Chapter 1840: I Admit Defeat
Translator: Larbre Studio Editor: Larbre Studio
After having listened to Fan Yunsheng, Su Mo could not help his solemness. His opponent not only did not let him go lightly, but had also humiliated him.
“Hehe, although Su Mo has merely attained the Peak of Rank 7 Martial Emperor Realm, he is able to defeat Leng Xie. That indomitable spirit is amazing!”
Saint Elder Jia Shen chipped in and continued: “I would like to see it for myself, what prowess does such a devil possess ?”
His intention was clear as he incessantly talked about how Su Mo had defeated Leng Xie. He wanted Su Mo to accept the duel.
Saint Elder Jia Shen glanced at Leng Xie as he finished his words, he noticed that the latter had been infuriated and was showing a black face. He could not help his elation.
“Of course, I would also like to see for myself who is the masterful and talented warrior who defeated Leng Xie!”
The Third Elder of True Demon Tribe added. He harboured no ill intention towards Su Mo, as the duo were never acquainted. His sole intention was to put down the Sun Moon Tribe.
That martial genius, Su Mo, had defeated Leng Xie. If Su Mo could be taken down by Long Teng, the Sun Moon Tribe would have been disgraced.
“Hahaha, such a talent, even if his cultivation is low, he should be fearless of a duel!”
“Exactly. Yin Shen, do allow Su Mo from your tribe to accept the challenge!”
Another two masters of the Empty God Realm egged him on, hoping to watch the duel between Su Mo ang Long Teng.
Upon hearing all this, Yin Shen remained reticent and sighed gently.
At the same instant, Long Teng heard the commotion, he lamented that no one could have beaten Su Mo if he were to take on the challenge to fight.
Su Mo stared at Yin Shen, if the latter wanted to let him duel, even if he were unwilling, he had to take on the challenge.
“Su Mo, I want you to test out Long Teng’s real prowess!”
Having ended a brief discussion, Yin Shen turned to look at Su Mo and said plainly, he knew Su Mo had been there.

When Su Mo heard it, he resigned with a sigh. Since Yin Shen had ordered it, he had to accept the duel.
Fan Yunsheng made a sarcastic laugh. He was not displeased at all. He knew that there were more opportunities for duels later.
He was more than happy to let Su Mo be defeated and humiliated by Long Teng.
“How dare you try to snatch the lady I fancy. I am going to see what you are made of,” Fan Yunsheng sneered.
Saint Elder Jia Shen’s eyes twinkled. He was elated.
A group of Sorcerer Tribe watched Su Mo, everyone mocked at Su Mo secretly. Was Su Mo indomitable? Was Su Mo unchallengeable in this Ancientspirit Galaxy in this century?
We will see if you, Su Mo, can defeat Long Teng, the renowned Five Claws Golden Dragon. If you cannot take down Long Teng, how can you be indomitable?
Gao Haoran, Baili Liqing, Wen Tian and Han Xue the four disciples of the Myriad Worlds Mountain, all went silent. Su Mo, ranked 7 in the Martial Honored Realm, how could he be a match for Long Teng?
They had accompanied Su Mo to meet Senior Brother Bai. However the four unanimously agreed that Su Mo might be unqualified to accept the challenge.
“Let’s hope that Long Teng can teach you to be humble!” Gao Haoran muttered. In a previous incident in the Myriad Worlds Mountain, he had already wanted to teach Su Mo a lesson. He was happy that Long Teng could help him do that now.
Yun Youyou frowned. She had previously entered the Firmament Palace and heard about the nine Palace Masters. However, she had not been aware that Long Teng was one of the Palace Masters.
At that moment, she could not help but lament Su Mo’s destiny. A Rank 7 Martial Honored Realm to duel with Sage-to-be of the Five Claws Golden Dragon? In spite of Su Mo’s indomitable prowess, she did not think that Su Mo had a chance to survive the duel.
However, she did not think there was much to worry about. After all, Long Teng might not be able to lay a finger on Su Mo.
In the first match, Long Teng had delivered deadly blows and injured Leng Xie. He had been careful in subsequent duels to avoid injuring his opponents.

On the fighting platform, Su Mo stood up and in a flash of lighting, he lunged at White Jade Mountain.
He had been strategizing, his intent had been to spar a few rounds in order to put up a show, then he would pretend to lose the duel.
In a flash, Su Mo entered through the main door of the White Jade Mountain, he found himself in a mammoth Empty Space within its four walls.
Everyone’s attention was on Su Mo, none thought he could win, even if he was powerful enough to defeat Leng Xie, there was no doubt in everyone’s mind that he could even call it a match with Long Teng.
Most onlookers were from the Sun Moon Tribe and they looked grave. They had all heard that Su Mo’s prowess was unbelievable. Now it was the time to see for themselves.
However, Su Mo would be representing the Sun Moon Tribe in this duel. They hoped that Su Mo would be defeated disgracefully.
The rest of folks from the other Galaxies all shook their heads, believing that this duel was an absurd joke.
Many equal contemporaries could sense that Su Mo’s martial skills were robust, and comparable to most Rank 9 of the Martial Honored Realm. However, to be able to take on Long Teng, it would be a far cry from that.
“You bring this shame upon yourself! ” Leng Xie took a glance at Su Mo coldly, a smirk at the corner of his mouth.
Su Mo could have declined the duel. However, he did not back off and took up the fight squarely. He laughed at his own foolishness for the opportunity to ridicule himself in front of everyone.
On the other hand, Leng Xie steadied himself to prepare for the duel. He would like to see how powerful Su Mo had become.
He refused to believe that Su Mo had in fact surpassed him in the martial prowess.
After all, when Su Mo had initially defeated him, there was only a 1-rank gap between their martial prowess. Today, Leng Xie had worked hard to create a 2-rank gap between their powers.
At that moment, Log Teng was frustrated. He was in a dilemma. His opponent was the Palace Master.
What could he do?
Defeat the Palace Master?
Of course he could not do that!
Very quickly, Su Mo flew to stand in front of Long Teng. The two men faced each other and looked into each other’s eyes.
Silence prevailed. The crowd turned their full attention to the two warriors on the White Jade Mountain.
Su Mo looked at Long Teng, a man different to the one he had known. He sighed and said in a deep voice: “Long Teng you….!”
He had wanted to say, ‘Long Teng, you may strike first,’ however, he was cut short by Long Teng.
“I admit defeat!” Long Teng, with a solemn expression on his face, declared loudly.
His reply echoed through the White Jade Mountain. Everyone heard it.
Suddenly, everyone went quiet. They were shocked at Long Teng’s reply.
It was an unexpected moment and an unbelievable turning point. Everyone was taken aback.
Su Mo was aghast, it was unfathomable that Long Teng would admit defeat so decisively.
Of course, Long Teng represented the entire Dragon Tribe when he took on the duel. This was different from when he wanted to fight in his own name.
It took a while for the onlookers to comprehend what was happening. Everyone was stunned.
“Oh my goodness! Have I heard incorrectly? Did Long Teng admit defeat?”
“How could it be…? Why did he choose to surrender?”
“What is going on?”
“What is he up to?”
In a flash, commotion and noises began to fill the air, everyone was talking incessantly at the same time. Everyone was caught in utter disbelief.
Leng Xie, Fan Yunsheng, and including Saint Elder Jia Shen, were initially caught by a great surprise. These few folks had previous displeasures or hatred with Su Mo. Subsequently their faces donned some interesting expressions.
Long Teng had admitted defeat?
To Su Mo?
How could it be possible?
The unexpected outcome had shocked everyone, including Dark Dragon Lord, Third Elder of the True Demon Tribe, Yin Shen and the masters of the Empty God Realm.
