Chapter 1585: Get Hold Of The Ancient Demon’s Heart

Su Mo traveled on the sword and tore the space apart. He was feeling relaxed as he was not afraid that Leng Xie and Pei Jing would catch up with him.

When he turned his head to look behind him, he noticed that Leng Xie had stopped his pursuit and only Pei Jing was still on his heels. Su Mo broke out into a smile.

Leng Xie was embarrassing himself by pitting himself against Su Mo over the depletion of energy.

However, when Su Mo thought of his task, his face turned grave. He had to get Pei Jing off his heels quickly.

He had to go back to Skeleton Heart Valley quickly in case things got out of hand.

When Su Mo thought of that, he increased his speed again and made one big turn back in the direction of Skeleton Heart Valley.

When Pei Jing saw that Su Mo had increased his speed, he increased his speed as well and followed closely behind Su Mo.

However, he no longer had any confidence of catching up with Su Mo as he could not sustain it for long.

After two more days, if he was unable to catch up with Su Mo, he would have to give up.

Two days passed by quickly.

Pei Jing looked at Su Mo, who was still traveling at a fast speed, and sighed. He could not go after Su Mo any more as the Dark Force in his body had almost depleted.

Although he still had a lot of Elixirs, they were not of much help to him. Without going through the long process of refining them, the Elixirs were impure and they could not sustain him for his flight.

“Su Mo, I wish you good luck!”

Pei Jing shouted helplessly and started to slow down.

“Hohoho! You should have given up long ago!” When Su Mo heard Pei Jing shouting to him, he turned his head and smiled at Pei Jing. He did not reduce his speed but shot far away. Soon, he was nowhere to be seen.

After flying a long distance, Su Mo started to slow down as he had used up so much energy.

He sat cross-legged on the Spiritual Sword and took out some Spiritual Crystals. He absorbed the Spiritual Qi from the Spiritual Crystals and at the same time, continued to press on with his journey.

A few days later, Su Mo was back to Skeleton Heart Valley. The area was empty and no one was around.

When Su Mo saw the Blood Heart Fruit Tree that had fallen onto the center of the valley, he heaved a sigh of relief and broke out into a smile.

The Ancient Demon’s heart was under the Blood Heart Fruit Tree.

When he had activated his Devouring Fighting Soul to get hold of the Blood Heart Fruit earlier, his devouring power had sensed that the Blood Heart Fruit Tree was connected to a treasure deep under the ground and it possessed great power.

As the power was well-hidden in the ground, and with the additional pressure from the area, no one had noticed it.

However, Su Mo’s devouring power was sensitive to all energy and when it surrounded the Blood Heart Fruit Tree, Su Mo immediately sensed it.

The Blood Heart Fruit Tree grew on the Ancient Demon’s heart. It absorbed the nutrients from the Ancient Demon’s heart and bore the Blood Heart Fruit.

When the people entered Skeleton Heart Valley, their heart beat crazily, caused by the Ancient Demon’s heart.

Su Mo flew into Skeleton Heart Valley again and landed on the outer ring.

He had to get to the center in order to get his hands on the Ancient Demon’s heart.

However, this time around, no one was competing with him and thus he could take his time. It was unlike the previous time when he was under tremendous pressure.

Without any hesitation, Su Mo lifted his leg and moved towards the center of the Valley.

Since he had previous experience, Su Mo knew the path to take. After four hours, he was only about 32 kilometers away from the Blood Heart Fruit Tree.

16 kilometers!

Eight kilometers!

Six and a half kilometers!

Five kilometers!

After several hours, Su Mo was five kilometers away from the Blood Heart Fruit Tree.

His speed became slower and his heart was beating so fast that his eyes turned red.

He had activated the Dark Force in his body and the Blood Force Physiques earlier on which had caused his body to shine brightly. After resting for a while to let his body get accustomed to the pressure, Su Mo pressed on.

As time passed, Su Mo got closer to the Blood Heart Fruit Tree and the pressure became more intense.

When Su Mo was only three meters away from the Blood Heart Fruit Tree, blood was already flowing out from his body through his skin. His heartbeat was more than 60 times faster than usual.

For the last three meters, it took four hours to reach the Fruit Tree.

When Su Mo was standing beside the Blood Heart Fruit Tree, he felt the burden being lifted from his shoulders. He was about to get his hands on the Blood Demon’s heart.

He bent down and grabbed hold of the Blood Heart Fruit Tree and pulledhard. However, he noticed that the roots were sturdy and he was unable to pull it up.

Su Mo took out his Golden Holy Sword and started to dig around the roots of the Tree. However, he was frustrated that he was unable to dig it.

The Golden Holy Sword hit the ground as though it had hit a weapon, causing sparks of fire to fly out.

“Is there an array around it?” Su Mo frowned. It seemed to him that he had to depend on his Devouring Fighting Soul to do the job.

He was glad that he had the Devouring Fighting Soul. Without it, it would be impossible for him to accomplish his mission even if he was powerful.

“Devour it!” Without any hesitation, Su Mo activated his Devouring Fighting Soul again and the devouring power engulfed the Blood Heart Fruit Tree that was in front of him.

As the Blood Heart Fruit Tree was engulfed by the devouring power, it shook vigorously and tried to get out of the ground.

However, it seemed stuck and it could not get out.

When Su Mo saw that, he slowly increased the strength of the devouring power and it became stronger and more vigorous.

The devouring power could maneuver any object, especially those that possessed energy.

As the devouring power continued to devour, after a long while, the ground started to let out cracking sounds. The devouring power had broken through the invisible defense power.

Pom! Pom! Pom!

Following that, the ground cracked. Large cracks appeared and covered the entire ground.

The Blood Heart Fruit Tree continued to shake vigorously as it struggled to break away from the ground.

“Devour it!” Su Mo gritted his teeth and persisted. He increased the devouring power and engulfed the entire Skeleton Heart Valley.

At the sound of an explosion, the ground of the entire valley opened up. The ground burst out into bits and pieces and surged toward Su Mo.

A maelstrom appeared on Su Mo’s body and it was like a chasm, devouring everything around him.

The collapsed ground turned into dust and filled up the Nine Heavens, surging crazily toward Su Mo as he devoured it.
