Wan Shengxiang was the most powerful person in Wind-thunder Sect and he had been ranked number 18 on the King Sage Board. However, he had been injured by Su Mo, a Middle Realm Martial Sage, and that was a humiliation to him.

Wan Shengxiang shouted. He waved his sword and a dazzling Lightning Sword Qi moved toward Su Mo to attack him.

Su Mo was about to counter the blow from Wan Shengxiang, but when he saw that Wan Shengxiang was standing near the disciples from Wind-thunder Sect, he held back as he did not want to hurt any of the disciples. He simply moved away to avoid the blow.

“Do you think you can escape me?” Wan Shengxiang was furious. He shot up to the sky and wanted to strike at Su Mo.

“Stop!”

At that moment, Elder Jiang shouted and stood between Wan Shengxiang and Su Mo.

“Shengxiang, keep your cool. We shall settle the matter after we are back at the sect!” Elder Jiang said as he looked at Wan Shengxiang.

Elder Jiang did not want Su Mo and Wan Shengxiang to attack each other. Moreover, Su Mo seemed powerful. He might be able to help them turn the situation around.

“Elder Jiang, he sneak-attacked me! How can I let him off?” Wan Shengxiang shouted.

“When we are back at the sect, I will report the matter to our Sect Leader and let him deal with it!” Elder Jiang said.

When Wan Shengxiang heard what Elder Jiang had said, he was frustrated. However, he could not deal with Su Mo since Elder Jiang had stepped in.

He then thought, since the Sect Leader was his Teacher, it would make no difference if he handled the matter himself.

“Su Mo, you have sneak-attacked me and you will be severely punished by the sect!” Wan Shengxiang shouted and slowly landed on the ground.

He had deliberately pointed out that Su Mo had sneak-attacked him which had caused him to be injured, not because he was no match for Su Mo.

By saying that, it would put him in a better light.

“Su Mo, what do you want?” Elder Jiang asked Su Mo as he looked at him.

“To fight him!”

Su Mo smiled and ignored Wan Shengxiang’s threat. Having said that, he looked at Tong Yun and asked, “You have mentioned that no one from Wind-thunder Sect is matched for you. Do you dare to take me on?”

When Tong Yun heard what Su Mo had said, he sniggered and said, “You are quite good. Your strength has surpassed that of an End Realm Martial Sage and you are almost on par with a King Sage. However, you are not fit to take me on!”

“This is funny. Did you not say that no one in Wind-thunder Sect is a match for you? Why do you not dare to take me on?”

Su Mo sniggered and continued, saying, “Wan Shengxiang is useless. If you can defeat me, can then be considered powerful!”

Su Mo smiled when he heard that Tong Yun had agreed to take him on. He then asked, “If I win, your fight with Wan Shengxiang will not be counted. Do you agree to that?”

“Sure!” Tong Yun immediately agreed as he believed that he would not lose to Su Mo.

“Hoho! Elder, are Tong Yun’s words valid?” Su Mo asked with a smile as he looked at Elder Tong Yu.

He had to get the leader’s agreement lest they took back their words if he won.

“Of course. I can’t wait to see where you get your confidence from!” Elder Tong Yu said with a nod.

“Great!” Su Mo was elated when he heard it.

The disciples from Wind-thunder Sect were shocked that Su Mo wanted to take Tong Yun on.

They were looking forward to seeing Su Mo’s power since he had behaved so arrogantly.

Elder Jiang looked grim. He wanted to see Su Mo’s power as well.

Light flashed across Su Mo’s hand and a purplish-gold sword appeared. Su Mo smiled at Tong Yun and said, “If you can take one blow from me and remain unscathed, I will accept that you have won!”
