Chapter 2032: Wan Shengxiang’s Plan
The inside of the Sacred Mountain was completely empty and silent.
Su Mo did not delay and immediately entered another void.
This void was the Time Ultimacy Void.
A long river flowed in the void, made of starry light.
Two other figures were seated in the long river, comprehending the Time Ultimacy.
One of the two was a burly man, a Sky Tyrant Tribe member. The other person was an elder who looked like he was from a demonic tribe.
“What is this?”
Su Mo starred at the misty long river and wondered. As he walked beside the misty long river, he carefully tried to sense it.
He could sense a strong and dense Time Ultimacy force in the misty long river.
That was because time seemed to speed up and slow down without warning. Sometimes, time would seem to stop and at other times, a blink of an eye was half an hour in duration.
This strange phenomenon surprised Su Mo.
“Terrifying!”
Su Mo’s eyes glittered as he marveled at the Time Ultimacy. He felt that the Time Ultimacy was even more mysterious and terrifying than the Space Ultimacy.
If he mastered Time Ultimacy, he could control the flow of time.
As expected of the Sky Tyrant Tribe, the sixth ranked tribe on the Ten Thousand Archean Tribes Board, it was powerful and mysterious.
Shoosh!
With a step, Su Mo entered the misty light river and his whole body was instantly covered in light.
Su Mo did not know what the misty light rays were but he guessed that they was made of time.
He did not intend to deeply comprehend the Time Ultimacy. Instead, he only wanted an introduction to it so that he could comprehend it by himself in the future.
Shutting his eyes, Su Mo allowed his spiritual Senses to flow out and envelope the misty light.

As he felt the Time Ultimacy around him, Su Mo seemed to enter a dream realm, a trance in time.
This feeling made him feel like he no longer existed. However, he could clearly feel the flow of time. It was a strange and dark feeling, as if time had rules for itself, controlling the surroundings in a strict manner.
However, the Time Ultimacy comprehension exceeded Su Mo’s expectations. It was very hard to grasp it and Su Mo could not understand the rules of time in the short run.
Time passed by quickly and in the blink of an eye, a month had passed.
Su Mo’s eyebrows raised slightly as his eyes were shut. After more than a month of comprehension, he finally had a small sense of time.
However, this small sense was far too tiny.
…
A light flashed inside one of the voids of the mountain as two young men flew out.
Among these two young was Wan Shengxiang.
The other young man wasn’t a Sky Tyrant Tribe member. He had a long and straight skinny body as a black long robe fell down his figure. His hair draped down his head and touched his calves.
The young man’s eyes were sharp and appeared terrifying.
“Is he really that strong?”
The skinny young man stared at Wan Shengxiang and asked with a shocked face. He had been comprehending his Ultimacy but Wan Shengxiang had suddenly told him that a godly talent had appeared in the Wind-thunder Sect who defeated An Jian while he was a Middle Stage Martial Sage.
“Brother Fan, how could I lie to you? This man’s name is Su Mo and his combat strength is frightening. How else could my sect obtain victory in the contest?” Wan Shengxiang confirmed in a serious face. Su Mo’s fame had not spread yet but he would be infamous soon.
“Interesting. If there really is such a man, I need to spar with him!” The skinny young man’s eyes flashed as he grinned.

Although he didn’t believe Wan Shengxiang’s words fully, Wan Shengxiang wouldn’t be bluffing.
It was indeed terrifying for a Middle Stage Martial Sage to defeat An Jian. Gongcheng Taihao in the past didn’t even have the strength of the ranked eighteenth on the King Sage Board when he was a Middle Stage Martial Sage.
“Brother Fan, please teach Su Mo a lesson!” Wan Shengxiang’s eyes flashed coldly as he said.
He trusted the young man. The young man was called Fan Ye, a top godly talent of one of the superpowers under the Sky Tyrant Tribe. He was a King Sage who was ranked thirteenth on the King Sage Board.
Wan Shengxiang believed that with Fan Ye’s strength, defeating Su Mo wouldn’t be a problem.
“Oh, you have a grudge with him?” Fan Ye asked.
“I wouldn’t consider it a grudge. The man is too arrogant and he does not have good intentions in joining my sect!” Wan Shengxiang sighed.
“I can teach him a lesson depending on your actions!” Fan Ye laughed lightly.
Wan Shengxiang fell silent for a while before he smiled, “I heard that Senior Fan is interested in Senior Lin Man. If you help me, I will match you guys up!”
“He he! Good. No matter what today, I will peel off the thick layer of skin on Su Mo!” Fan Ye grinned brightly as he thought of Lin Man from the Wind-thunder Sect. he would not turn down such an offer.
“Which void is he in?” Fan Ye asked.
“The Space Ultimacy void!” Wan Shengxiang said.
“He actually wants to comprehend Space Ultimacy?” Fan Ye laughed lightly as his body flashed and he flew into the Space Ultimacy void.
Wan Shengxiang hurriedly followed after him.
However, Wan Shengxiang and Fan Ye were disappointed as they did not see Su Mo in the Space Ultimacy void.
Very quickly, the two came out again and arrived back in the wide area of the mountain.
“Strange! He clearly entered the Space Ultimacy void!” Wan Shengxiang’s face darkened. He had personally seen Su Mo enter the Space Ultimacy Void, why was he gone already? Could he have left earlier?
“Brother Wan, since he has left, I can’t help you anymore!” Fan Ye sighed. Although he said that, he was disappointed inwardly.
Firstly, because he failed to see the proclaimed top talent. Secondly, because Wan Shengxiang would not help him with Lin Man.
Wan Shengxiang fell silent as he surveyed his surroundings. After which, his gaze fell on the Devouring Ultimacy void and the Time Ultimacy Void.
He had been taking notice of Su Mo and realized that Su Mo had stared at the two voids for a long time previously.
“Senior Fan, if I didn’t guess wrongly, Su Mo could be in the Devouring Ultimacy or the Time Ultimacy void!” Wan Shengxian uttered in a low voice.
“No one is allowed to enter the Devouring Ultimacy void without the permission of Gongcheng Taihao. Su Mo must have entered the Time Ultimacy void!” Fan Ye said.
“He is greedy indeed. Not only does he want to comprehend the Space Ultimacy, he also wants to comprehend the Time Ultimacy!” Wan Shengxiang scoffed.
The Space Ultimacy and Time Ultimacy were both deep and mysterious. Many people would not even try to comprehend them. However, Su Mo wanted both.
In Wan Shengxiang’s opinion, Su Mo was as greedy as a pig.
“He is greedy indeed. Let’s head in to see!” Fan Ye nodded his head before his body flashed and he flew into the Time Ultimacy void. Wan Shengxiang followed closely after him.

The Core And The Wardens of Eternity
What is the Core, they asked me... It's the light that pushes the darkness away, a bastion of justice, a safe keeper of life. It grooms love and tolerance, embraces science, fights ignorance, sentences it to die a slow and tragic death. The Core... it's something that can't be destroyed for destroying it is to terminate the time and space itself. When the stuck-in-a-dark-age world of Zanria goes offline, the Core sends one of its experienced agents to find out what is going on and to try to reestablish a mysteriously severed connection. However, all his training and experience might come way short as the world sinks in war and chaos with different races and clans fighting for the Star of Bardan, the ward rumored to possess enough supernatural power to create and destroy entire worlds. *** I just changed the name of the series, from 'the Nexus' to 'the Core'. Somehow it just sounds more right to me. This is the first story, and it has a medieval fantasy setting. But, eventually, this is going to turn into Isekai series with elements of LitRPG. So, my future books might include worlds with advanced technologies that might be more in SciFi, including Steampunk, genre. The first book might start slow, but after a few chapters, it should all be properly set up, and by then you should get the feel of how it will all flow. Also, I plan to introduce different story threats that should spread out and criss-cross in the future. Hopefully, I will not complicate it too much, and that it will all read good. I am planning to continue to add chapters to the main storyline here, but I'm also starting a new story threat in the Core series called The Recordings of Raan. There is also a side story The Memoires of Eisen that's exclusive on Patreon for those who would like to support me.

The Paths of Magick
Credits: Story by Xcaliburnt. Cover Art by @Bervolart. Magick, the power to bend the laws of reality. All because of a mystical substance known as mana. Mages follow the Paths to achieve power, for there is no more addictive chase. Each Path winds and twists, forcing mages through the flames of adversity and challenge. Though the operative word is "path", the reality is far less straightforward. Instead of a road, Paths are like the branches of world trees, erupting into the heavens, intertwining, and ending in sharp snaps. Only the strongest reach the sky. There are several Paths, and many Ways to walk them—variations of the same Path, and like the stars, they are endless. Magick is the sacred flame that scours the fat, rendering the truest self. Superfluous flesh melting away to show the skeleton of one's being. A chance for ascension—apotheosis. Though not every mage works to godhood, if they survive long enough, It is inescapable. Witness the lives of those that tread the knife's edge of self-destruction. Each one intertwined in their search for answers, revenge, and, most of all: power. These individuals have all lost something precious—irreplaceable—and In search of filling the void left behind, they have taken up the mantle of a mage. Per aspera ad astra. Ad mortem vel divinitatis. (Through adversity to the stars. To death or divinity.) There is no consistent release schedule except my consistent inconsistency. Besides, there’s like a thousand pages worth of content, how can—you already read it? Goddamn. Oh, and there is a very long hiatus between volumes as I intend to edit and rewrite a lot. What to Expect: This story is progression fantasy, so expect a healthy dose of training. It's also heavy on slice of life, and it isn't entirely overarching-plot-driven. Expect characters to live their lives, and not always be on some quest to save the world. There's a lot of magic theory and discussion about it in the story. So, if you don't like impromptu lessons on sorcerous theory by traveling monster slayers, this might not be for you. But if you do like it, rejoice! For there is a lot of it. This is also heavy on prose, purple as a bruised eye. I use outdated, uneccesarily collegiate-level terms and play around with the writing style just for the heck of it. I find it fun to wax and wane poetic, and that might grate on you—I don’t plan to change this aspect of the Paths much if at all. Onto the viewer discretion is advised parts: This is grim-dark/ grim-heart. Take the tags seriously. There will be combat scenes that are brutal and horrifying. Fights to the death tend to be. This is a tale about medieval mercenaries (quite literal killers for hire), man-eating monsters, and eldritch gods beyond the material plane. Beside that, there will be traumatic events that are best left unread. I do not detail certain acts I find heinous enough, instead leaving some parts unwritten but still alludded to if not outright stated; there is simply no graphic narration thereof. This is not for the faint of heart.
