Chapter 1673: Head Toward Black Mountain Fort Again

Su Mo had no choice but to go out to war as he was the squad leader of the second platoon. He could not defy the military order.

After the army had been dismissed, he was summoned by Ren Tianya.

Ren Tianya had gathered 10 squadron leaders, including Su Mo, and they called out a simple meeting to group their teams together.

The other nine squadron leaders were powerful. They were either at Rank 3 or Rank 4 Martial Honored Realm.

After the meeting had ended, Su Mo went back to his hall and gathered Heng Fei, Ge Li, Wang Xi, and the other seven squad leaders together. After making the necessary arrangements, he instructed them to manage their team and get ready to set off.

The following morning, the first and second platoons from Red Dragon Camp headed for the Southern City, led by the two platoon leaders.

The Southern City was located at a large military drill-ground. When Su Mo and the rest of the soldiers reached the destination, the drill-ground was already packed with soldiers.

A Black Armor Army, that comprised 20,000 soldiers, aligned themselves neatly on the military drill-ground. They looked awe-inspiring and cold, and their ominous auras caused even the white clouds in the sky to turn black.

They were a tough batch of troop that had been out to wars. The training that they had received was strict and it way surpassed what Red Dragon Camp had gone through.

Having said that, the cultivation levels of the soldiers were at a different level compared to Red Dragon Camp’s.

Although the number of soldiers in Red Dragon Camp was small, the lowest cultivation level was at the middle-rank Martial Emperor Realm. Many squad leaders had a cultivation level at the Martial Honored Realm.

For the Black Armor Army, most of them were at the Martial Royal Realm and less than one-tenth of them were at the Martial Emperor Realm. There were only 10 martial artists who were at the Martial Honored Realm.

Su Mo knew that the troop was known as Black Cloud Army, which was another troop belonging to the Imperial Ancestor Court.

A burly, middle-aged man in purple armor was standing in front of Black Cloud Army and he looked awe-inspiring.

That man was Jin Tai, the Commander of Black Cloud Army.

A huge, rectangular Call-officers-roll Platform was situated in front of Black Cloud Army.

Su Mo and the soldiers from Red Dragon Camp formed two teams and they gathered with Black Cloud Army on the drill-ground.

The two platoon leaders stood at the forefront, facing the Call-officers-roll Platform and waited patiently with Jin Tai.

There was total silence at both Black Cloud Army and Red Dragon Camp.

Su Mo moved his gaze to look at the soldiers from both troops and he saw some familiar faces.

He saw that Zhu Ying was still in Red Dragon Camp and he was with the second platoon. He had moved to another squadron and had assumed the position of squad leader.

Su Mo saw Jin Lu and Zhu Tong in Black Cloud Army as well.

The two of them seemed to hold high positions in Black Cloud Army as they were standing at the front.

Jin Lu’s body had recovered and he did not become crippled. However, he looked pale and it was apparent that he had not completely recovered from his injury.

Jin Lu and Zhu Tong seemed to have noticed Su Mo looking at them and they turned to look at him.

The two of them looked cold, without any emotion.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

After waiting for about 15 minutes, several figures darted over in the sky and landed on the Platform.

After Su Mo had taken a good look at them, he was shocked. The few people who were standing on the Call-officers-roll Platform were all females.

The one taking the lead was in blue armor. She was slender and had a fair complexion, and she had a pair of clear, bright eyes.

That lady was the Second Princess of the Imperial Ancestor Court, Gu Feifei.

Five female guards were standing beside the Second Princess and they were in white armor. All of them were masters of the Martial Honored Realm.

“Greetings, Second Princess!”

The soldiers from Red Dragon Camp and Black Cloud Army shouted out loudly and their voices thundered.

Many soldiers were filled with respect and adoration for the Second Princess. She was more popular in the army compared to the three Princes.

The Second Princess had gone out to war since she was young and she had fought many battles. That was how she became famous.

No one in the entire Imperial Ancestor Court dared to look down on her due to her gender.

She was a rare talent and she was not inferior to the men.

Fortunately, the Second Princess was a female. If it was not so, the three Princes would not be able to compete with her.

The Second Princess nodded and she took a quick look at the troop. She then asked loudly, “Is everyone in place?”

“Second Princess, the 20,000 soldiers from Black Cloud Army are ready to set off!” Jin Tai reported loudly.

“Second Princess, the 1,000 soldiers from the first platoon of Red Dragon Camp are all here!” The first platoon leader from Red Dragon Camp reported loudly.

“Second Princess, the 1,000 soldiers from the second platoon of Red Dragon Camp are all here!” Ren Tianya reported loudly.

Jin Tai from Black Cloud Army and the two platoon leaders from Red Dragon Camp were at Rank 9 Martial Honored Realm. Their voices were rich and powerful like strong waves.

The first platoon leader was a tall youth with a hatchet face. He was known as Hua Xun.

When the Second Princess heard them, she nodded. A golden badge appeared in her hand.

The badge was about the size of a Jade Sip and it was shiny. It was like a small, golden sun.

Within the dazzling golden light was a golden dragon with five claws and it was lingering around. It looked amazing.

That was the Tiger Seal for the Holy Dynasty to mobilize the army. It was unique and there was no way to make a copy of it.

“I shall be in command of this expedition!”

The Second Princess’ voice was loud and clear and it resounded in the area. She then continued, saying, “According to the information that we have received from the border, the army from Blood Pupil Clan has besieged Black Mountain Fort and we are setting off to the Fort now!”

“Yes!” All the soldiers shouted in unison.

The Second Princess then waved her hand and 10 warships appeared in the sky. All the warships were humongous and they were golden-purple in color, exuding great auras.

“Within two breaths, everyone must be in the warships and we shall head for Black Mountain Fort!” The Second Princess shouted out loudly.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Before the Second Princess finished her statement, many soldiers had already darted to the warships.

In less than two breaths, more than 20,000 soldiers boarded the warships.

Su Mo, Ren Tianya, and the soldiers from the second platoon boarded the same warship.

The Second Princess boarded another warship. The 10 warships then shot out into the sky, like 10 rays of purple light, toward Black Mountain Fort.

The warship was spacious. Although there were 1,000 soldiers in the warship, it was not packed at all.

Su Mo stood at the bow of the warship and looked calmly at the void that had been torn apart by the warships.

The speed of the warship was slower than the Virtual Ship that he had taken to True Sage Territory when he was still at Shenwu Academy.

Even so, the speed of the warship was still faster than his speed would have been if he had flown.

“Black Mountain Fort!” Su Mo muttered to himself. He was familiar with the place as he had been there before. Back then, he had guarded the Spiritual Stones Mine that was near Black Mountain Fort for some time.
