Dragon Prince Yuan Chapter 836

“Sky Obscurer Beast?”
In the pavilion master building, Yi Qiushui gazed at Zhou Yuan, who had anxiously appeared before her. She was silent for a while before she said, “I’ve heard of it before. It's an extremely powerful Genesis Beast, and a peak-tier Sky Obscurer Beast is rated at grade seven.”
“Grade seven?”
Zhou Yuan’s expression changed slightly. A grade-seven Genesis Beast was equivalent to a human Nascent Source stage expert!
“Of course that’s only with regards to the peak existences among Sky Obscurer Beasts. Ordinary ones are grade six,” said Yi Qiushui.
“Grade six is still equivalent to the Heavenly Sun stage.” Zhou Yuan frowned deeply. Even with his numerous trump cards, he could only run from a Heavenly Sun stage opponent, and he was incapable of putting up any resistance.
“Are there any Sky Obscurer Beast hearts for sale in the Tianyuan Utopia?” Zhou Yuan shot his second question.
“Sky Obscurer Beast heart?” Yi Qiushui’s brows furrowed slightly. “Sky Obscurer Beasts are already very rare. You may have some luck if you’re looking for its Beast Spirit Crystal, but something like its heart is honestly just not worth as much. Hence, very few would bother to sell it.”
Zhou Yuan was quite disappointed. The Heavenly Yuan Brush had already made itself clear. It needed a Sky Obscurer Beast heart and not a Sky Obscurer Beast’s Spirit Crystal.
This outcome made Zhou Yuan a little gloomy. A live Sky Obscurer Beast was rated at grade six, and he was currently incapable of defeating one, but there also seemed to be no way to purchase a Sky Obscurer Beast heart. What could he do?
Zhou Yuan seated himself as he shook his head and sighed. Would he have to keep delaying the awakening of the Heavenly Yuan Brush’s sixth rune?
Yi Qiushui felt a little helpless. She could only bite her red lips and wrack her brains for an idea.
After a long time, Yi Qiushui’s expression suddenly changed slightly as if recalling something. She summoned a Wind Pavilion guard from the door and gave him some instructions before the guard swiftly left.
Upon seeing this, Zhou Yuan immediately asked in a spirited manner, “Have you thought of something?”

Yi Qiushui rolled her eyes at him as she replied, “Great pavilion master, please wait for a while and let me make sure before telling you.”
Zhou Yuan chuckled. It felt good to have people to order around.
The two waited for a while before the guard swiftly returned with a big stack of papers.
Yi Qiushui received the stack and returned to her seat to begin carefully looking through them.
Sunlight shone from the window, sprinkling onto her body. Her neat long black hair reached all the way to her slender waist. Her bosom bulged significantly while her face, shaped like a goose egg and as clean as jade, gave off a certain gentleness and charm.
Zhou Yuan shot a glance at her before hurriedly withdrawing his gaze and reciting Yaoyao’s name in his heart a hundred times.
When Zhou Yuan finished his tea, Yi Qiushui finally did a little stretch, accentuating her waist lines. A faint smile emerged on her face as she stood up, picked up one of the pieces of paper and walked over to place it beside Zhou Yuan.
“Found it.” She beamed.
Zhou Yuan hurriedly received the paper as his gaze swept across it. It was a mission issued by the Tianyuan Region called “Hunting the Sky Obscurer Beast”.
He did a quick look through. It seemed that Sky Obscurer Beast tracks had been discovered in the southwest area of the Tianyuan Region, threatening the city in the area and resulting in substantial losses.
“A live Sky Obscurer Beast?” Disappointment appeared in Zhou Yuan’s eyes.
He couldn’t beat a living one!
“Can’t you look at it properly?” Yi Quishui unhappily said. She pulled one side of the mission brief and pointed at a certain spot as she nodded. “A heavily injured Sky Obscurer Beast!
“This Sky Obscurer Beast is said to have escaped from the Xiaomang Prefecture. It previously fought with the prefecture lord and sustained serious injuries. However, its vitality is extremely strong, allowing it to escape from the Xiaomang Prefecture and slip into the Yu Prefecture. The Yu Prefecture is one of the smaller prefectures and is ranked near the bottom among the several hundred prefectures of the Tianyuan Region. The Yu Prefecture does not have the strength to kill even a heavily injured Sky Obscurer Beast and thus reported this matter to the higher- ups.

“A gravely injured Sky Obscurer Beast?”
Zhou Yuan’s expression finally changed. Soon after he hesitantly asked, “But even a gravely injured Sky Obscurer Beast is not an existence that the Divine Dwelling stage can face, right?”
Yi Qiushui answered, “Do you see the seal there? It’s a black Divine Dwelling seal which means that this mission is within the capabilities of the Divine Dwelling stage.
“In the Tianyuan Region, missions are categorized into green, red and black tiers. The black seal naturally signifies that this mission is the highest tier among the Divine Dwelling category and will definitely be difficult.
“A mission like this would be a challenge even for several advanced Divine Dwelling stage experts.”
She stared at Zhou Yuan as she slowly said, “But if you do want to quickly obtain a Sky Obscurer Beast heart, this is likely the only way.”
Zhou Yuan faintly nodded in response. After a brief silence, a decisive look finally emerged on his face. “I’ll have to give it a try no matter how difficult it is.”
“Idiot, you can’t be planning to go alone, right?”
Yi Qiushui crossed her arms across her chest, pushing her already protruding bosom even higher as she softly chuckled and said, “Although you’re admittedly very strong, it’s not that I look down on you, but you can’t take it on alone.”
Zhou Yuan was taken aback for a moment before he said, “You mean I should find others to help me?”
Yi Qiushui nodded. “Zhou Yuan, you’re no longer the lone wolf who landed in the Xiaoxuan Prefecture but the master of the Wind Pavilion!
“Although our Wind Pavilion is not as strong as the other pavilions, we are still capable of gathering a dozen advanced Divine Dwelling stage experts. Of course, having too many team members will only make things more troublesome, so what you need is an elite force.”
She retrieved a sheet of paper on which several graceful words could be seen. It was evidently written by her earlier and contained a number of names.
“I know that you’re usually busy with your cultivation and have no time for the affairs of the Wind Pavilion, so you likely don’t know our members. Hence, I already selected a team for you.
“Including senior sister Ye, the team consists of seven members who are the strongest among the Divine Dwelling stage experts of our Wind Pavilion. Bringing them along will make your life much easier. I’ve already sent someone to inform them, and they should soon arrive.”
She turned her head to the side, her long hair hanging by her cheek as she smiled. “Although it's a private matter and infringing upon everyone’s cultivation time is a little inappropriate, no one will object given your current influence in the Wind Pavilion.
“Of course, if our great pavilion master can reward everyone with a few high-grade Mother Wind Runes if the mission is a success, I’m sure everyone will be very happy.”
Zhou Yuan’s eyes nearly popped from their sockets as he gazed at the confidently smiling Yi Qiushui.
Yi Qiushui blushed slightly under his gaze. She placed her hands on her face as she mumbled, “Why are you looking at me like that?”
Zhou Yuan sighed and said, “Qiushui, it’s really my fortune to have met you when I arrived in the Tianyuan Region.”
Zhou Yuan had finally experienced what it was like to have an excellent internal affairs manager. All he had done was notify her of his wish, and Yi Qiushui had prepared everything for him. The only thing left was for him to set off with his team.
It was an unbelievable, refreshing feeling of ease.
He was a little unable to imagine what he would do if the Wind Pavilion did not have Yi Qiushui. If he had to handle all the affairs of the pavilion, he would probably explode on the spot.
He was already completely inseparable from Yi Qiushui.
If Yaoyao had not already filled my heart, I may...cough cough. Never mind, can’t have such dangerous thoughts. It may really lead to my death.
As Yaoyao’s fairy-like face flashed across his mind, a pair of absent-minded, calm-lake-like eyes seemed to see right into his heart. He shivered uncontrollably as he chanted “Yaoyao was the most beautiful” a thousand times.

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment. The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized
