The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 26

"Okay, I'll be back soon."
After saying this Jay hurried towards the forest that was just ahead of them at a distance of about 700 metres.
"Huff huff, it's good that I can run so fast but my stamina... it's not that good. I guess I have to work on it."
Jay was standing at the entrance of an unknown forest. In fact that s was the first time for him to encounter a situation such as this.
But the situation was a bit better, at least that's what he felt because he could see the details about this forest thanks to his system.
__________
[THE MIST FOREST]
- A forest which is covered with poisonous mist.
- Poison ineffective against Level 50 and above.
- Species highly resistant to poison found.
- Unknown area detected within the forest.
Levels not met to unlock further details.
__________
"Oh well, it states that if someone is above level 50, he won't be affected by the poison. That would mean that some of the beasts found here might be above level 50."
He was smirking after looking at the description since the forest looked as a mine full of resources to him. Since the forest was covered with poisonous mist, the plants, beasts and even other existences might be highly immune to it.
If he could get some of those resources he could sell them at high values while also increasing his own power.
"Very well, let's go then."
He took out a scarf and tied around his face while properly covering his nasal openings and mouth ensuring that no poison enters his body.
He then enters the forest and takes each and every step carefully.
He kept walking for around 3 hours and reached the centre of the forest without even realising.

"Now this is weird, I have been walking for so long but I haven't seen even a single beast come out and attack."
It was indeed weird. He was a bit hesitant to go any further but at the same time he had collected many plants and wanted to collect some more.
He kept walking for another 30 minutes and then suddenly he started feeling dizzy.
"Wh-what's happening? It's as if I'm losing my senses... this is weird, is it because of poison? But how?"
He wasn't sure but had somewhat estimated that the poison was making him dizzy. And while thinking he found a small cut near his mid thigh.
"Oh dammit! So that's why, the posion might have entered my body, I might have got a cut due to some sharp blade like leaf..."
But still it was weird. When he had just fell into this Portal he heard large number of growling and barking kind of voice. But now, it was as if the world had entered a silent phase.
This was as far as he could think because the poison had made his thinking slow too.
He was now very tired. Without thinking anything else he kept on walking for another 30 minutes after which all of his strength was consumed and he suddenly fell unconscious.
