He was surrounded by 2 Fire Golem Kings. He is was in a dire situation which couldn't be described by mere words.
It was easily predictable that he wouldn't survive this since his power was not enough to even confront a single one of them.
One could say that he was run out of luck.
"Damn... what do I do?"
He was cowering in fear.
Even the timer for the Heat Conversion was running out.
There were only 1 minute left.
"Tsk, even if I don't fight I'll die, it's better to at least try to live..."
He immediately pulled out the blood sword.
"Hyaaaaaa...."
He swung his sword with great forced aimed at the The Fire Golem king that was standing in front of him.
The Golem's were not intelligent species and they weren't aware of any tactics.
However the Golem Kings who have attained remarkable power by accumulating a lot of magma and heat throughout their life spam were different.
They were having tons of experience and were intelligent enough to perform small tactics.
"Uhh... the sword is still heavy.... dammit!"
Jay couldn't move towRds either of them since he was under the lava which was like water. Hence he decided to throw the sword at one of them.
"Hyaaaaa!!!"
The sword went with great speed which spinning on its way to one of the Golem Kings and dashed it.
'BAM'
"Yes!!!"
Jay immediately started running towards the surface to escape from them when he felt an intense killing intent that was having a great pressure which made him immobile.
It was as if he was paralysed.
"What the..."
The Golem King that was hit with the sword had its arm destroyed which was reformed in an instant. However this enraged it and it was coming swiftly towards Jay to destroy him.

"Oh no... this can't be happening..."
He immediately used the skill Lightning Strike to attack it.
"Lightning Strike!!!"
The skill was indeed powerful which blew away the entire head of the Golem King, however it regenerated again.
It was futile but thanks to that he was able to move freely and due to the shock wave that was generated from the attack he was pushed out of the lava.
"Ughhh... phew... that was close!"

Breathing heavily.
However his trouble hadn't ended. The Golem Kings followed him to the surface and emerged out from it and landed just in front of Jay.
"What the..."
But even before Jay could take any action or understand anything, both of the Fire Golem Kings attacked almost immeditely with on of their most powerful skills [Magma Burst].
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!"

The attack was powerful enough to in fluctuations damage to even a dragon so Jay wasn't any exception.
The attack hit him directly and he was heavily burnt.
His skin had been destroyed and he was bleeding heavily.
He had lost his consciousness the moment the attack hit him and his mouth was left open.
His internal organs were also damaged to such an extent that without immediate treatment he wouldn't be able to survive.
The Fire Golem Kings stared at him and then started to return to the magma lake when suddenly something dark stretched out from Jay's shadow and wrapped both the Fire Golem Kings' legs.
"ROARRRR!!!"
Both of them roared angrily and were about to attack again with a stronger spell.
But suddenly the dark thing wrapped their mouths from where they were about to attack.

What can I say, I'm a sucker for rebirth, regression, and transmigration stories. This one is a regression story. The main character get's yeeted back in the past, to where the end began. Read on tortured souls as I do my best to break the weak, and sooth those who don't have a soul to break. I spent some time trying to make a story that explores all the gritty situations a resident of the apocalypse would encounter. Unfortunately, I do struggle with pace. I get just as impatient as you when I can't get to the next bloody encounter. But I despise OP characters, and I really wanna stop and explore the fascinating death of civilization. I write this in hopes of making a main character who get's to be the bad-ass I can't be, without, you know, skipping the good stuff.
