The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 152

The chest opened as soon as the golden key was inserted in it.
Jay who had been desperately trying to get it and wanted to see what was inside, now finally got the chance to know about it.
So without a doubt he couldn't control himself.
He just wanted to know the thing that was inside the box and wanted to test it if it was beneficial to him or not.
The moment the lid of the box opened, a blinding radiance was emitted which was more than enough to force Jay close his eyes.
The radiance was brighter than the shine that was being emitted by the gold coins that was present there.
Regardless, Jay didn't care about it and no matter what happened, he wanted to see it right away.
That was why he forced himself to open his eyes in order to take a look at it.
He somehow managed to open his eyes despite the great intensity.
He could easily feel a weird burning sensation from the eyes and tried to endure the pain.
But his vision kept on getting blurry because of the tears which started to be secreted in a large amount which was a reflex action performed by the body.
'What the...', he wiped his tears and then took a look at it clearly.
"Huh...? This...", he was neither shocked nor astonished after taking a look at what was present inside the box.
In fact he was quite shocked when he saw thenitem that had been kept in such a place.
"What's with this... tattoo...?", he asked himself.
There wa wondered a talesman like a paper placed inside the box but more than that it seemed like a tattoo to him.
Though he didn't dislike it, he was confused to find something like this here.
"Strange... too strange...", that was the onny thing that went through his mind while staring at the tattoo.
On seeing him observing it so keenly, Res' interest was piqued and he almost immediately walked towards Jay to ask him what the item inside the chest was.
Although Jay didn't have any intention of revealing or showing it to someone else, he couldn't possibly reject Res who had just saved his life and helped in getting the chest.
So it was only right for Jay to show this to Res too.
"Here...", he passed the box to Res.

"..."
"I don't know what that is..."
"It's probably something that might come in Use here...", was what he said and paused right after that when he saw that Res' expression took a weird turn.
"What happened...?", he asked in a low voice to Res who was smirking in an evil way.
Jay failed to understand the reason for such laughter but he did know that this probably was because of the tattoo.
He wanted to know about it and this asked, "So... what is it?"
Res was quiet for a while. He too just kept staring at the tattoo while smiling like a crazy maniac.
Though, he then handed the box back to Jay and then just turned himself and started walking out of the door:
"Wait!!! Tell me... what is...", he was trying his beat to inquire but it seemed as if Res didn't have any reason to tell Jay about it.
Jay was completely sure after looking at Res' expression that He definitely knew something, but he didn't have the idea as to why he wasn't telling him.
Res moves away and exited the gold Room already and so did Jay.
Both of them were now standing in the area where the large statue was present.
Jay wanted to know what the tattoo was but Res kept walking away as if he didn't want Answer.
"Sir Res...?", But Jay was also stubborn and no matter what happened, he wanted to find out what the tattoo exactly was.
He was about to call Res again when all of a sudden he stopped.
He turned back and said, "This is not a tattoo..."
"Huh...? Then,..? What is it?", Jay was now finally excited to hear what Res has to say and aaaited his answer.
"This is called..."
"The Runes.", he said.
"The runes?", Jay was astonished when he heard that because earlier he had got some Rune stone too.
He couldn't completely understand and wanted to ask Res to explain about it when all of a sudden Res walked towards him.
"Here..."
He handed the chest back to Jay.
Jay didn't know what to do with it right now. He did somewhat know the word 'Rune' but more than that he had no idea about its functions and other things.
Though he grabbed the chest and then took a look at the tattoo.

"So sir Res, can you tell me what this is-", he was going to ask about it so that he would be able to understand it's function when all of a sudden a fire ball cane flying his way.
"Huh...?", the fire ball was right in front of his eyes which was at least as huge as a school bus.
'BOOM'
"What just...", Jay took a look here and there only to find that he was alright.
When he looked in front of him, he could see a Portal probably in which the fire ball ended up getting sucked.
Thanks to that he didn't get hit by that.
However, the attack hit the floor of the area a bit far away from Jay.
The attack was powerful enough to cause huge cracks on the ground.
And without a doubt it could be considered as an attach from an S rank beast.
But then again there was no beast in the surrounding, so the onny conclusion that could be bright about was an assassin that was probably targeting them.
Though that possibility also had a less chance because no one probably knew about the location of the sky dungeon and thus no one could actually come here to just kill someone.
"What the...", Jay was confused when all of a sudden he found another fire ball laughed which reached right in front of him yet again.
At the same time Res moved his Portal too thanks to which the fire ball attack again hit somewhere else, but unfortunately there was another fire ball which ended up hitting Jay.
'BOOM'
It seemed as if two fire balls were launched simultaneously whose location wasn't able to be found because the attacks would just appear when they are in mid air as if when they are launched, they are invisible.
"JAY!!!", Res shouted at the top of his voice when he saw the fire ball crash right in Jay.
He couldn't even imagine what might have happened to him because the attack was indeed not simple and thus it might have caused a fatal injury too.
He was quite panicked at the moment but then all of a sudden he heard Jay's voice.
"Oh man, that was close...", Jay said with an awkward expression on his face.
"Huh...?", Res has a surprised expression on his face because after the mist that was generated disappeared, he saw Jay standing completely unscathed.
It wasn't a scene that could be seen just like that.
Furthermore it wasn't that the attack was weak either. In fact the attacks were getting stronger and thus without a doubt the attack would be quite strong.
So it remained a mystery to Res as to how Jay dodged the attack or took the atta m head on and was fine.
'That was...'
'Really really close!!!'
==========
[ You have activated the skill Blaze Sucker ]
[ All the excess heat has been converted into MP ]
[ Due to high physical resistance only 0.01% of the damage due to explosion was dealt by the body ]
==========
Jay smiled because at the right moment the system got activated again and he could use his skills yet once again!
If not, then without a doubt he would have been in a trouble.
He took a look at another message that had been popped up just before the skill's message.
==========
[ 100% Of MP has been restored ]
[ Fatigue is 0% ]
[ Program was successful ]
[ 10% boost in all stats for 00:00:02:00 ]
==========
The message was without a doubt good for him and was like a life saviour.
"Jay... are you alright?", Res asked to confirm if he was really alright and wasn't hurt.
To that Jay just nodded his head with a smile right after which he had a fierce gaze in his eyes and was turning his gazes from one point to the other.
'Let's see...'
'The attacks are mostly directed at me...'
'Does that mean...', for a moment Jay was lost in his own thoughts.
It was as if he was finishing clues about the attack.
'Ya... that might be the case...'
While he was thinking, another attack was launched which became visible only when it had almost reached Jay yet again and this time the attack was faster too.
'Stealth...'
The moment he used stealth, he became invisible and so did the chest right after which he heard a loud cry which literally made his ears bleed.
"I WON'T GIVE YOU MY STAFF!!!"
"..."
