Chapter 1653: Wu Fengtian’s Outrageousness
“Hmph!”
Honored Wu Han looked at Su Mo and coldly scoffed, “Su Mo, you somehow managed to survive under the Grand Priest’s hands. Did you think that I would let you off?”
At that point, Wu Han was feeling helpless. The Blood Pupil Clan had already investigated for him that Su Mo had been in Red Dragon Camp.
He had originally intended to try to assassinate Su Mo after entering Saint Royal City.
By that time, Su Mo would have been dead and the Imperial Ancestor Court Faction could not do anything to him!
He and Wu Fengtian had successfully entered the territory of the Imperial Ancestor Court and things had been proceeding smoothly for them.
Yet the moment they entered Saint Royal City, they were discovered by the Imperial Ancestor Court and this made Wu Han feel incredibly helpless.
Without being able to assassinate Su Mo, he and Wu Fengtian were brought to the Saint Royal Palace.
“I will not forget the Grand Priest’s palm force for him! I will make sure he pays me back in the future!” Su Mo remained calm. Back then, he had deceived everyone by having his avatar be killed by the Grand Priest.
Although that wasn’t his real body, Su Mo would not forget that grudge and as long as he lived, he would resolve his grudge with the Grand Priest personally.
“Outrageous!”
At that point, Wu Fengtian, who had been sitting still to one side, suddenly raged out. In the next moment, he dashed forward to Su Mo.
Wu Fengtian attacked without warning at lightning speed. Since he had been no fewer than a hundred feet from Su Mo, he arrived in front of Su Mo in the blink of an eye.
“Die!”
A cold voice shouted out as Wu Fengtian raised his palm and aimed it at Su Mo’s head.
The speed of his attack was incredibly fast as his finger mirrored a large sharp sword that pierced through the air towards Su Mo.
Although there wasn’t much Dark Force in this attack, massive energy was gathered into Wu Fengtian’s fingertips.

If the blow landed on Su Mo’s head, it would have pierced directly through his mind and destroyed even the Fighting Soul in it.
“Not good!” Su Mo was shocked out of his wits. Although he had been extra wary, he had not expected Wu Fengtian to suddenly attack him.
Gu Tianyi and Zhu Yi were both dumbstruck. None of them had imagined that Wu Fengtian would be so fearless and dare to attack Su Mo without any warning.
However, it was too late for them to stop Wu Fengtian.
Even Honored Wu Han had his face turn pale. He didn’t know that Wu Fengtian would directly attack Su Mo either.
However, if Wu Fengtian could kill Su Mo just like that, it would be a good thing and they would save a lot of trouble.
Shoosh!
Wu Fengtian’s finger pierced through the air as a splitting sound erupted.
With the finger right about to hit him, Su Mo was not able to counter attack and desperately activated his Body Constitution.
Bam!
Su Mo’s mind avoided the finger, but Wu Fengtian’s finger scraped Su Mo’s skin. Like a sharp, horrific sword, it pierced through the defensive strength of Su Mo’s special body constitution.
Shoosh!
Without any delay, Su Mo immediately retreated and pulled apart the distance between himself and Wu Fengtian.
The surface wound to his forehead resulted in a fresh stream of blood. As the blood stained his palm, Su Mo was immediately furious.
“Asshole!” Sword Radiance flashed in Su Mo’s palm and the stone sword appeared in his hands.
“Not bad!” Wu Fengtian face darkened. He did not manage to kill Su Mo in a single blow. As such, he summoned Dark Force in his palm and prepare to attack again.
“Enough!” Right at that moment, a cold yell rang through the palace as a massive wave of force rolled out and crushed the air in the entire palace like a thousand mountains.
Wu Fengtian and Su Mo’s body jerked under the massive force and they stopped themselves.
It was Gu Tianyi who yelled out. However, the source of the massive force was from Commander Zhu Yi.

“Wu Fengtian, what are you doing? Are you not being disrespectful to me by attacking an Imperial Ancestor Court Faction member in front of me?” Gu Tianyi’s face darkened as he questioned.
“You?”
An arrogant smile stretched across Wu Fengtian’s stone face as he said, “What position are you in to be able to be disrespected by me?”
“You… aren’t you being too outrageous?” Gu Tianyi immediately boiled with rage. This man was unbelievable. He actually dared to humiliate him in front of everyone.
However, Gu Tianyi was tolerant and he resisted his urge to rage.
“Hand over Su Mo and we will immediately leave!” Wu Fenngtian did not reply Gu Tianyi and coldly demanded.
“What right do you have to ask me to hand him over?” Gu Tianyi coldly scoffed. Since Wu Fengtian had humiliated him, he would not be polite to Wu Fengtian either.
“You have to think carefully. It is an illogical decision to offend the Sorcerer Tribe over a puny ant!” Wu Fengtian warned with an expressionless face.
“Are you representing the Sorcerer Tribe? I am afraid you don’t have the right to do so, right?” Gu Tianyi wore a mocking expression. Wu Fengtian was only the Young Clan Leader of the Heavenly Underworld Star Sorcerer Tribe and he wasn’t of the main branch. As such, Gu Tianyi wasn’t afraid of him.
The side branch of the Sorcerer Tribe on the Heavenly Underworld Star wasn’t very much stronger than the Imperial Ancestor Court.
Wu Fengtian maintained his stone-cold expression as a cold glare of killing intent flashed through his eyes. If he wasn’t in the Saint Royal Palace, he would immediately kill this Eighth Prince.
Su Mo stood with a darkened face in a corner as he glared at Wu Fengtian with a deep sense of hatred in his eyes. That man was incredibly rude and fearless.
However, his power was indeed terrifying to be able to break through his defensive strength with a single finger.
Wu Han sighed inwardly. The Young Clan Leader was indeed too outrageous. How could Gu Tianyi take such rude words calmly?
“Eighth Prince, I believe you know the grudge between Su Mo and my Sorcerer Tribe. We will not stop if we don’t kill him!” Wu Han immediately spoke, changing the topic.
“Honored Wu Han, Su Mo is a man of the Imperial Ancestor Court Faction who has conscientiously worked hard and gathered much credit. I cannot possibly hand him over for you to kill,” Gu Tianyi said. Since Wu Han was being polite, he would naturally speak politely as well.
Wu Han frowned slightly. He knew that Gu Tianyi was lying about Su Mo’s credits.
He had discovered that Su Mo had not been in the Imperial Ancestor Court for long and had not done anything much for the court. What did he mean by conscientiously working hard for the Imperial Ancestor Court?
“Eighth Prince, you are the price of the Imperial Ancestor Court and you have to consider the history of the Imperial Ancestor Court of over 10,000 years. If you fall out with my tribe because of Su Mo, your efforts will go to waste, won’t they?” Wu Han challenged.
Gu Tianyi’s face darkened, he was clear of this fact.
However, Su Mo was no ordinary genius and had talents that were seen once in a thousand years. Su Mo could help him greatly in the future and hence, he had to protect him.
Of course, he would still judge based on the circumstances and reach a corresponding decision.
If the Sorcerer Tribe directly brought a Martial Sage, he would not be able to protect Su Mo. The king would also not offend the Sorcerer Tribe for Su Mo.
However, Gu Tianyi could still protect Su Mo with only 2 Martial Honorable Realm assassins from the Sorcerer Tribe.
If he couldn’t protect Su Mo in the future, that would be another matter.

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
