Chapter 2132: The Last Times
Translator: Larbre Studio Editor: Larbre Studio
Su Mo returned to the Star GuZhou and returned to the Firmament Palace.
Subsequently, his days were plain. On the one hand, he had been waiting for news from the Dragon Tribe, on the other hand, he was occasionally giving instructions to train his disciples.
Firmament Sect’s power was expanding. It had gathered more resources.
Su Mo had left all these matters in the good hands of Li Feng, Long Teng and the rest.
There was no doubt as to the ability of Long Teng and Li Feng. The mere masters from the Empty God Realm were no match for the duo.
During this period, when Xu Wushen and Jiang Shenye visited the Firmament Palace. Su Mo welcomed them.
What amazed Su Mo was that Jiang Shenye had travelled all the way to Empty God Realm. This visit to the Firmament Palace, his intention was to bid farewell to Su Mo and Qing Ya. He would be accompanying Xu Wushen to journey on the God’s Path.
Su Mo showed his generous hospitality towards the pair. They stayed at the Firmament Palace for quite a few hours before their departure. Qing Ya saw him off.
Before he took his leave, Xu Wushen requested the Firmament Palace to be welcome towards Triple Deities Sect and not to make things unbearable for him.
Naturally, Su Mo agreed to his plea. He had no intention to attack Triple Deities Sect.
Days and weeks passed. Shortly, Yi Xiaoxiao returned from the Dragon Tribe. She had brought good news.
Long Xun had had a successful reconciliation with the True Demon Tribe .
In the future, True Demon Tribe would befriend the Dragon Tribe and Su Mo, including the Firmament Sect. They agreed to steer clear of one another’s business.
Su Mo had no information of the negotiation process. However he was elated at the reconciliatory outcome. That had set his mind at ease.
After listening to Yi Xiaoxiao, it seemed that Long Xun would not leave the Infinite Region within a short period. His powerful deterrence would be an added advantage to the Firmament Palace.
Long Teng would play the connecting role between the Firmament Sect and the Dragon Tribe.
After battling for several months, Li Feng, Long Teng and their followers finally returned to the Firmament Palace.
Their successful battles, leveraging Su Mo’s powerful authority, had conquered hundreds of forces on the star.
Their next move would be to sow the seeds from the Firmament Palace on the star.
This matter would be handled by Palace Master Emperor Shi, so Su Mo would have one thing less to worry about.
As his imminent departure from the Infinite Region drew near, Su Mo wasted no time to help many assimilate Fighting Spirits reinforce their powers.
These folks included several palace masters, his clan, relatives, families and friends. They also included members from the Dark Shadow Tribe, Imperial Ancestor Court’s King, Princesses, Princes, and the disciples from the Shenwu Academy.
After all, Su Mo’s stay might be his last. He was not sure if he would return or when would that be. Thus he worked diligently to enhance the talents and the prowess of the people he cared about.

Jiang Feng Ran, Zhan Luan, Wenren Tiandu and their team, all had Quintuplet Fighting Souls, just as An Jian did. As for the others, they would take on varying number of Fighting Souls due to their varying levels of cultivation. Some of them had Quadruplet Fighting Souls while others had Triplet Fighting Souls.
As for the duo An Shang and An Yuan from the Dark Shadow Tribe, Su Mo was careful not to let them grow too powerful. He only helped to assimilate one type of Fighting Souls.
This day within the Firmament Palace, many top leaders, with the exception of Xi’er and Si Kongyan, all gathered within a court.
Su Mo sat alone at the master’s seat. He watched everyone with parting sorrow.
The atmosphere was solemn and utterly quiet. Everyone knew that Su Mo was leaving.
“Mo-er, I support your decision to go to the God’s Path. Do bring Xi’er back home!” Su Hong was the first to break the silence. He was made aware of what happened to Xi’er.
“Please go forth with no worry. As long as I am around, the Firmament Palace will be safe. I will only embark on my journey to God’s Path when the Firmament Palace is able to groom a few more Empty Gods!” Long Teng made a committed statement.
“Su Mo, I shall catch up with you in the near future. Once the situation in the Ancientspirit Galaxy stabilises, I shall leave for the God’s Path!” Li Feng declared with resolute.
“Su Mo, you must bring Xi’er back!” Emperor Shi was worried.
“Su Mo, I shall obey your order to guard the Firmament Palace for the next ten years. I shall go on the God’s Path after a decade!” An Jian gave his word. Previously, Su Mo had told him that if he could protect the Firmament Palace for a decade, he would erase the Spiritual Imprint in his knowledge consciousness.
Therefore, he would fulfil his promise by staying guard at the Firmament Palace for a decade.
Ten years was not a long time and Su Mo’s request was reasonable.
Obviously, he knew that the Firmament Palace after ten years would be horrific and would not need his protection anymore.
“…”
“…”
“…”
Every master spoke one after another. Su Mo listened without uttering a word.
It was after a long while before the nosies quietened down. Everyone was gazing at Su Mo.
“Everyone!”
Su Mo started and scanned the crowd. He said:”I shall entrust the Firmament Palace to your care. On my way to the God’s Path, I will make a pitstop at the Dark Region to take care of the last hidden danger. I hope we shall all meet again on the God’s Path!”
“Su Mo, we will not disappoint you!”
“After a decade, it shall be the Firmament Palace’s era in the four galaxies!”
“Please do not worry about us, we will meet at the God’s Path!”
“…!”
Everyone spoke at the same time. The soundwaves shook the court. Everyone felt confident.
“Good, I shall leave tomorrow morning. Please, you do not need to send me off!” Su Mo nodded and he was filled with joy.

The present Firmament Palace, though it did not appear very powerful, it was capable to protect itself despite its not-so-strong foundation..
Su Mo continued to chat with the crowd and left a few instructions. Soon, he dismissed everyone and in the end he was left alone in the court.
Su Mo’s spiritual senses engulfed the entire Wild Mountain Range. He saw many hardworking disciples and their advanced cultivations. He felt elated.
He had brought these warriors from the Firmament Sect’s World. He was pleased to see their development.
If it were not because of Xi’er, if it were not because of Qian Xunyue, if it were not because of Hong Qingxuan, he might not have left the Firmament Palace. He could have stayed there permanently.
However, life had no assumptions. He had to fulfil his goals to the best of his ability.
“I wonder where those three demons are?” Su Mo could not help thinking about the three brothers Qin Busi.
Since their last meeting, he had yet to meet them nor heard any news about them.
Perhaps the three demons were dead, or perhaps they had already left the Infinite Region.
After a long time, dusk fell on the Wild Mountain Range. Su Mo left the court and headed to his own living quarters.
Su Mo was about to enter the court when he was taken by surprise.
“Ah!”
Su Mo sighed as he pushed open the palace’s door and walked into the court.
He saw a white, graceful shadow inside the court. The shadow had beautiful hair cascading like a waterfall. Its back faced the main door and it was tough for people to see its face clearly.
However, judging from the slim body and mesmerising shadow, it was not hard to see an alluring beauty.
“Instructor Mu Li, what brings you here?” Su Mo wore a surprised look on his face.
It had been a while since he’d last seen Instructor Mu Li. According to Grand Master Huoyuan, Instructor Mu Li had been in retreat.
Upon hearing Su Mo, Instructor Mu Li turned around slowly. Her porcelain face was full of determination.
“You… are leaving tomorrow?” Instructor Mu Li asked gently, biting her scarlet lips.
“Yes!” Su Mo nodded.
“When will you be back?” Instructor Mu Li asked again.
“I am not sure. Maybe a decade, perhaps a century, or maybe I will not return!” Su Mo shook his head gently. His expression was complicated. If he was able to, he would definitely return.
However, the God’s Path was not a safe place. Despite his strong prowess, he would have his risks in such a predatory world.
Instructor Mu Li was quiet after hearing Su Mo. She stood rooted to the ground.
“Instructor Mu Li…” Su Mo attempted to speak after seeing Instructior Mu Li in such a state. She interjected.
“Su Mo, I have never developed any feelings for anyone in all of my life. It’s only you that I find unforgettable!” Instructor Mu Li’s gaze never left Su Mo. Her eyes were like shining gems, bright and pure.
When Su Mo heard that, he silently sighed. He was no fool and had naturally known her feelings for him, However he would not accept her love just because she was beautiful.
After all, he was unable to commit to her.
Even if he had accepted her, from now on, they would be far apart, which would add to each other’s grief.
“Instructor Mu Li, I have three loved ones. However, their lives have been tragedies!” Su Mo sighed. He did not wish for Instructor Mu Li to follow in Qingxuan’s footsteps.
Of course, no one knew Xi’er’s exact situation. It did not look optimistic.
“I don’t care!” Instructor Mu Li shook her head gently, her shining eyes never left Su Mo. Su Mo had a surge of mixed feelings.
At this time, Instructor Mu Li lifted her feet and moved elegantly towards Su Mo.
Both of them stood closely, their clothes almost touched each other, and both could smell each other’s scent.
Immediately, Instructor Mu Li blushed, and she lay her head on Su Mo’s chest slowly and gently.
Su Mo was shocked. The usually cool and composed Instructor Mu Li was indeed outrageous.
“Su Mo, once we part tomorrow, we may never meet again!” Instructor Mu Li said forlornly.
“I may never fall in love with anyone in the future, I do not wish to live in regret.”
Instructor Mu Li’s voice was filled with struggle and sadness. She did not want to leave any regret in her life.
Su Mo was silent and he felt many complex emotions. Needless to say, Instructor Mu Li was a nice lady, pure and kind.
He wanted to reject her offer, however, he was concerned that he might hurt her.
At the same instant, there was a strange transformation. Su Mo could sense that Mu Li’s mind power had engulfed him.
He did not resist. In the next instant there was a change of spatial arrangements, and the pair appeared in a small courtyard.
It was a small space, with a radius of about a thousand miles. There were mountains and rivers, the scenery was serene and peaceful.
This house was not too huge, it was like a farmer’s house, however it was extremely neat and tidy.
“Su Mo, make my wish come true!” Mu Li raised her head slightly, her red cheeks blushing, her gentle eyes fixated on Su Mo.
Su Mo was reticent and he struggled hard. He faced a major decision between being a beast and being human.
“What now? Do you need me to take the initiative?” Mu Li’s raised her voice slightly. Her voice was resentful.
Phew!
Su Mo took a deep breath. He bent down and carried Mu Li into the room.
He had no choice, perhaps he was wrong, perhaps he had betrayed Xi’er. He would let his heart take the lead now.
“Thank you!”
Mu Li uttered softly in Su Mo’s arms as her tears fell gently.

Important notes: 1, I'm not a native speaker, so be prepared for occassional typos, iffy grammar and maybe awkward sentences. The spell check was running, when I wrote the chapters, but it works in strange ways... If you point out mistakes, I will try to correct them 2, Scheduling will be two chapters a week, posted Saturdays before noon (CET). Depending on how much new chapters I can write consistently there will be probably more but as long as I have leftover chapters, the two per week will be posted no matter what. Chapters will be around 1500-2500 words as MS Word counts it. 3, I did not and will not post this novel on another site, if you find it somewhere else, please inform me 4, The Main Character's progression is slow, there will be no Levels, Skills, Abilities, Feats, Perks and Cheat Powers raining down on him 5, I've put Comedy as a genre because of my writing style not because the novel is a comedy per se. On the other hand, Traumatising Content is there because there is a lot of speciesism - those Elves are not nice people. 6, I put a lot of pop-cultural references into the chapters, try to find them! Enjoy!
