Chapter 1550: Friends？

Yun Youyou and Leng Xie walked over in the sky at a lightning speed. In an instant, they were above the mountain.

Yun Youyou had a cold look in her face. She glanced at Su Mo and then rested her gaze on Li Hentian.

Leng Xie simply looked straight ahead as though this did not concern him.

“Holy Lady, why did you stop me?” Li Hentian asked in a deep voice as he looked at Yun Youyou, his face dark.

From the expression on Yun Youyou’s face and Leng Xie’s face, Li Hentian could tell that it was Yun Youyou who had stopped him from attacking Su Mo.

At the same time, Li Hentian was shocked that Yun Youyou had thrown out such a powerful blow earlier although she was only at Rank 1 Martial Honored Realm.

As the disciple of an Empty God Realm master, Yun Youyou had proven herself worthy to be the Holy Lady!

“Li Hentian, whenever possible, we should show mercy to others and let them off. Why must you kill him?” Yun Youyou said flatly.

“Let him off?”

When Li Hentian heard what Yun Youyou had said, he sneered, “Holy Lady, when Su Mo killed our two Pro-disciples, did he think of letting them off?”

Yun Youyou knitted her brows when she heard that. She knew that Su Mo had killed the Pro-disciples from Empty Sky Sect as she was present when Su Mo had fought with Yang Tiancheng.

However, Yang Tiancheng was the one who had challenged Su Mo and he had asked for it.

Moreover, even if Su Mo was in the wrong, she would not allow him to be killed as he knew about her past and he was an old friend.

“There was a lot of misunderstanding. Yang Tiancheng asked for it and he could only blame himself!” Yun Youyou replied.

“Holy Lady, regardless of whose fault it was, Su Mo cannot be forgiven as he has killed two of our Pro-disciples. Empty Sky Sect will not let the matter rest and I hope that you will not interfere!” Li Hentian said. He had mentioned Empty Sky Sect on purpose.

He wanted Yun Youyou to know that it was not his own intention to kill Su Mo but rather the will of Empty Sky Sect.

Even though Yun Youyou was the Holy Lady, she had no right to interfere.

Li Hentian knew that Yun Youyou had the intention to protect Su Mo and regardless of what he did or said, she would not allow him to kill Su Mo. Thus, he had to specify that it was Empty Sky Sect that wanted to have Su Mo killed.

When Yun Youyou heard what Li Hentian said, her face turned grim. He had a powerful Sacred Weapon with him and if he was out to kill Su Mo, there was no way for her to stop him. She could not protect Su Mo for long!

“Youyou, he is just a nobody in Path Sect. Why are you defending him?”

Leng Xie opened his mouth at that moment and he had a grudging look on his face. He did not understand why Yun Youyou was taking sides with Su Mo.

“He is my friend!” Yun Youyou replied with a frown. She was unhappy with what Leng Xie had said but she knew that it was due to his haughty character.

Yun Youyou said plainly that Su Mo was her friend as she had saved Su Mo and the people would not think that she was trying to show kindness all of a sudden.

By saying that Su Mo was her friend, she could give him some form of protection.

“Friend?” Leng Xie started to squint his eyes. Su Mo looked ordinary but he was Yun Youyou’s friend!

Leng Xie turned his head to look at Su Mo, who was far off, and a ray of cold light flashed across his eyes. It was filled with killing intent.

Earlier on, he had thought that Yun Youyou had saved Su Mo as she did not want anyone to be killed in the area. However, he did not expect her to say that Su Mo was her friend.

That was something for him to think of. According to Leng Xie’s knowledge, Yun Youyou did not have any true friends in Sun Moon Tribe although she had been in the Tribe for many years.

Although many people were wooing her, she had always kept a distance from them. She had never been close to anyone and would not tell anyone who her friends were.

Leng Xie had some feelings for her. After all, she was a great beauty and she had inherited the orthodox practice of Sun Moon Tribe. She was such an amazing lady that every man dreamed of being with her.

He liked Yun Youyou for her beauty!

The disciples from Empty Sky Sect looked gloomy and their hearts sank when they heard that Su Mo and Yun Youyou were friends. If Yun Youyou was out to shield Su Mo, they would not be able to kill him.

“Holy Lady, our Empty Sky Sect is avenging our men. I hope that you will not interfere!” Li Hentian said. He could only persuade Yun Youyou and if she refused to listen to him, he would have to deal with Su Mo at a later time.

After all, Yun Youyou held a special position and he could not afford to offend her.

If he ignored her and went ahead with kilingl Su Mo, he would get himself into hot water as he would get into Sun Moon Tribe in the future.

“That’s right, Youyou! You should not get yourself involved in the feud between Empty Sky Sect and Path Sect. He is a nobody. Why do you let him tarnish your reputation!” Leng Xie agreed with what Li Hentian had said. He had said it in a clever manner, implying that Yun Youyou would be a meddler if she helped Su Mo.

Yun Youyou knitted her brows together when she heard what Leng Xie had said. She had not expected Leng Xie to agree with Li Hentian instead of helping her.

However, she would not let any mishap befall Su Mo as she still had a lot of things that she wanted to find out from him.

“Li Hentian, for my sake, I hope that you will let the matter rest for now!”

Yun Youyou said after she took in a deep breath. She looked at Li Hentian with a firm look that would not allow him to turn her down.

“This…!” When Li Hentian heard what Yun Youyou had said, he was hesitant. Although he was already in a rage, he did not show it.

“All right. Today, I will let him off for your sake. However, it is only for now!”

After a while, Li Hentian nodded unwillingly. Since the Holy Lady had coerced him, he had to give in to her.

However, he would only do so for now. After they were out of this place, he would continue to go after Su Mo’s life.

In any case, he would not allow Su Mo to walk out of the Ancient Demons Cemetery alive.

“Thank you!” When Yun Youyou heard what Li Hentian had said, she cupped her fist at him. She knew that she had put herself in an awkward position for standing up for Su Mo.

He had tried to dissuade her and Li Hentian had requested her not to interfere in the matter, but she still insisted on shielding Su Mo.

Leng Xie felt that Yun Youyou and Su Mo shared a special relationship.

Leng Xie then turned his head around to look at Su Mo, who was far away, and gave him a look of disgust. He then shouted out coldly, “Youyou has saved your life. Come over and bow down to thank her!”

Leng Xie’s voice sounded domineering and he expected Su Mo to do what he had said.
