Chapter 1555: Demon Bone

After Yun Youyou left, Su Mo carefully looked at the mountain peak below him.

He was currently healing his injuries by careful refining the Dark Force in him. It would take a few hours for him to fully recover.

The reason why Su Mo was checking through the mountain peak was because there could be an Ancient Demon’s body below that mountain peak. That would explain the large number of Demon Flowers on the mountain.

Furthermore, Su Mo had devoured a large amount of Ghost Qi from the mountain peak but there was still an endless supply of Ghost Qi on the mountain. Hence, Su Mo could deduce that there was a source of the Ghost Qi on the mountain.

The Demon Flowers had already been taken by the other martial artists on the mountain and there wasn’t a single one left.

“The demon’s body should be inside the mountain!”

Su Mo’s eyes glistened and he raised the golden sword in his hand and heavily struck down with it.

Kaboom!

A loud explosion sounded as the sword sliced the mountain. The mountain instantly shook violently as cracks appeared on its surface.

However, despite the uncountable number of cracks on the surface, the mountain did not split open.

“What a strong mountain peak!” A surprised look crossed Su Mo’s eyes. The strength of his attack was enough to destroy an entire medium sized mountain, not to mention this tiny mountain.

The mountain had been corroded by Ghost Qi over many years and it was close to being an incredibly strong and stable demon stone right now.

Su Mo stood upright and raised his sword again. Waving his arms wildly, the sword sliced down numerous times.

Shoosh shoosh shoosh!

Ten streaks of Sword Qi sliced down from the sky, onto the mountain peak.

Boom! Boom! Boom boom!

Booming sounds continued unstoppably as the explosions shook the sky. Under Su

Mo’s relentless attacks, the mountain peak finally gave in and crumbled apart

completely.

In the blink of an eye, the thousand-foot tall mountain was split into pieces as dust spewed out.

The dust dispersed a few moments later. Su Mo looked down and saw a black-colored Demon Bone at the bottom of the mountain.

This Demon Bone was about five feet long and it was about as thick as a grown man’s arm. Age was written all over the Devil Bone and it did not show any sign of newness.

However, Ghost Qi was endlessly dissipating from the Devil Bone.

“An Ancient Demon’s Bone?” Su Mo’s eyes flashed as soon as he saw the Devil Bone. Then he reached out and grabbed the Demon Bone in his hands.

The Demon Bone felt cold and Su Mo could feel a large, dense reservoir of power in the Demon Bone.

“Not bad!” Su Mo chuckled to himself as he kept the Demon Bone. Although it wasn’t an Ancient Demon’s heart, the Demon Bone was also valued highly.

The Demon Bone was hidden under the mountain and under normal circumstances, the Trial Testers would not retrieve it.

This was because there was an invisible array surrounding the Mountain Peak that was very strong. It was very hard to break the array but the moment Su Mo broke it, the Demon Bone would easily fall into his hands.

Shoosh shoosh shoosh!!!

Right at that moment, an air-rendering sound tore through the air.

Raising his head to take a look, Su Mo’s face instantly darkened. Li Hentian and a group of Empty Sky Sect disciples had actually returned.

Su Mo didn’t have to think twice to know that these men were here to kill him.

Without hesitation, Su Mo turned and fled.

At the same time, he released his Spiritual Sword. Travelling on it, Su Mo’s speed reached the speed of light.

Su Mo wasn’t afraid of Li Hentian, but the Pagoda in Li Hentian’s hands was simply too strong. He had no chance to go against it and could only flee.

“Su Mo, you won’t be able to escape!”

Behind him, Li Hentian roared loudly. As Li Hentian waved his hand, the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda appeared and attacked Su Mo again.

The Seven-color Glazed Pagoda was incredibly fast. As fast as the wind, it instantly grew to be a thousand foot tall giant pagoda that split the Empty Space.

This time, Li Hentian had the full intention of killing Su Mo.

Li Hentian did not leave the place at all and only pretended to. In actual fact, he had been waiting 30 kilometers away.

Once he saw that Yun Youyou had left, Li Hentian immediately rushed forward again.

“Damn it!” Seeing that Li Hentian had used the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda again, Su Mo’s heart jumped in fright again. Su Mo immediately switched the direction he was headed and sped off in another direction to avoid the pagoda.

Luckily, he was far from Li Hentian and he managed to avoid being crushed by the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda.

“Darn it!” A killing intent surged in Li Hentian’s eyes and he immediately chased after Su Mo as he retrieved the Seven-Color Glazed Pagoda.

In an instant, a dramatic chase ensued. Su Mo flew off in the front while Li Hentian led a bunch of Empty Sky Sect disciples, chasing him.

However, Su Mo was fast and only Li Hentian could manage to keep up with Su Mo. The rest of the Empty Sky Sect disciples disappeared off in the distance a few breaths later.

“Die!”

In the midst of flying, Li Hentian attacked again. The Seven-color Glazed Pagoda exploded again and attacked Su Mo.

Shoosh!

Su Mo whipped around and changed directions in the blink of an eye, successfully dodging the pagoda.

He was flying very quickly, in an erratic and unpredictable manner. At the same time, he maintained a safe distance from Li Hentian, such that it would be easy for him to dodge any attack.

“Even more slippery than a loach!” Li Hentian raged out. If he didn’t close the distance between him and Su Mo, it would be difficult to land an attack.

At that point, he couldn’t help feeling slightly regretful. He was not composed enough and he should have waited for the prime opportunity to attack.

Only then would he able to ensure a guaranteed hit, such that Su Mo would not be able to escape.

It was not proving a challenge to kill Su Mo.

Yet, Li Hentian wasn’t overly worried. Although Su Mo was fast, Su Mo wasn’t able to run away from him.

Su Mo’s face turned cold. He could not shake off Li Hentian and killing intent was surging in his heart. Su Mo really wanted to stop and fight Li Hentian but he wasn’t rash.

His head spun quickly as he tried to think of an idea to shake Li Hentian off. Su Mo had sufficient resources with him and as long as he had the time, he would definitely be able to break through to the next realm.

As long as he broke through to the next realm, he wouldn’t even be afraid of the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda.

“Su Mo, give me your life!”

Li Hentian roared out again as the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda split the sky and crushed down like a large mountain.

Su Mo’s heart was out of his chest as he used his mental strength to control the Spiritual Sword under his feet, his body swerved again and he managed to dodge the pagoda.

Li Hentian was so mad he was about to puke blood. His control over the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda was simply too weak and his attack could not keep up with the Spiritual Sword under Su Mo’s legs.

“Li Hentian, I will kill you another day!” Su Mo turned his head and shouted out, his voice booming as loud as thunder.

“Another day?”

Li Hentian scoffed and yelled, “Ho you think you can escape?”

Right at that moment, a massive mountain appeared before the two of them and Su Mo’s eyes narrowed.

Ghost Qi surged out of the mountain to the sky and Ghost Force was rolling out in waves. Su Mo could even hear wild roars coming from within the mountain.
