Chapter 90: It’s None of Your Business (3)
Zhao Youlin froze. Indeed, she had such a plan in mind.
Ever since she and Joy left the Mu family’s house, she had wanted to spend the compensation she gained from the Mu family and opened a pastry shop of her own so that she could earn some income to support her son and herself.
Moreover, she had started to look for a nearby outlet to set up the store during her spare time of late.
‘But, how does the rascal know about this?! Unless he has assigned someone to follow me?!’
Zhao Youlin’s mind raced. However, she remained calm as usual. When she settled down, she smiled faintly and said, “President Mu, I don’t think this has anything to do with you, right?”
Mu Tingfeng did not mind taking more of Zhao Youlin’s sharp tongue. He replied indifferently, “Soon it will. What do you think about the outlet opposite Westlake University?”
Zhao Youlin froze. The outlet across from Westlake University where Mu Tingfeng mentioned was exactly her preferred choice and most suitable outlet after many days of searching.
Pastries were mostly desserts and young girls went crazy for them. There was no shortage of young girls in universities. On top of that, boys trying to earn their hearts often resorted to buying desserts for them. Also, Westlake was a fully-developed area in S City. As such, it was quite crowded. There were ample business opportunities and so one could make money easier.
Of course, the crucial factor was the fact that Westlake was only a stone’s throw away from Zhao Youlin’s current stay. If she were to conduct a business over there, it would provide much convenience for her in terms of distance.
However, why had Mu Tingfeng brought this up? Was he asking her tentatively or was he trying to warn her? Was he attempting to warn her that he could bring her down whenever he desired and she would end up going back to square one?

Zhao Youlin held back her anger. She put on a false smile and said, “President Mu, like I said, this has nothing to do with you, right? We’re here to discuss about the things that you have taken. Yesterday, you’ve mentioned that as long as I personally come to take them back, you would return them to me. Now, I’m standing before you, don’t you think you should give me back my things?!”
Although Mu Tingfeng’s eyes did not meet hers, he had been observing each and every change of expression on her face from the corners of his eyes.
After many years of experience in the business world, President Mu knew that he could not always handle matters matter by force. So, he did not make things difficult for Zhao Youlin. He took out the folder that Zhao Youlin had been longing for from his side and placed it on the table.
Zhao Youlin’s eyes sparkled. She reached out and was about to retrieve the folder. However, when she stretched out her hand to take it, she could not move it at all.
She raised her head and looked at the man opposite her. He had actually pinned the folder against the table with a hand.
“President Mu, what is the meaning of this?!” Zhao Youlin felt the veins on her forehead popping.
Mu Tingfeng did not even raise his eyebrow. He said nonchalantly, “Why are you investigating the people from the police force?”
“You’ve even peeked them through!”
“Peeked?” Mu Tingfeng seemed to disagree with the use of this word and refuted, “You also peeked mine.”
“Hehe! I only saw a pile of scrap paper. Meanwhile, what you saw was something that is very important to me.”
A flash of light darted across Mu Tingfeng’s eyes. He said calmly, “They are no different from trash.”

‘Then, why are you still holding so tightly to them instead of giving them back to me? You pervert!’ Zhao Youlin spoke out in her mind, annoyed.
When Mu Tingfeng saw that Zhao Youlin did not continue, he frowned and repeated the question, “Why are you investigating the people from the police force?”
Zhao Youlin glared at him. Then, she seemed to realize something. Her deep eyes sparkled.
She placed her right hand on the table to support herself. She moved forward a little to Mu Tingfeng like an elegant Persian cat and said, “President Mu, do you really want to know about it?”
There was only a small coffee table between the two. When Zhao Youlin drew closer this way, they were so close their noses were touching.
At that moment, Mu Tingfeng could even see his own reflection in her pair of deep brown eyes.

The fallen (?) hero and Aži Dahāka's soul fragment
I have to apologize.A certain real life problem that I thought I got rid of has caught up to me once again.I tried to continue writing, but my mind was not in the right track to do so and thus, as some people had said, the quality of the latest 2 chapters had turned from the usual "bad" to "worst". So, I reluctantly have to say that I will be away until I can sort things out.I can't say when, but I do intend to return to writing. I might lurk around to read other people's works though. I will be turning my attention to stories with "tragedy" and "despair". The five of us were summoned to this world from our clubroom two years ago to be made as heroes.Shouldn't forceful summoning like that be counted as kidnapping?Well, we chose to go with the heroes route. After harsh training and battles, not to mention all the killings, we finally defeated the demon lord. However, all those achievements literally became nothing, it wasn't just forgotten, it was erased to be totally nothing as even the written records were somehow being disposed of. I was too naive. Who would have thought that the side we have been fighting alongside with, the side we were fighting for, was the one to bring our demise? After I had to see everyone else turn into nothingness, somehow... I alone survived. Note: I will attempt to fix the grammar problem with the help of lieutenant colonel fletterman. This may delay the release of future chapter. Chapter 1 is fixed. Chapter 2 is fixed.

Or themselves? For free will is precious and the die only rolls once. ----- This is a tale of how a [System] died, but don't tell people that, it is kind of a big spoiler. Although, it is implied from the first few chapters, so it might not be that big of a deal? ----- I'm a novice at writing and the story might have plotholes due to lack of careful planning, but I hope you readers will enjoy the journey as I do enjoy writing this. Not very familiar with the tagging system, so I'm going to take suggestions other than the ones I checked myself, thank you! Updates will be on Monday and Thursday each week. UTC +7
