Chapter 1718: King Of The Bugs

Su Mo took a deep breath. He turned his palm over and a small golden bug appeared in his palm. It was the Black Biting Bug that he had purchased from the Relic Hall.

“This is the same type of bug found in Demon Mountain.” Su Mo looked at the golden bug in his hand and his eyes glittered.

If the bug was extraordinary like Elder Wei had said it was, it would be a piece of good news to him.

Su Mo then activated the Dark Force in his palm and squeezed it hard.

Crackle…

Su Mo used almost all his strength to squeeze the bug and the joints in his hand started to crack.

After he released his grip, the body of the golden bug remained unscathed.

“It has such great defense power!” Su Mo was shocked. The force that he had used could even change the shape of a Middle Honorable Weapon, but it had no effect on the golden bug.

“This bug is extraordinary. I wonder if those bugs in Demon Mountain can evolve to a golden color!” Su Mo muttered to himself. Those bugs might become one of his trump cards.

Su Mo was back to the Ancient Demon’s Brain and he looked around carefully. There were still 16 purplish gold bugs among the bugs and there was no increase at all.

It could be due to time constraints that the bugs were unable to evolve at a fast pace!

There were many silver bugs, tens of thousands of them. The rest were the black bugs and they made up the majority.

How can I subdue them? Su Mo frowned. He would need to use his mental strength to subdue and refine the bugs. However, how could he refine so many bugs? It was impossible for him to subdue one at a time!

There should be a leader!

Su Mo thought to himself. Since those bugs lived and attacked in a community, there should be a leader. If that wasn’t so, they would not have coordinated so well to form a huge sword within such a short period of time.

Su Mo’s eyes lit up. He fixed his gaze on the 16 purplish-gold bugs and started to observe them carefully.

After a while, he broke out into a smile. As he had expected, there was one bug that looked different.

That purplish-gold bug was slightly bigger than the other 15 bugs and, although it was purplish-gold as well, there were some prints on its carapace.

The prints were white and fine, and it was like a web that covered the body of the bug.

If Su Mo had not observed it carefully, he would not have noticed the prints.

You must be the one!

Light flashed across Su Mo’s eyes and he was certain that that bug was the King of the bugs. At lightning speed, he dashed toward the King of the bugs.

In the twinkle of an eye, he was before the King of the bugs.

Swoosh!

The King of the bugs felt threatened and it shot far away like an arrow.

Su Mo did not stop it as he wanted to see if his conjecture was correct.

Chirp! Chirp!

Su Mo noticed that the King of the bugs cried out and a faint soundwave came out of its mouth.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

Suddenly, several bugs that were above the Ancient Demon’s Brain spread out their wings and flew toward Su Mo.

It is indeed so!

Su Mo smiled when he saw it. He was right in his speculation. That bug was the leader and it was sending out orders to the rest of the bugs.

Although Su Mo had no idea what orders had been passed down, he knew that the sound and the faint soundwave were the instructions passed down to the other bugs to attack him.

Su Mo activated the Dark Force in his body and a layer of thick Body Protection Dark Force covered him up. When the thousands of bugs hit his Body Protection Dark Force, there were loud bangs.

The bugs were unable to attack him given his current strength and thus he did not bother about them.

Swoosh!

At that instant, a ray of sword radiance attacked Su Mo on his head.

The purplish-gold bugs and the silver bugs formed a large sword and flew toward Su Mo to attack him.

However, the King of the bugs was not among them. It flew to the other side and rested on the Ancient Demon’s Brain.

Bang!

Su Mo took out the Stone Sword and stabbed out. The Stone Sword and the Winged Insect Sword hit each other.

Pom!

There was a bang and the Winged Insect Sword dispersed, scattering the bugs around.

The purplish-gold bugs did not come to any harm, but some of the silver bugs were killed by the powerful blow that Su Mo had thrown out.

In a flash, Su Mo shook off the surrounding bugs and dashed toward the King of the bugs again.

Before he went near the King of the bugs, Su Mo stretched out his hand to grab it.

The King of the bugs was smart. It felt threatened and wanted to escape. However, it was unable to run away from Su Mo!

Su Mo’s Dark Force Palm was like a huge net. It came over the King of the bugs and caught it in an instant.

The King of the bugs struggled fiercely. It let out a loud cry and the soundwaves traveled out of its mouth again.

In an instant, several bugs around the Ancient Demon’s Brain turned violent and they attacked Su Mo crazily.

The bangs continued and as the number of bugs was too huge, their fierce attacks caused the rich Body Protection Dark Force outside Su Mo’s body to shake. Soon, the Body Protection Dark Force would fall apart.

Su Mo withdrew his Dark Force Palm and covered himself with the Dark Force. He then flew out of Demon Mountain in a hurry, with the King of the bugs in his hand.

In a short while, Su Mo was out of Demon Mountain.

This time around, all the bugs followed him out of Demon Mountain and attacked him crazily.

Crap! They are crazy! Su Mo was shocked. The King of the bugs seemed to be of great importance to the bugs.

In the past, Su Mo would have killed the bugs. However, he would not do so now as they were precious.
