Chapter 109: The Most Stunning One (1)

‘Sobs, Mu Tingfeng keeps to himself. He looks at everyone like he’s surveying a graveyard. Even so, why do all the women glue themselves to him like bees to honey? Are the rest of the nice men all dead?!’

At a cream table not far away from them, a fair young man dressed in a white suit stared mischievously at Mu Tingfeng who had been bothered about by others. A hint of disdain appeared in his eyes.

“What’s wrong? Are you jealous of him? Why don’t you walk up to him so that others could have their eyes opened to admire your tall physique? I’m sure most of the women would turn around and look at you within an instant,” Ye Yan swirled the champagne in the wine glass and whispered to him.

“Don’t… There’s no need to do so. It’s not easy to finally have someone who could grab the ladies’ attention so that I could stay in peace. I don’t want to get myself into unnecessary troubles,” Ling Ran’s smile stiffened, and hurriedly waved his hand as if he had been shocked.

Ye Yan glared at him in disdain and did not speak more.

Soon after, Ling Ran did not want to be left alone and so, he took the initiative and went up to Ye Yan. He put his arm around Ye Yan’s shoulders and said, “By the way, don’t you feel depressed? What’s so good about that guy? He’s not as handsome as me, neither is he as gentlemanly, soft-spoken, or as thoughtful as you. I wonder how is he a ladies’ man. You know, those girls used to be all around you.”

Ling Ran was not exaggerating. Ye Yan was the youngest child who was the apple of the elders’ eyes in the Ye family. He came from a well-off family and had good looks. Most of the time, he was very good at using his strengths to achieve his goals.

He was so gentle that he could coax the ladies until they fell head over heels for him. Therefore, he could easily get his hands on any of the ladies and were otherwise highly sought-after at the banquet.

Today, not only had Mu Tingfeng abruptly appeared at the banquet. It was such a rare sight that even Ye Yan restrained himself. He had been standing at a corner ever since his arrival just to reduce his presence.

If this were the past, the girls surrounding him would have changed several rounds. Something was wrong. Something was truly not right.

“Are you sure you’re not impressed? That lady looks pretty good,” Ling Ran nudged him and smiled as he said.

Ye Yan swept across Zhao Youxi faintly with his almond-shaped eyes. A hint of disgust was shown in his eyes.

“Do you think a woman who lacks grace and even treats her values as nothing, as well as being so openly promiscuous is worthy of me?”

Even if he forgot about how harsh her words had been to him before this, her shameless confession to a man at the banquet in the open air had put the men from the great families into shame. Not forgetting, the woman still had a so-called boyfriend.

He thought a woman like her was very dirty. So, how could he possibly be fighting for her with Mu Tingfeng?

“Promiscuous?”

Ye Yan glared at Ling Ran and blurted out sarcastically, “Her current boyfriend is Yunfan.”

“What? So, she’s his girlfriend!” Ling Ran exclaimed and looked at Zhao Youxi. A hint of disgust unwittingly appeared in his eyes.

Initially, a woman like her who had the guts to confess to Mu Tingfeng before the public had piqued his interest.

After finding out that she was nothing like a virtuous and an upright woman and instead, she was used to confessing her love to everyone, he no longer thought it was a matter of boldness.

Ye Yan was teased by Ling Ran’s expression who seemed like he just had a mouthful of mud in his mouth. He turned around and looked at Mu Tingfeng and the people surrounding him, then he whispered, “I don’t mind having all the girls fall for him as long as she doesn’t.”

Today, he came here just because he heard that she was going to attend the banquet as well. He had come for her. As long as she no longer had any feelings for Mu Tingfeng, nothing else mattered to him.

“She?!” Ling Ran keenly captured the keyword from Ye Yan’s words. He was immediately alerted, ‘Did any unusual thing happen to him without my knowledge?’

On the other hand, upon hearing Zhao Youxi’s shocking remarks, Li Hongyu and Zhao Shuncheng’s expressions instantly changed. However, what they had in mind was different from each other.

Li Hongyu’s face darkened. A hint of disappointment due to her daughter’s ignorance appeared in her eyes. She clenched her fists tightly under her sleeves. Her fingernails nearly pierced into her flesh.

She had taken great pains to reach her current position from her once lower-class society. Therefore, she had paid special attention to the upper-class society’s etiquette, habit and quality of upbringing.

She had worked hard to pick up the skills for more than a decade just because she did not want anyone to pick her faults and expose her shortcomings in this area.

However, little did she know that while she had been very careful not to expose her shortcomings after more than a decade, the one who had exposed her was actually her own daughter!

No matter how promiscuous the women from the upper-class society were from the shadows, they had to appear good on the surface.

Even though the rest of the women had targeted Mu Tingfeng and wished to sleep with him right away, they definitely would not do what Zhao Youxi did by confessing to him so blatantly. At most, they would drop hints at him reservedly and in modesty.

Meanwhile, Zhao Shuncheng appeared more relaxed in contrast to Li Hongyu’s frustration. He did not grow angry because of his daughter’s abruptness. Instead, he was happy about it.

He had no idea that his second daughter was also very fond of Mu Tingfeng. This was great. Even though she already had a boyfriend who was the heir of the Nie family, the Mu family obviously weighed more than the Nie family.

If his second daughter was able to ride on the Mu family’s coattails and gained support from the Mu family, then his status in the Zhao family in the future would…

About his daughter’s confession before the public on the spot, he was not ashamed of it. In fact, he was proud of her. After all, he was the same type of person as her.
