The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 8

"Are... Are you kidding me? This time it's humans and you want me to be your proxy? Get lost you big lizard!!!"
At least that's what Jay Down wanted to say but he was aware of the gravity of his situation. He had to think carefully before uttering any word out of his mouth.
"Well... being a proxy is not bad... but why did you choose me...?"
It was obvious that Jay neither had any special skills nor any special talents.
"Grrr... human, are you doubting my choice?"
"N-No. What I mean to say is, I'm not as strong as you think. I'm probably the weakest human ever alive... so I'm the most unsuitable person to be your proxy..."
The real reason why Jay didn't want to be the proxy was because he didn't want to take any great responsibilities.
"Haha... well that will be seen after I grant you the title... till then all humans are just ants... so it doesn't matter if you are the weakest ant..."
"Eh? Ants? Sigh... I forgot with whom I was speaking..." *thinking*
"It doesn't matter whether an ant is strong or weak... in the end they are just ants and that's how he looks at us..." *thinking*
Of course he couldn't speak out loud but these were his real thoughts.
"Haha... but you aren't among them human..."
"Eh!? Not among them? What do you mean?"
"How to say it... your powers... you might have not realized yet but... you are far more stronger than the weak ants..."
"Ha!? My powers? But I don't have any powers of such quality... just a bit of fast healing capabilities and long distant vision..."
Jay was stating the truth. It was something he always has but whenever he tried to learn something new he would always fail.

"Hahahaha... it's amusing human... but what I told isn't a lie. Your powers are great, it's just that you haven't learnt how to use them... or maybe not awakened yet!"
"I'm tired of denying him... if I had the power I would have been like a hero... but what he told makes sense... I haven't learned how to use... or not awakened it yet?" *thinking*
"Then..."
"What?" (The Black Dragon)
"Can you compare my powers with any object or any thing that comes to your mind?"
Jay wanted to know that how great his so called powers were.
"..." ( The Black Dragon)
"..."
"Uh...I'm sorry I just blurted out of excitement..."
"Dragon..." (The Black Dragon)
"Eh? Yes?"
"Your powers are like a dragon... a sleeping dragon... which has disguised itself as an ant..."
"Huh...!?"
Jay wasn't able to believe what he had just heard. He wanted to jump with excitement.
"I wish I had a voice recorder here... I could have recorded a true dragon praising me!" *thinking*
"Re-really? My power is equivalent to that of a dragon?"
Jay's eyes were sparkling as he said this. After all seeing a dragon, that too a true dragon, appreciating a human's power to this level was not a daily occurrence.
"Yes, your power is that strong, but you aren't able to use even an ounce of that power!"
"..."
"Ya... I'm pathetic... even with this vast power... I'm useless..."

After almost 25,000 people had logged on, it was then known that they wouldn’t be able to exit out of the game. Essentially trapping them inside. Removing the headset will mean death. Return of Chaos
For the longest time, it was thought that the citizens of Earth were the only denizens of the galaxy incapable of developing superhuman abilities — but recent events have flipped that assumption on its head. Between Austin Travis, Mote Emerson, Pierce Bradley, and their friends, Earth is now host to 12 Chaotics… as well as a myriad of mysteries surrounding them. From a new nemesis in the form of a clone, to connections to ancient technology from a long-lost civilization, to the ability to summon powerful legendary weapons, these 12 Chaotics have unknowingly become entangled in something larger than any of them have ever imagined. As if in response to these discoveries, the sinister machinations of galactic evil are churning. The metallic infection, a calamitous nanotechnology “disease” thought to have been vanquished 20 years ago, is slowly returning — and alongside it, a number of conflicts thought to be long past. While they only seek to better grasp their own abilities, Earth’s Chaotics will soon find themselves in the crossfire of returning threats and old heroes. These superpowered Earthians may not have chosen this path through life, but it will still be up to them to determine if history remembers them — to determine if history remembers the saga of the Keys. Return of Chaos is a direct sequel to Chosen Chaos, which begins the Key Saga novel series. Be sure to read Chosen Chaos first, to understand the plot and the characters thus far! Additionally, the Key Saga as a whole takes place 20 years after Rise. You will not need to read Rise to understand the events of Return of Chaos, however the latter will spoil many of the events that occurred in Rise, due to the simple chronology of taking place later in the timeline.
