Chapter 1548: The Seven-color Glazed Pagoda
Li Hentian’s body turned icy cold when he saw the 30 attacks moving toward him. He was shocked and the self-confidence that he had earlier was gone.
He even had the feeling that he would die if he was hit by the attacks.
However, Li Hentian was, after all, a genius. He had a treasured weapon with him and he was not too flustered.
At the crucial moment, he shot upward at lightning speed and, at the same time, a colorful light flashed across his hand, revealing a small pagoda, about one-foot tall.
The pagoda was unique. Its body was green in color and colorful light glittered around it, making it look beautiful.
The pagoda exuded a horrifying aura like that of the sun and it became the center of attraction.
Li Hentian shook his arm and the green pagoda shot out of his hand and headed toward the 30 attacks.
The small pagoda expanded with the wind and in the twinkle of an eye, it expanded several hundred folds and became a huge pagoda.
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
Bright, colorful rays of light suddenly shot out from the base of the huge pagoda and shone on the 30 attacks.
The colorful rays of light exuded a horrifying and mysterious aura. When the light shone on the powerful attacks, the attacks immediately dissipated like snow being melted by the sun.
Suddenly, the 30 attacks had been reduced to half their force. Although the remaining attacks did not dissipate, the strength had been greatly reduced.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
There were loud explosions and the remaining attacks blasted the colorful pagoda.
Swoosh!
The colorful pagoda flew out when it was being hit and it shot up to the firmament. The remaining attacks then exploded.
Tempestuous air billows raged out like angry waves and they swept in all directions. Suddenly, Li Hentian was being thrown out as he was near the air billows.
Pooh!
Li Hentian spurted out a mouthful of blood as he was thrown high into the sky.

All of them widened their eyes, shocked by the sudden change of events.
Tian Lang and the rest of the top powers in the mountain felt nervous. Will Li Hentian be killed by their blow?
Although there were no rules to stop them from killing one another in the Ancient Demons Cemetery, Li Hentian was the most powerful Pro-disciple in Empty Sky Sect. If he was being killed by them, Empty Sky Sect would not let the matter rest.
The disciples from Empty Sky Sect and Bi Qinghan turned ghastly pale when they saw what had happened.
Li Hentian was down on his luck to have encountered such a situation. It made them speechless.
Up in the sky.
Blood flowed from Li Hentian’s mouth, but he was not badly injured.
The pagoda that he had used was known as the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda. It was an Upper Sacred Weapon and it was a highly treasured weapon.
The Seven-color Glazed Pagoda was Elder Hu Sheng’s weapon and its power was mighty.
However, Li Hentian was unable to bring out its full power. When he used it to strike earlier in haste, he had not managed to fend off all the attacks.
However, the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda was, after all, an Upper Sacred Weapon. Although it did not display its full power, the power was still mighty. It had fended off most of the attacks and saved Li Hentian’s life.
Li Hentian quickly stopped himself from flying further and he stretched out his hand. The Seven-color Glazed Pagoda shot back to him and shrunk down speedily.
In the twinkle of an eye, the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda turned into a one-foot pagoda in Li Hentian’s hand.
“Crap!”
Li Hentian shouted, boiling with anger.
No one could remain calm in such a situation.
He had wanted to kill Su Mo but he was being attacked by 30 people for no valid reason. How could he not fly into a rage!
However, he knew that Tian Lang and the other top powers did not mean to attack him. They did not know that he was above the mountain and they were not out to kill him.

The most important task for him at the moment was to kill Su Mo.
“Su Mo, I shall kill you!”
Li Hentian shouted and he moved his body. He was like a ferocious eagle going after its prey as he dashed down, toward the mountain.
On the mountain peak.
Su Mo had already stood up when he saw Li Hentian.
He found it hilarious to see Li Hentian being attacked by the people but when he saw the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda, his face turned grave.
The majestic aura that lingered around the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda and the power that it had displayed earlier caused Su Mo to turn grim.
Anyone could see that the pagoda was unique. It must be a Middle Sacred Weapon or even a higher grade.
Su Mo suddenly had an ominous feeling. It was apparent that Li Hentian had brought the treasured weapon along to kill him.
Thus, when Li Hentian took back the Seven-color Glazed Pagoda and flew toward the mountain peak again, Su Mo immediately shot up to the sky as he wanted to leave.
Although Su Mo was no longer afraid of Li Hentian given his strength, Li Hentian had a treasured weapon with him, thus he felt that it would be wiser for him to leave, as a safety precaution.
The shackles to break through the realm had been loosened and he would be able to breakthrough to Rank 2 Martial Honored Realm a few hours later if he had sufficient Spiritual Qi to back him up.
If he could break through to the next level, his combat strength would move one level up. When that happened, Li Hentian would not be able to do anything to him even if he had the pagoda with him.
“Where are you running to?”
Li Hentian shouted when he saw Su Mo trying to escape. He threw the pagoda and it shot out.
The Seven-color Glazed Pagoda expanded along with the wind and, in an instant, it grew several thousand times bigger. It became a huge, towering Pagoda that was 10 times bigger than it was before.
The speed of the Pagoda was quick. In an instant, it traversed a few thousand miles and was soon above Su Mo. It then pressed down hard toward him.
When the huge Pagoda pressed down, a horrifying aura, similar to that of a thunderbolt, came down from the heavens and it was vast and overbearing.
Holy light shone out from the Pagoda and the majestic aura spread out in all directions.
Colorful rays of light spurted out from the base of the Pagoda again and spread toward Su Mo’s body at a lightning speed.
The rays of light were mighty and so powerful that they could destroy anything that they shone on.
“On no!”
Su Mo was alarmed when he saw the Pagoda pressing down on him and the colorful rays of light shining toward him.
He felt threatened by the colorful rays of light. They seemed to come from the heavens, and there was no way for him to escape from them.
Swoosh!
Without any hesitation, Su Mo moved at a lightning speed to the side to duck away from the attacks.
However, he did not expect the Glazed Pagoda to tilt aside and the colorful rays of light changed direction and continued to shine toward him.
The attacks from the colorful rays of light were quicker than the speed of the Natal Spiritual Sword.
After Su Mo had ducked away from the attacks once, he no longer had a chance to do so again as the colorful rays of light were already getting near him.

Beast
A threat to the galaxy has come from another, and the Union of intelligent life will go to any length to stop it. Military Quarantine has held for hundreds of thousands of cycles. Traders, merchants, colonists, and Pirates live risky lives along the fringes as the politics from the inner systems fail to see the larger threats beyond their borders. A lone human finds himself far from home with no memories to how he arrived. A failing Trade vessel plays on a desperate gamble, while a malicious parasite searches for a suitable host. ............................................. Author's note: Beast is a story that I wrote a long, long time ago. Some of you might have read it then, back when it was posted on reddit over at r/HFY. It was my first webfiction and made in the spirit of that subreddit's "genre" of humanity being awesome. But, it is also a story that has bothered me a little bit. Just like most new writers tend to do, I made mistakes and errors that feel painful to reread. A Space Opera will be a Space Opera, but I had prose that makes present-me cringe. Still, at the same time, the story is still very much a tale I've never given up on. It was my first adventure into fiction: Beast was a crazy adventure with bodysnatching aliens, galactic war, threats from across the universe... Posting this story here is a way to try and redeem myself a bit. I won't call it a complete rewrite, because it's not, but I have wanted to go through and correct some of the major issues Beast has for a long time and put it somewhere more accessible to read (instead of as posts/comments on reddit) and I figure that now is as good a time as any. Additional corrections you might notice are welcome.

Clearly, there must be some dark secret behind the success of these newcomers, and it’s up to the city’s true artists to find out what it is and expose the conspiracy! An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
