Chapter 2140: Use Force?

Su Mo did not have to wait for long. 15 minutes later, footsteps sounds were heard outside the room.

The door of the Ice Room opened and the beautiful lady and an elder walked in.

The elder was aged and skinny. He put on a navy blue robe, and his gaze was firm. He did not look friendly.

It was apparent that the elder was not from the Dark Ice Tribe and he was from the human race. His cultivation level was at Rank 1 Empty God Realm, which was similar to the beautiful lady’s.

“Elder Miao, he is the one. I will have to trouble you!”

The beautiful lady cupped her fist at the elder, and she turned to Su Mo and said, “Elder Miao will check on you. If you are not a spy, we will let you go!”

“Go ahead!” Su Mo stood up and shrugged nonchalantly.

The beautiful lady nodded to signal to the elder to proceed.

The beautiful lady could tell that Su Mo was not a spy. He would not have cooperated with them if he was one.

However, since they had found Su Mo at the Stone Mine, they had to go through the procedure.

After all, Silver Ice City and Mo Kong City had been fighting for the past few years. They had to guard against the enemies.

Elder Miao nodded and took two steps forward toward Su Mo.

“Look me in the eyes!” Elder Miao said. His eyes were like a galaxy and they churned speedily.

Su Mo followed the instruction and looked at his eyes. He noticed that there was a strange power in Elder Miao’s eyes guiding him and causing him to be drowsy.

However, Su Mo had strong mental strength. Even when his Spiritual Soul had been injured and his mental strength had weakened, no one could control him.

Su Mo did not show it. He went along with Elder Miao and his gaze went blank. He seemed to be in a daze.

“Good!”

Elder Miao smiled when he saw it. He then asked, “Where did you come from?”

“I come from the Dark Region!” Su Mo replied.

“Dark Region? Is he a martial artist from the underground universe?” When the beautiful lady heard Su Mo’s reply, she was shocked.

Although many martial artists in God’s Path Nine Mountains came from the universe, they were the minority compared to those who were born in God’s Path.

At least, no one in Silver Ice City came from the universe.

“What he has said should be true. He is under my Soul Inducing Technique and we can trust his words!” Elder Miao nodded. The youth was only a Great Completion Realm Martial Sage and he should not be able to resist his Soul Inducing Technique.

“I thought that the martial artists from the universe could only come to God’s Path after they have reached the Empty God Realm. How did he manage to come here?” The beautiful lady looked puzzled.

“Bing Yan, this guy should be a genius. His strength is comparable to a Rank 1 Empty God’s, which explains why he is able to come to God’s Path!” Elder Miao replied with a smile.

“Genius?”

The beautiful lady laughed when she heard what Elder Miao had said. She then shook her head and said, “Elder Miao, how can you call him a genius when he cannot even resist your Soul Inducing Technique?”

Bing Yan did not agree with Elder Miao. Elder Miao’s Soul Inducing Technique was not very powerful and all the Rank 1 Empty Gods were able to resist it.

However, the youth could not even resist it. He was too weak.

The youth might be powerful in other aspects, but his Spiritual Soul was weak.

“He may possess some special means!”

Elder Miao waved his hand and he had no intention to dwell on it. He continued to question Su Mo, “Why did you go to the Stone Mine?”

“I happened to pass by it and decided to treat my injuries there!” Su Mo replied.

“Which force do you belong to? What is your motive in coming to Silver Ice City?” Elder Miao continued.

“I don’t belong to any force, and I had no idea this was Silver Ice City. I just happened to pass by this place!” Su Mo replied. He was very cooperative.

When Elder Miao heard Su Mo’s reply, he looked at Bing Yan and said, “He is not a spy from Mo Kong City. There is no need to question him any further!”

Since they had found out what they needed to know from Su Mo, Elder Miao felt that there was no point carrying on with the interrogation. He had no intention of asking Su Mo any personal questions in front of Bing Yan.

“Alright!” Bing Yan nodded.

“Since he does not belong to any of the forces, we can recruit him!” Elder Miao said.

The strange look in his eyes dispersed and he withdrew the Soul Inducing Technique.

Elder Miao was not from Dark Ice Tribe. He had been recruited by the Dark Ice Tribe to be their Foreign Elder.

“I will get him to stay. Thanks for your help, Elder Miao!” Bing Yan smiled and cupped her fist at Elder Miao.

After a while, Su Mo’s eyes started to glow and he regained consciousness.

“What has happened?” Su Mo asked in amazement as he looked at Elder Miao and Bing Yan. He pretended not to know what had taken place earlier.

However, he was smirking within himself. The two of them were silly to think that they could find out about him through a simple trick.

Su Mo vividly heard their conversation and he knew what they would be doing next.

“Nothing. We have verified that you are not a spy!” Bing Yan smiled. She looked charming.

“Oh?” Su Mo looked baffled, as though he had no idea what had happened!

“What is your name? Are you willing to join Dark Ice Mansion?” Bing Yan smiled and asked Su Mo sincerely. She no longer looked cold.

“My name is Su Mo. What benefits will I get if I join Dark Ice Mansion?” Su Mo asked.

“You will get a lot of benefits. First of all, you will be protected in the Second Mountain. Secondly, you can enjoy the resources that we have here!” Bing Yan said with a smile. Su Mo was a good candidate to recruit as he did not belong to any of the forces.

God’s Path Nine Mountains were not safe. Even the situation at the Second Mountain was chaotic and there were fights in all the cities.

If not for the Nether Tribe that was controlling the Second Mountain, the Second Mountain would have been in turmoil.

Thus, all the cities were recruiting geniuses for their own forces.

“Oh? What kind of resources can you give me?” Su Mo asked with a smile. That was what he wanted. If Dark Ice Mansion was able to give him the resources that he needed, he would not miss out on the opportunity to join them.

“Spiritual Crystals and Dawn Stones!” Bing Yan replied with a serious look. She believed that Su Mo would not want to miss out on the opportunity. Dawn Stones were precious and all the high-ranking martial artists wanted to lay their hands on them.

“What kind of Dawn Stones do you have?” Su Mo asked. There were many types of Dawn Stones. There were the Water Dawn Stones, Fire Dawn Stones, Lightning Dawn Stones, and many others. What Su Mo needed was the Chaotic Dawn Stone.

Su Mo had been thinking of ways to repair his Sage Pill, but it seemed that only the Chaotic Dawn Stone could do the job.

If the Dawn Stone was purer than his Chaotic Energy, there might be a great possibility for his Sage Pill to recover.

“We have all types of Dawn Stones. As long as you are willing to join us, we will give you two Dawn Stones every year!” Bing Yan said generously.

“Do you have the Chaotic Dawn Stones? If you have, I will join you. If not, we can forget about it!” Su Mo said upfront.

“Chaotic Dawn Stone?” Bing Yan and Elder Miao turned pale when they heard what Su Mo had said. They had never expected Su Mo to ask for the Chaotic Dawn Stones.

“Oh? You don’t have them? In that case, we can forget about it!” Su Mo shook his head and said when he saw their expressions.

“Other than the Chaotic Dawn Stones, we have other types of Dawn Stones. We can give those to you!” Bing Yan said, her face dark.

“In that case, I shall make a move!”

Su Mo cupped his fist at the two of them as he felt that there was no point continuing with the conversation. He walked past the two of them to get out of the Ice Room.

Bing Yan and Elder Miao looked unhappy. Su Mo was being too arrogant!

The two of them were Empty Gods and they had invited a Martial Sage to join them. However, he had turned down their offer!

It was fine that he had turned them down, but Su Mo’s behavior showed that he did not have any regard for Dark Ice Mansion.

“Stop where you are!”

Bing Yan shouted when she saw Su Mo walking out of the Ice Room. A gust of cold wind swept past and Bing Yan stood in front of Su Mo to block his way.

“What are you trying to do? Are you trying to use force on me after you failed to recruit me?”

Su Mo sneered as he looked at Bing Yan. He had used his spiritual senses to check on the Ice Mansion earlier and he had not found any mighty top powers around.

There were only two streams of strong aura deep within the mansion and they should have been from two Rank 2 Empty Gods.

In conclusion, Dark Ice Mansion was not powerful. Although Su Mo was seriously injured, he was not afraid of them.

“Do you know that if you don’t join us, you will become the enemy of not only Dark Ice Mansion, but the entire Silver Ice City? Do you believe that I will kill you?” Bing Yan’s face and eyes turned cold.
