The Abandoned Hunter Chapter 2

"This is really weird. I don't know why but I'm feeling a bit uneasy. Hey Kim bro, why don't we return for now?"Jay said this with a shrill voice. His words were wavering as if they didn't want to leave his mouth.
"Hahaha, what are you saying? We are having a wonderful time here. We are almost at the boss's room. We will clear it and return at once. Don't be scared. Hahaha"was what Kim said to attract attention to himself.
The remaining hunters were also laughing at what Jay had said. He was a bit frustrated as his words were completely neglected but at the same time the feeling of uneasiness kept on bothering him.
Jay was turning his head towards his left and right again and again repeating it every second. And on seeing this some of the hunters criticized him and were asking him if it was a Circus show.
But no matter how angry Jay was, he kept his cool and humbly accepted all the criticism.
Soon 30 minutes passed and all of them reached the boss's room.
Well it was quite unusual because the door at the entrance was 20 times bigger than any other door that was found till now.
All of them were quite bewildered at the sight. They were surprised as well as happy as they believed that they would get would get greater rewards.
So they immediately tried to open the door that was standing majestically. All the hunters used their brute force to push the door open, however their efforts failed.
They repeated the process and tried again and again. However, every time they would fail to move the door even by an inch.
So they decided to take some rest and then try later.
Some of the hunters had the expression showing that they were tired and some were breathing quite heavily.

Some or the other way they all had lost their confidence and dedication. Some had even lost their patience and wanted to go back immediately. The atmosphere was dull and all they could do was cuss about the door.
But no one had paid attention to Jay Down.
He was the only one among them who had a different expression.
He was quite shocked by seeing the door.
"This... this door. Where have I seen this before?" While scratching his head Jay started to think deeply about it.
Jay felt that he was somewhat close to the door. It was as if he had already seen the door previously somewhere.
He was lost in his thoughts and before he could realize, he was already near the door.
"Fabulous... this door... no... This isn't door!!!"
He suddenly remembered something.
"This... this is a gate! The gate of Reus"
He suddenly said that without even knowing anything. It was something that suddenly came up in his mind.
He slowly went close to it and touched it lightly.
"Eh? What am I doing? Sigh... I should go back and eat something."
He immediately started to walk with his back faced towards the gate.
He had hardly walked 20-30 steps when suddenly, the door started moving.
"Wh-what is happening? The door! THE DOOR!"
All the hunters shouted by looking at the door.
The door moved all the way and a wide entrance was created.
All the hunters suddenly stood up and started running towards the entrance as they wanted to be the first one to get the reward.
Jay was no different. He too wanted to get the rewards and by seeing the hunters go, he started following them. But as soon as he had decided to go, a voice suddenly told him something.
"D-don't go... it is dangerous."
"Eh? Who"

The Runners of Westal
Anya Vorian wasn't picky. She'd take any apprenticeship that came her way. She, Lori and Andrew had prepared all winter for the interviews, but when only one offer came with her name on it, she suddenly wasn't so sure that she could do it. It was hard work, for one thing. It was dirty. They were respected, certainly, but in the sort of way that one respects a skilled plumber - grateful to have the job done, but glad it isn't your arms elbow deep in dung. In short, runners were odd folk. Maybe it was time to get fast. - A first-person tale inspired by long distance running.

Ten Thousand Sallys
Imagine waking up in a hospital room, you can barely move. No one comes when you call. The only other person present is a little boy, who is, surprisingly, more help than you would expect. She is in deep trouble and the consequences will be dire if she can’t find a way out. She is a fighter, though, and just doesn't quit. She has to do her best, and maybe her best is pretty good. As Sally uncovers more about her situation, she finds that she has to be smart and tough and that in this place she needs to depend on her friends, who are using her as much as she is using them. This book contains themes concerning life, death, and body functions, light swearing, minimal nakedness, and should be suitable for most. Some pertinent info: Ten Thousand Sallys is a complete novel of approximately 140 pages in 20 chapters. Around 80,000 words. not too long, and maybe too short.
