Su Mo couldn’t help sighing sadly upon seeing the explosion. The Chaotic Energy was too unstable and the time that it could hold was too short.

Before it attacked Zhu Tong, it crumbled apart on its own because it was too unstable.

This also caused the threat of the Chaotic Energy to not meet his expectations.

However, as long as he could defeat Zhu Tong, he would be happy with that outcome. He had not wanted to kill Zhu Tong.

On the other hand, the First and Third Prince stared grimly at the scene in front of them. However, the two were at a loss for words.

Ren Tianya sighed. He had not managed to defeat Zhu Tong, but Su Mo defeated Zhu Tong. This meant that Su Mo’s strength far exceeded his abilities as the Platoon Leader.

The king calmly said as his eyes brimmed brightly. This Su Mo had unfathomable potential.

He clearly saw that Su Mo’s Dark Force had drastically changed for the last attack. The 5 elements probably merged together, giving rise to such a power.

Powerful aura surged from him and he stood domineeringly on top the Dragon Pillar.

The silence in the world lasted for a few dozen breaths before a figure flashed through the air with an air-rending sound.

Another expert appeared. The First Platoon Leader of the Red Dragon Camp, Hua Xun flew directly towards the Dragon Pillar that Xu Feng was on.

Very quickly, Hua Xun landed on the Dragon Pillar and the 2 Red Dragon Camp Platoon Leaders exchanged blows.

The two seemed to be equally matched and they both used sabres to battle, although their styles were different.

Hua Xun’s sabre was heavy and vicious, while Xu Feng’s sabre was sharp and smooth.

After an intense fight involving 100 exchanges, Hua Xun lost and Xu Feng maintained his winning streak.

The First Prince could only sigh helplessly because Hua Xun was his underling.

At that point, among the 5 people originally on the Dragon Pillars, only Zhu Tong had been defeated. The 4 others steadily maintained their wins and remained on the Dragon Pillar.

However, although they knew that they did not have any hopes of being selected, many people continued to challenge the few on the Dragon Pillar.

After all, since they had come, they ought to be significant and not back down without a fight.

The battles continued and the 5 strong individuals, including the First Prince, on the Dragon Pillars continued to meet challenger after challenger.

Finally, Ren Tianya, who had challenged Zhu Tong previously battled against Xu Feng. After an intense 30 minute fight, the winner of the battle finally emerged.

Ren Tianya had won with a devastating blow towards Xu Feng even though Xu Feng possessed a Lower Sacred Weapon.

The defeated Xu Feng and Hua Xun challenged the Second Princess and Third Prince respectively, but they both lost and sustained injuries along the way.

The entire process of battle lasted 3 hours before the event finally ended.

Su Mo, Ren Tianya, the Third Prince, Second Princess and the First Prince were the 5 selected for the Sky Dragon Contest.

With his palms together behind his back, the First Prince floated in mid-air and slowly sighed after seeing that the other contestants were no longer being challenged by anyone else.

He was thinking as to whether he should give his Dragon Pillar up to Hua Xun and challenge another person to take their Dragon Pillar for himself.

Su Mo and Ren Tianya were both his targets.

However, after pondering over it for a while, he gave up that thought.

If Hua Xun could not hold his Dragon Pillar for himself, he would be defeated by someone else.

“Is there anyone else who wants to challenge?”

The king scanned the crowd as he asked in a loud voice that had bellowed out his authority.

The crowd was silent. Many people had challenged 2 or 3 times but they had all lost. As such, they wouldn’t challenge and dumbly be defeated again.

“Alright, since there are no other challengers, the 5 representatives for the Sky Dragon Contest will be these 5!”

The king announced. With that, he scanned the 5 shortlisted combatants and said, “Gu Cangtian, Gu Feifei, Gu Yuanji, Su Mo, Ren Tianya, I don’t need all of you to enter the top 100 in the Sky Dragon Contest. As long as you do the Imperial Ancestor Court proud, I will reward you!”

“Yes, your majesty!” The 5 contestants replied as they cupped their fists towards the king respectfully.

“Mm!”

The king nodded his head in satisfaction as he waved his robe aside and said, “The shortlisting contest has ended. A few months later, I will personally bring all of you to Trinity Star!”

Then, the king opened the Empty World pavement again and left the Empty World first.

Everyone sighed exasperatedly. The 5 candidates had been selected. Aside from Su Mo, the other candidates were expected to be chosen.

After all, the number of Rank 9 Martial Honorables in Imperial Ancestor Court Faction were all in that handful.

“This is nothing!” Su Mo shook his head. It was just being shortlisted for the Sky Dragon Contest and it was something he had to do.

If he didn’t even manage to be shortlisted, what would happen to his mission!?

“I will look forward to your performance at the Sky Dragon Contest!” Gu Tianyi saw Su Mo’s burning confidence.

The two then followed the crowd to leave the Empty World and return to the Great Yin-Yang Palace.

Since the king was no longer in the palace, everyone took their leave.

Su Mo followed Gu Tianyi to leave the palace and return to Palace Yi to make further preparations for the Sky Dragon Contest.
