Chapter 1497: You Will Be Very Pitiful

The Empty Sky Sect disciples were shocked, and so were the other onlookers. Although Lyu Gang and the True Path Sect disciples didn’t know how strong the Void Wrecking Golden Arrows were, they were startled to see the terrifying attack being blocked by Su Mo.

He didn’t have the patience to continue fighting with Su Mo anymore and decided to end it with this one attack.

Massive auras shot out from Wu Ren’s body and up towards the sky as a dense Arrow Force seemed to materialise before him.

Su Mo readied himself as he saw this and he dared not hold back any power from himself either. Wu Ren’s attack was definitely going to be strong.

Roar roar roar!

Right at that moment, a few demonic creatures roared out from the Demon Domain.

Then, four demonic creatures pounced out from the Demon Domain and rushed towards Su Mo.

These four demonic creatures looked like black, giant apes. Each one of them eluded strong auras and seemed to be at the Rank 1 Martial Honorable Realm.

Since Su Mo was nearest to the Demon Domain, the four demonic creatures rushed towards him.

Before they were even close to him, the four demonic creatures struck one after another as they used their sharp claws to attack Su Mo.

“Go and die!” Without hesitation, Su Mo sliced down with his stone sword. Massive streaks of Sword Qi emerged to kill the demonic creatures.

On the other side, Wu Ren’s eyes flashed upon seeing Su Mo attack the demonic creatures. This was his best chance.

Without hesitating further, Wu Ren immediately let go of the arrows in his hand.

Instantly, three Void Wrecking Golden Arrows shot out at the maximum possible speed. Covering the sky in golden streaks and arrow force, the three arrows headed directly for Su Mo.

These three arrows were aimed directly at Su Mo’s vital spots: his head, chest and abdomen.

It could be said, that if any one of them met their targets, Su Mo body would suffer a heavy blow and it was possible that his body would be completely destroyed.

“What?” Su Mo, drenched in sweat, immediately darkened his face. He had not imagined that Wu Ren would be so shameless.

Su Mo had though that Wu Ren would not attack him while he was occupied with killing the demonic creatures. After all, the demonic creatures had disrupted the fight and it was only polite for the fight to be temporarily halted until they were dealt with.

However, Wu Ren wasn’t concerned about whether the fight was fair not. He took the opportunity of Su Mo attacking the demonic creatures to launch his attack.

With the three black-colored arrows about to hit him, Su Mo activated the Devouring Fighting Soul in the blink of an eye.

In an instant, a strong devouring power rolled out from Su Mo and his body jerked. Su Mo flipped his palm over and sliced down with the stone sword towards the black colored arrows.

The mighty devouring power enveloped over the three black-colored arrows and the four demonic creatures as well as their attacks.

Although the devouring power could not increase Su Mo’s attacking strength, it diminished the strengths of Wu Ren’s and the four demonic creatures’ attacks greatly.

It could be said that Dark Force, Spiritual Qi, Ghost Qi and any other elemental strength could be controlled by the devouring power.

Suddenly, the four demonic creatures felt their bodies shake as the Ghost Qi within them surged uncontrollably. The forces of their claw attacks, which covered the entire sky, were also greatly diminished.

Wu Ren did not speak and instantly retreated backwards after hearing Su Mo’s words. This was because he had not retrieved his three Void Wrecking Golden Arrows.

However, he didn’t just retreat backwards, he also pulled back the string on his bow simultaneously, causing ten gold-colored Dark Force arrows to appear.

Ten arrows filled with malice shot out at Su Mo together.

“Devour!”

Su Mo did not slow down as he activated his Devouring Fighting Soul once again. A massive devouring power quickly erupted from his body and instantly enveloped the entire area a kilometer around him. Thus, surrounding Wu Ren as well.

The retreating Wu Ren could only feel a mysterious force pulling on his body as his body jerked and slowed down. Then, he was bound to the spot, unable to overcome the devouring power. At the same time, the Dark Force in his body started to surge uncontrollably in him.
