Chapter 1857: Utterly Disappointed
Su Mo brought along 100 disciples with him and headed for the Imperial Ancestor Court. Along the way, he chatted with the disciples.
He had used the Illusory Technique and changed his look and aura. Those who were below the Empty God Realm would not be able to see through his disguise.
He was now a burly youth and the aura of his cultivation level was that of a Rank 8 Martial Emperor Realm martial artist. It was totally different from his actual aura.
“Senior Sister An Nuan, when we are at the Imperial Ancestor Court, you shall take the lead. I would like to see the attitude of the Imperial Ancestor Court!” Su Mo said to An Nuan, who was beside him. He had already told everyone not to disclose his identity to anyone outside Firmament Palace.
He would hide his identity and observe the Imperial Ancestor Court’s attitude. If the Imperial Ancestor Court went overboard, he would not show them any mercy in the future.
“Alright!”
An Nuan nodded. She then hesitated and said, “Su Mo, stop calling me Senior Sister!”
There was a great disparity between her and Su Mo now. Although it was comforting to hear Su Mo addressing her as Senior Sister, it made her feel uneasy at the same time.
Su Mo smiled and shook his head. An Nuan was his Senior Sister and she would remain as his Senior Sister regardless of his achievements.
Su Mo then turned to look at Bai Yiner, who was nearby and said, “Miss Yiner, you have great talent. Try to grab hold of the opportunity to move on to the Martial Honored Realm.”
“Sure! I will!” Bai Yiner pursed her lips together and nodded. She then looked at Su Mo with admiration.
However, that look was quickly replaced by a determined look.
Su Mo was impressed. Bai Yiner used to be an unreasonable and snobbish person at the City Governor Mansion in Shenwu Country. However, she was no longer behaving in that manner and she had become more mature.

Su Mo and the disciples chatted along the way and soon, they reached the Teleportation venue. They split into three batches and were being teleported to Saint Royal City.
They then continued with their journey and headed toward Saint Royal Palace.
However, when they were at the gate of Saint Royal Palace, they were stopped by the guards.
“Are all of you from Firmament Sect?”
The guards at the gate looked at Su Mo and the hundred disciples and asked in amazement.
“That’s right!” An Nuan nodded. Those disciples from Firmament Palace were known as the disciples from Firmament Sect.
After all, they would be eyed by the Sorcerer Tribe if they had used the name ‘Firmament Palace’.
“Why are there so many people?” The guard leader asked and furrowed his brows. They knew that Firmament Sect would send some people to Saint Royal Palace every month.
However, there were only a few of them previously. This time around, there were 100 of them.
“Is there a problem?” An Nuan asked instead of replying. She did not see a need to explain to a guard.
“Register!” The guard leader said in a deep voice. He dared not stop them. After all, he did not know anything about Firmament Sect.
He had simply received instructions from the King to allow the people from Firmament Sect to enter the Palace.
Everyone who entered the Palace had to be scrutinized and they had to register at the guardpost.
The guard helped all of them to register and he even included their cultivation levels.
Su Mo did not say a word and he simply watched quietly. The Imperial Ancestor Court was wary of them.
After they had finished registering, Su Mo and the disciples entered the Palace.
The Palace was huge. As An Nuan had been there once, she was familiar with the place. She brought everyone deep into the Palace.
Soon, they came to a large courtyard.
There was a large piece of green lawn in the courtyard, with a tall stone tower at the center.

Two middle-aged top powers from the Imperial Ancestor Court were guarding the gate of the stone tower. One of them was tall and thin, and the other was muscular. They had rich auras and both of them were at Rank 3 Martial Honored Realm.
When Su Mo saw the stone tower, he knew that it was a place for cultivation.
The Imperial Ancestor Court had sealed the Dragon’s Vein under the ground. The Dragon’ Vein’s Spiritual Qi then rose from the ground and filled the stone tower.
Very quickly, everyone came before the stone tower.
“Stop where you are!” The two guards shouted out loudly and stepped forward to prevent the disciples from getting in.
“We are from Firmament Sect.” An Nuan stopped moving and cupped her fist at the two guards.
“I know you are from Firmament Sect, but why are there so many people?” The tall and skinny guard asked with a frown.
“Of course, to cultivate in the stone tower!” An Nuan replied.
“There are limited cultivation rooms in the tower. Each time, your Firmament Sect can only send five people in!” The tall and skinny guard said.
When An Nuan heard what the guard had said, she did not know how to respond and simply glanced at Su Mo.
When Su Mo saw it, he stepped forward and stood beside An Nuan.
“From what I know, there are at least 100 cultivation rooms in the tower. Why is Firmament Sect only limited to send five people in?” Su Mo asked flatly as he looked at the two guards.
“Young man, what are you saying? This Cultivation Tower belongs to our Imperial Ancestor Court. You should be grateful that we have allowed five of you to enter. Don’t tell me that you wish to have a bigger quota!” The other muscular guard sneered.
“Oh?”
When Su Mo heard what the guard had said, he laughed and said, “Su Mo is the one who gave the Ancient Dragon’s Vein to the Imperial Ancestor Court!”
“Precisely. That is why we have shown him respect and have allowed you to enter the tower to cultivate!”
The muscular guard said haughtily. He had no idea about the relationship between Su Mo and Firmament Sect. He had heard that the King had been kind enough to allow the disciples from Firmament Sect to cultivate in the stone tower as he was grateful to Su Mo.
Firmament Sect must be the sect that Su Mo had joined previously. It was just a small, unknown force.
However, since Su Mo had left the Ancientspirit Galaxy, there was no need for the Imperial Ancestor Court to fulfill the wishes of Firmament Sect.
“Is it the King’s idea to allow only five people to enter?” Su Mo asked as he squinted his eyes. He was not particular about the quota but he wanted to know the stance of the Imperial Ancestor Court.
If the Imperial Ancestor Court was ungrateful, he would not show them any mercy.
“You don’t need to know whose idea it is!”
The muscular guard replied coldly. Having said that, he waved his hand and said, “Only five of you can enter the tower. The rest of you shall go back!”
Su Mo’s face darkened. The two guards must be from the Royal Family. If it was not so, they would not be placed to guard such an important place.
Su Mo was utterly disappointed by their attitude.
After he had painstakingly obtained the Dragon’s Vein for the Imperial Ancestor Court, before he left, the King had promised to let his friends use the Dragon’s Vein for their cultivation.
In only a few months, the King had turned his back on him.
If that went on for another year or so, none of the disciples from Firmament Palace would be allowed to enter!
“I am sorry, but all of us are going in!” Su Mo said coldly. At the same time, he was thinking of using Li Tongtian’s name to frighten the King.
