Chapter 1565: The Strength Of The Purple-Gold Insect

Shoosh shoosh shoosh!

Air-rending sounds split the air and in an instant the wide space that housed the Ancient Demon’s Brain became a scene of pandemonium.

Around 200 people dashed out of the space without any concern. It was highly dangerous there and they did not want to wait any longer.

Every additional minute that they were there, the danger increased for them.

“Get lost!”

“Get out of my way!”

“Die!”

Since the exit had been blocked by the 20 Empty Sky Sect disciples, the crowd roared angrily and a few people even attacked the Empty Sky Sect members.

Streaks of Fist Radiance, Sabre Qi and Sword Qi filled the air and gushed towards the Empty Sky Sect disciples.

The Empty Sky Sect disciples were instantly scared speechless and they quickly made way for the crowd to escape.

The crowd dashed out of the wide space as they stepped over a floor of corpses.

On the other hand, another group of stronger martial artists decided to take the risk as they rushed towards the Ancient Demon’s Brain.

A variety of attacks gushed out as the group of martial artists unleashed their attacks even before they reached the Ancient Demon’s Brain.

Their attacks swept out a wave of insects and clashed against the Ancient Demon Brain. The medulla was within the brain and they could only obtain it if they split it open.

In the midst of all the chaos, Su Mo and Li Hentian temporarily halted their fight. The two purple-gold insects that had attacked them did not die and the two insects flew towards them again for a second attack.

“Its defense is so strong?” Li Hentian was stunned. He was completely clear of the strength of his sabre attack previously.

Even a Middle Honorable Weapon could be broken by the attack but he had not even managed to kill a puny insect.

“Die!” As the purple-gold insect flew towards him again, Li Hentian waved his hand once more and the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda instantly zapped towards the purple-gold insect.

Bright radiance shot out of the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda, enveloping the insect within it.

Seven-colored rays of light were directed at the insect and white smoke immediately started to form around its body. Yet, the defense of the insect was incredible and it still did not die under the blinding-hot light.

The purple-gold insect whipped around and escaped the light radiance around it. Then, it flew through the air and headed to Li Hentian’s side.

“What?” Li Hentian turned pale. The strength of the purple-gold insect really exceeded his expectations.

In the blink of an eye, Li Hentian side-stepped and dodged.

Buzz!

A purple-gold ray of light shot past but did not pierce Li Hentian’s face. Instead, it sliced Li Hentian’s ear, causing a stream of blood to trickle down his ear.

“Damn it!” Li Hentian was fuming with rage. What insect was that? How could a mere insect harm him?

On the other side of the wide space, Su Mo was similarly being attacked by the other purple-gold insect. The purple-gold insect was flying towards him from above at an unimaginable speed.

In the blink of an eye, it neared Su Mo’s head.

“Not good!”

Su Mo was also shell shocked. However, he did not fumble around. Instead, he gave a mental thought and mobilised the hundred Natal Spiritual Swords around him to block his head.

Another metallic clang sounded and the air vibrated around him. The purple-gold insect collided with the Natal Spiritual Sword swords and was instantly thrown backward.

At the same time, the few dozen Natal Spiritual Swords that were at the centre of the impact split apart into 8 directions.

Su Mo saw a group of martial artists rushing toward the medulla of the Ancient Demon’s Brain from the corner of his eye. Without hesitation, Su Mo gave up on his fight against Li Hentian and flew towards the Ancient Demon’s Brain.

“Su Mo, where do you think you’re going?” Li Hentian immeditaley flew forward as he retrieved the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda again in preparation for his next attack.

“How annoying!” Su Mo was furious but he was not rash. It wouldn’t be possible for him to kill Li Hentian in the short run. It was more important to obtain the medulla first.

With a mental thought, Su Mo activated the Invisible Fighting Soul and disappeared into thin air.

The use of the Invisible Fighting Soul wasn’t to escape Li Hentian. Instead, he used it while bearing the hope that he could avoid the insect.

As expected, the purple-gold insect lost its target after Su Mo disappeared and in the next instant, it flew towards Li Hentian, its new target.

Li Hentian did not even have time to react as he saw Su Mo disappear. He was still preparing to attack Su Mo when the insect turned towards him. Li Hentian immediately erupted into a cold sweat.

That was because he was under the simultaneous attack of two purple-gold insects.

The insect that was originally attacking Su Mo had changed its target to Li Hentian and, at the same time, the other insect that had cut through his ear headed for Li Hentian again.

The two insects were like sharp arrows that shot through the sky. They attacked him from the right and left directions.

“Darn it!” Li Hentian was completely enraged by now. Clapping his hands together, the Seven-colored Glazed Pagoda instantly expanded to a hundred-foot tall pagoda.

An explosion sounded out that shook the Demon Head Mountain violently.

The Demon Head Mountain was constructed out of an Ancient Demon’s skull and not to mention Li Hentian, even a Martial Sage would not be able to destroy it.

The attack was strong and if it was unleashed in the outside world, it could destroy everything within a one-hundred kilometer radius. However, inside the Demon Head Mountain, the force of the attack was contained.

Finally, the two purple-gold insects were killed by the attack.

At the same time as Li Hentian killed the two purple gold insects, Su Mo rushed towards the Ancient Demon’s Brain with his Invisible Fighting Soul.
