Chapter 1867: Totally No Intentions Of Paying Up
The auction had ended and Su Mo strode out confidently of his room and headed for the auction stage below him.
All heads turned in his direction, everyone wanting to see his appearance.
The Grand Priest and the few experts of the Sorcerer Tribe also walked out of the palace, arriving in front of the Fourth Priest. The Grand Priest and the Fourth Priest were just prepared to deliver the Sacred Green Ring personally to Su Mo but stopped short in their tracks as they saw Su Mo walking towards them.
Very soon, Su Mo walked out of the area of the rooms and appeared at the exit. Breaths were held as he took a few dramatics steps down the stairs.
As he walked, Su Mo thought to himself about whether he would act on the spot or wait a while more.
If he acted in the auction grounds, there were many martial artists there who would die pitifully from shockwaves of the battle that was going to ensue.
It would be better for him to get out first before he attacked. As long as he didn’t pay up the sum to the auction hall, the Grand Priest would not let him go.
Woosh woosh woosh!!
Everyone’s eyes instantly fell upon Su Mo and the people started to survey him.
Upon seeing that Su Mo was only a Rank 8 Martial Honorable, numerous eyes brightened as hearts started to beat faster in eagerness.
With such wealth, anyone who killed the man would not have to worry about Spiritual Crystals for a few hundred years.
Su Mo maintained a smile under the many gazes on him as he walked towards the auction stage.
“Fourth Priest, where is my Sacred Green Ring?” Su Mo’s eyes shifted from the Grand Priest onto the Fourth Priest as he asked.
Since he was going to act very soon, he would obtain the Sacred Ring first. Although the Sacred Ring wasn’t very useful for him, its value was very high.
Furthermore, if the Sacred Ring could be the backbone of the Firmament Palace, it would be the best case scenario for him.

Many superpowers had internal sects that were located in small worlds.
“Here!” The Fourth Priest nodded his head as he lifted his hand and allowed the Sacred Green Ring to fly towards Su Mo.
Su Mo sneered before he caught the Sacred Green Ring and took it with him.
“Hehe, young man, the auction has ended. We will calculate the total sum of the items that you have obtained before you can pay up!”
The Grand Priest smiled widely. He wasn’t scared at all as the young man in front of him did not seem to want to escape, nor play any tricks with him.
“Mm!” Su Mo lightly nodded his head.
“You bid for a total of 120 items and the total sum of Spiritual Crystals that you have to pay is 313,000,000 Upper Spiritual Crystals. Is that correct?” The Grand Priest confirmed.
Psst psst psst!!
Numerous cold breaths were sucked in upon hearing the Grand Priest’s words. 300,000,000 Upper Spiritual Crystals was a shocking sum.
Fei Tianyu and Xuan Yuanlong both walked out as their eyes filled with a mild surprise.
Many Initial Stage Martial Sage were also taken aback as a thin flash of light passed through their eyes.
“Mm, that is right!” Su Mo nodded his head in confirmation. He had not bothered to count and calculate his total expenses.
With that, the Grand Priest and the Fourth Priest stared at Su Mo with narrowed eyes, waiting for him to hand over the sum.
Yet, Su Mo only laughed lightly as a mocking expression crossed his eyes and he said, “How about this? I will owe you the Spiritual Crystals first and write a certificate of debt to you.”
Tsk~~~
The moment Su Mo finished speaking, a dead silence filled the crowd as eyes widened in shock and everyone stared blankly at Su Mo.
A certificate of debt?
What…. What nonsense was that? Who would write a certificate of debt?
Souls seemed to escape bodies in the auction house as everyone was momentarily stunned.

A few moments later, everyone regained their senses as strange looks crossed their faces as though they had just witnessed an unimaginable sight.
My god! The man was trying to short-change the Sorcerer Tribe!
“Young lad, are you trying to short-change us?” The Grand Priest’s face instantly fell as his eyes stared at Su Mo like a venomous snake glaring at its prey.
The scenario that he was worried about had actually happened. Yet, he hadn’t expected the stern-looking young man to act so outrageously.
Swoosh!
The Fourth Priest’s body flashed and he immediately appeared behind Su Mo. The other experts of the Sorcerer Tribe also moved straightaway and surrounded Su Mo.
Eyes quivered with anger and death glares were shot at Su Mo. The young man was insane! He owed a sum of 300,000,000 Upper Spiritual Crystals but tried to short-change the organizers in public.
“Short-change?” Su Mo scoffed before he shook his head, “Of course I am not trying to short-change you!”
Upon hearing that, a collective sigh of relief could be heard from the crowd. So it wasn’t that he was trying to short-change the Sorcerer Tribe. Could his Spiritual Crystals not be enough?
The Grand Priest relaxed, it was fine as long as the man wasn’t trying to short-change them. If he didn’t have enough Spiritual Crystals, he could exchange the weapons and treasures that he had with him.
However, Su Mo had not finished speaking and he continued, “I had totally no intention of paying up at all!”
Ah!
In an instant, blank looks wiped across faces as many people gaped in shock.
No intention of paying?
He was trying to rob the Sorcerer Tribe by not paying up!
However, what courage did that man have to become enemies with the Sorcerer Tribe. Did that man think he was the godly genius Su Mo?
“You’re courting your own death!” The Grand Priest regained his senses quickly and instantly shouted in rage. By becoming enemies with the Sorcerer Tribe and trying to rob them, the man was trying to die.
Swoosh!
Just as the Grand Priest was about to attack, Su Mo stomped down hard and shot into the air towards the sky.
“He is trying to escape!”
“With the array present, he won’t be able to!”
“That man is really daring!”
Many screams and shouts erupted through the air as the people on the grounds admired Su Mo’s courage. However, they were not happy with Su Mo’s actions.
“Think you can escape?” A cold sinister glare crossed the Grand Priest’s eyes upon seeing Su Mo’s actions and he inwardly celebrated his foresight in taking precautions and enhancing the strength of the array.
Su Mo flew at an incredibly fast speed and instantly closed down on the array that surrounded the yard.
“Hm? The array has strengthened?” Su Mo’s eyes narrowed. He could tell at a glance that the array was a few times stronger than it was before
However, despite the strengthening of the array, Su Mo could not be stopped.
Swoosh!
Su Mo casually tossed his fingers and bright, glaze-colored light dazzled the sky as the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda spiraled towards the array.
Woosh Vroom~~
Seven-colored rays of light instantly shot off the tip of the pagoda, blinding all eyes that stared at it. Brilliant light instantly shone on the layer of array above him.
Suddenly, the strong array melted apart like powdered snow and turned into a sky full of white haze as it quickly fell apart under the glare of the glaze light.
Boom!
Before the array had fully disintegrated, Su Mo’s body shot through the array like a sharp swing of a sword, instantly emerging above the firmament.
“What?” The eyes of the Grand Priest widened in utter shock. He had not expected the massive array to be torn apart so easily.
However, the moment his eyes focused on the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda, his heart jumped in shock, “That is…!”

The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse.
