readers than I currently have. So please let me know if you are interested. - Andy ©2022 Andy Leauter. Words I Left Unsaid
"Like a treasure map in a bottle, We were slowly drifting apart, Mother Nature sailing our purpose out to sea, The more I got to know you, I realised how much of a hoax your devotion was, Almost as fake as the smile I paint across my shattered face."This collection of poetry releases trauma in the form of expression - mainly the words I could never build up the courage to say. Most of these poems present conflict of the mind and allude to mental health struggles, which may be relatable to a certain community of people.Ranks -#3 in poem#3 in poembook#8 in poetry collection #7 in sadpoems#6 in poemcollection #7 in wisdom #15 in poetic
