Chapter 1748: Not With Me Around!

Su Mo narrowed his eyes. The Giant Beings Clansmen were really tyrants.

However, taking a quick scan, Su Mo was taken aback.

Although there were not a lot of Giant Beings, only 300 of them, their cultivation ranks were terrifying.

The leader of the group was a middle-aged giant being who was 80 feet tall. He looked like a small mountain himself.

This man wore an animal skin shirt that revealed his chest. His face appeared to be ruthless and vicious, along with the black moustache that fell from his chin. He looked like the Tu Fu from Merit Hall of Myriads World Mountain.

However, there wasn’t any tyrannical aura from his body and he appeared to be ordinary and yet, mysterious.

There was also a Martial Sage, three other Sage-to-be elders and young talents.

All of them had high cultivation ranks and the lowest member was a Rank 8 Martial Honorable. There were no less than 100 Rank 9 Martial Honorables among them.

However, there was only one person who had managed to become a Sage-to-be for the younger generation.

Once Su Mo saw the Sage-to-be, he was reminded of the Ancient Elephant Human statue in Firmament World.

This man was bald and he was about 60 feet approximately. He wore an animal-skin shirt and his body burst with muscles. Veins lined his muscles like dragons on his skin that danced across his body.

“Greetings to Elder Feng Shen!”

Right at that point, numerous Martial Sages cupped their fists towards the middle-aged Giant Beings and greeted him respectfully.

This man was Feng Shen of the Giant Beings Clan and he was an Empty God.

“Ha ha~~”

Elder Feng Shen burst out into a mad roar of laughter as he yelled, “You younger generation know how to pay your respects to elders. However, I don’t have any time to converse with you all.”

With that, Elder Feng Shen stepped out into the air as though he were a moving mountain and shot towards the cities in the skies.

As though the Sky City knew that Elder Feng Shen had arrived, the doors to the city automatically opened.

Thereafter, the massive figure of Elder Feng Shen walked into Sky City and entered Triple Deities Sect.

Su Mo sighed inwardly. It seemed that only an Empty God could enter the Triple Deities Sect while the rest of the crowd had to wait outside the doors of the city.

Right at that moment, many people’s gazes fell upon the bald young man of the Giant Beings Clan and they whispered amongst themselves.

“That man is Ju Shen, the top gifted talent in the Giant Beings Clan who is one of the hottest candidates for winning the contest.”

“Sage-to-be Realm… however I don’t think I can see the depths of his abilities.”

“Of course. The Giant Beings Clan mainly trains their physical bodies. Their cultivation ranks are only a supplement to that. How can anyone see the abilities of his physical body?”

“I heard that he can use only the strength of his physical body to kill an ordinary Sage-to-be.”

“Scary!”

Su Mo eavesdropped on the crowd’s conversation and came to a realization that the man was Ju Shen.

He made a mental note to watch Ju Shen. Any strong individual would be his opponent.

After all, Su Mo wanted to win the contest and he had to defeat all his strong opponents.

At that moment, Ju Shen’s eyes were moving through the crowd quickly as though he was trying to find something.

After a while, he didn’t seem to find who he was looking for.

“It seems that I arrived too early!” He laughed to himself. He was looking for Wu Qiong, Fei Tianyu and Hei Yaohuang, but it appeared that they had not arrived.

Just then, Ju Shen’s eyes fell upon a mountain range not far away, where both the east and west sides had a 10,000 feet tall mountain.

Shoosh!

Ju Shen lifted his leg and walked towards one of the mountains.

Confusion filled the crowd as they wondered what Ju Shen was trying to do.

Very quickly, Ju Shen arrived before one of the mountains and he flew into the air above it to arrive before a magnificent wall.

Hovering in mid-air, Ju Shen stood domineeringly as he looked down on the entire crowd. Then, he lifted a finger and pressed it gently against the wall.

Everyone was bewildered. What was he trying to do?

In the next moment, Ju Shen waved his hand slightly. Suddenly, cracks appeared in the wall originating from Ju Shen’s finger, as though the stiff wall was a block of tofu.

Crack crack crack!!!

As though glass was shattering, Ju Shen instantly wrote four large words on the wall.

Everyone narrowed their eyes to take a closer look and were instantly surprised. The four large words were –’I am the best’!

‘I am the best’. These four words seemed to glow off the wall as they brought along a cold, domineering sense on the crowd.

It was as though the writer of these words had the confidence of being unrivalled throughout the world.

“I, Ju Shen, am going to be the first in the Sky Dragon Contest!” Ju Shen turned to look at the crowd. His eyes that looked as deep as an ocean sparkling brightly as his hoarse voice boomed out like thunder around the plains.

Numerous geniuses were stunned by Ju Shen’s display as they stared blankly at him.

I am the best!

His ultimate confidence and actions. Did he see all the other geniuses of the Ancientspirit Galaxy as nothing?

Su Mo squinted and frowned. He could feel an unbound sense of confidence from Ju Shen that he had never felt from his enemies before.

This made the battling sense in his heart slowly rise. He had the same confidence of not being defeated wherever he went.

Once Ju Shen had written the four words, he lowered himself down onto the plains and sat down cross-legged on them.

He had been waiting for the start of the Sky Dragon Contest since long ago.

“He he~~~!”

Right at that point, lighthearted laughter emerged from within Sky City.

Everyone turned to look, only to see a skinny figure slowly rising above Sky City.

This person was thin, but he had a straight curtain of black hair that seemed to point down his head like individual swords.

With a plain face but deep eyes that looked like stars, the man glowed with a magnificent aura.

“It is Xue Juntian!”

“It seems like Xue Juntian also came due to Ju Shen’s actions!”

“What a strong aura!”

Many people muttered to themselves. The young man who had flown out of Sky City was Xue Juntian, the top talent of the Triple Deities Sect.

Su Mo’s eyes brightened. Was that young man Xue Juntian?

“Brother Ju Shen, long time no see. Your confidence is as high as ever!”

Xue Juntian’s stared at Ju Shen, who was seated cross-legged on the plain, and he smiled.

“Confidence comes from strength. I trained the Ninety Records and have never lost against someone in the same rank as me. I will also not be defeated in the Sky Dragon Contest!” Ju Shen stared at Xue Juntian, maintaining the same amount of confidence as before.

“Hehe, I am actually hoping that someone will be able to defeat me in a same-rank contest!” Xue Juntian smiled.

The crowd was surprised. Xue Juntian’s words didn’t seem to be as arrogant as Ju Shen’s, but he had implied the same thing: that he had never been defeated before.

These two were both unrivalled among those of the same cultivation rank as them.

With that, Xue Juntian unsheathed his sword and pointed it towards Ju Shen suddenly.

In an instant, sharp Sword Qi shot through the air out off Sky City and carved the mountain opposite Ju Shen.

Xue Juntian lightly drew with his fingers and Sword Qi danced on the mountain.

Streaks of sharp Sword Qi continuously sculpted the mountain. He wrote out another four words – Not with me around!
