Chapter 1631: No One Backed Down

Boom boom boom!

Just as Taishi Jue was about to attack, a large, invisible force suddenly befell the ground, like a roll of thunder.

This force was as strong as the weight of 10 000 mountains and it caused everyone’s bodies to shake violently. Suddenly, no one could control themselves.

A group of people zipped through the air from the inner mansion.

It was a small group of only 30 people comprising males and females, old and young.

Su Mo turned his head and his eyes immediately narrowed. These people were all instructors of the Shenwu Academy.

Instructor Mu Li and Grandmaster Huo Yuan were among them. A young-looking gentleman led the group. He was Estate Master Du of the Shenwu Academy.

Estate Master Du led the group of instructors and arrived on the scene. He stopped in the air above the crowd.

“Do you still have any regard for the rules of the academy with your actions here?”

Estate Master Du stared at Su Mo, Gu Tianyi, Taishi Jue and the others as he glowered.

Silence befell the crowd. Now that the Estate Master was here, there was no way for things to continue.

“Taishi Jue, could you explain why you are doing this?” Estate Master Du’s eyes fell on Taishi Jue.

Sighing deeply, Taishi Jue cupped his fists towards Estate Master Du and said, “Estate Master, Su Mo is vicious. He killed a dozen disciples from our Taishi Family and he also destroyed the market of our faction, thus killing another 20 people. Su Mo must be punished!”

Estate Master Du acknowledged Taishi Jue before he looked at Su Mo and asked, “Su Mo, is Taishi Jue telling the truth? If you have truly committed such a severe crime, I will not let you off!”

Estate Master Du stared at Su Mo and asked. He was also curious about how Su Mo had managed to live after being attacked by Wu Lun, but he didn’t ask Su Mo about it.

Su Mo could live and that must meant he had the abilities to do so. This was Su Mo’s own private matter and he wouldn’t inquire on it.

Everyone’s eyes glimmered brightly. Estate Master Du did not seem to be biased towards anyone as he took a fair stance in the matter.

“Estate Master, I did kill many people, but I have a reason for my actions!” Su Mo explained indifferently as he cupped his fists towards Estate Master Du.

Su Mo respected Estate Master Du as he did not worry about offending the Sorcerer Tribe when Wu Lun Grand Priest had arrived at the Shenwu Academy previously.

Of course, his actions could also be explained by Su Mo’s relationship with Grandmaster Huo Yuan. However, Su Mo had regarded the man as worthy of the title of the Estate Master of Shenwu Academy.

“What reasons?” Estate Master Du asked.

All the Shenwu academy disciples were also curious as they wanted to hear what Su Mo’s reasons were.

“Previously, I ventured out to train and Taishi Jue ordered Shan Yao to follow me secretly. I found out about it and killed Shan Yao.”

“2 days ago, Taishi Lin and ten other martial artists tried to kill me when I was on my way back to Shenwu Academy.”

“I cannot possibly do nothing and wait for my death in an assassination attempt. I killed the ten other martial artists and chased after Taishi Lin.”

“Taishi Lin was sneaky and he escaped to the Taishi Market in Guan Ning City. He tried to liaise with the martial artists in Taishi Market in order to kill me again!”

“However, all of them were weaker than me and I ended up killing them.”

“Eventually I chased Taishi Lin all the way back to Shenwu Academy!”

Su Mo did not pause as he explained everything from start to finish in one breath.

Since Su Mo had searched Shan Yao’s memories, he knew the names of Ji Feng and the group of disciples he led. He also knew clearly about the schemes of Taishi Jue.

The crowd was taken aback. Taishi Jue had ordered groups of people to assassinate Su Mo so many times, but Su had Mo ended up killing them. It was too shocking!

“Nonsense!”

Taishi Jue immediately accused Su Mo and continued, “Estate Master, Su Mo is talking nonsense. I never sent men to assassinate him, he is simply lying through his teeth. This man is completely despicable and he loves to kill people and take their treasures. Estate Master, you must not believe him!”

“That’s right, Estate Master Du I can verify that Su Mo is lying!”

Taishi Lin spoke and, with his face red with hatred, he lied, “I led the group of disciples to seek treasures outside, but who knew that we would meet Su Mo on our way out. Su Mo did not hesitate to sneak an attack on us. The other 10 disciples all died and I was the only one who escaped!”

Taishi Jue lied, he naturally would not confess to his assassination attempt on Su Mo. Although admitting that he was being chased by Su Mo was embarrassing, he did not care about much anymore.

At that moment, no one knew who to believe. Who between Su Mo, Taishi Jue and Taishi Lin was lying?

Right at that moment, Su Mo and Taishi Jue spoke simultaneously as they both cupped their fists towards Estate Master Du.

“You two still have things to say?” Estate Master Du asked.

Taishi Jue and Su Mo exchanged a look as hatred boiled in their eyes. Taishi Lin spoke out first, “Su Mo killed so many people of our faction, he must pay for his crimes today!”

Taishi Jue did not want to delay matters, if he didn’t kill Su Mo now, the hatred in his heart would not be resolved.

Estate Master Du nodded his head slightly before he turned to look at Su Mo, urging Su Mo to reply.

“Estate Master, Taishi Jue continuously ordered men to kill me. He must pay for his crimes too!” Su Mo glared as Taishi Jue, killing intent flashing through his eyes.

The rage in his heart was no less than Taishi Jue’s. The continuous assassination attempts were getting on his nerves.

All the disciples who had witnessed this was taken aback. Su Mo and Taishi Jue were stubborn. Even after the Estate Master spoke, the two would not let the matter rest!

Su Mo and Taishi Jue glared at each other with needles shooting out of their eyes. It was a sight to behold as none of them wanted to back down.

Estate Master Du’s face fell as a helpless expression crossed his face.
