Chapter 1479: Pro-disciple
Translator: Larbre Studio Editor: Larbre Studio
After Su Mo had left the palace, he walked down Mount Jin Yang.
Deacon Yin Meng was waiting for him at the foot of the mountain.
“Are you done with it?” When Deacon Yin Meng saw Su Mo coming down the mountain, he was shocked. Su Mo had spent around 15 minutes in total and he was done with his session with Grand Elder Jin Yang.
The one-time off guidance was over in such a short while!
“Deacon Yin Meng!” Su Mo came to Yin Meng and cupped his fist at him.
“Su Mo, I will send you off!” Deacon Yin Meng said as he nodded his head.
When Su Mo heard that, he pondered for a while and asked, “Deacon Yin Meng, can I walk around the Inner Tribe?”
Su Mo wanted to look for Qingxuan and, since he was in the Inner Tribe, he did not want to miss the opportunity to look for her!
“No, you have to leave!” Deacon Yin Meng said as he shook his head. Since Su Mo was not a member of the Inner Tribe, he could not walk around without the permission of the elders.
“All right!” Su Mo said, helplessly, disallowed to stay on.
Deacon Yin Meng then led Su Mo back to the same path that they had taken earlier and soon, they were out of the Inner Tribe and arrived at Sun Moon Tribe.
After they returned to Sun Moon Tribe, Su Mo immediately bid Deacon Yin Meng farewell and left Sun Moon Tribe.
When Su Mo was outside Sky Moon Mountain, he stood in the sky and turned his head around to look at Sun Moon Tribe and sighed.
He had managed to see Qingxuan but he did not have the opportunity to meet up with her in this trip.
However, Su Mo was determined to come back to Sun Moon Tribe again as he believed that he would have the opportunity to do so in the future.
After a while, Su Mo flew across the sky and headed in the direction of Path Sect.
…
A few days later, Su Mo had reached the entrance of Wen Dao Mountain.
After he went back to Path Sect, there was an uproar in the Sect.

“Look, Su Mo is back!”
“Is that Su Mo?”
“He is amazing! He has defeated all the gifted geniuses from the six forces and was in the limelight at Sun Moon Tribe!”
“That’s right. He has brought glory to our Path Sect!”
“This guy looks ordinary but he is so powerful!”
When Su Mo walked up the path of the mountain, the disciples who saw him along the way started to talk about him loudly.
After the disciples who had participated in the Fight meet returned to Path Sect, they had been talking about Su Mo and thus Su Mo became well-known in Path Sect during that period of time.
Everyone knew about Su Mo. He had obtained the number one position in the Fight meet and defeated all the gifted geniuses from the six forces. His performance had created quite a stir in Path Sect.
Everyone was surprised that Su Mo’s cultivation level was only at Rank 8 Martial Emperor Realm.
Su Mo ignored the comments of the disciples and walked back to his courtyard.
He sat in the courtyard and lowered his head to ponder. He was currently penniless. He had used up all his Spiritual Crystals and even the weapons and spoils that he had had been used up at the Pagoda.
He had to look for resources if he wanted to advance to Rank 9 Martial Emperor Realm.
Sage-to-be Zhen Gu had told him that after he came back to Path Sect, he would receive some rewards from the Sect and Su Mo wondered what he would be getting!
When Su Mo was deep in thought, someone knocked at the door. It was Elder Feng Guang.
Su Mo opened the gate and Feng Guang immediately began to rattle on.
“Su Mo, you are finally back. The higher echelons have specially called for a meeting to discuss the rewards for you. They have decided what to give you and I am here to take you to receive your rewards!” Feng Guang looked excited as though he were the one who would be receiving the rewards.
“Oh? What are the rewards that I will be receiving?” Su Mo asked with a smile. He was now short of resources and it would be great if he could have more as his reward.

“Hehe, you will find out soon. Let me bring you to Elder Zhen Gu!” Feng Guang smiled and refused to tell Su Mo.
“Let’s get going then!” Su Mo said. He could not wait to see what rewards Path Sect had prepared for him!
Feng Guang then brought Su Mo to Sage-to-be Zhen Gu’s abode.
Sage-to-be Zhen Gu lived on the peak of Wen Dao Mountain and his palace took up a large area of land. Several Spiritual Herbs were planted around the palace and they formed a lovely courtyard.
As a Sage-to-be, Elder Zhen Gu’s position in Path Sect was second to the six core Holy Elders and thus his palace occupied a large area in the mountain.
When Feng Guang and Su Mo came to his palace, Sage-to-be Zhen Gu was sitting in the courtyard, meditating.
The Spiritual Herbs exuded strong Spiritual Qi and the Spiritual Qi gathered around Sage-to-be Zhen Gu.
Su Mo was shocked when he saw it. The rest of the people swallowed Spiritual Herbs to increase their strength but Sage-to-be Zhen Gu merely absorbed the Spiritual Qi of the Spiritual Herbs.
“Su Mo, you are finally back!”
The moment Su Mo reached the courtyard, Sage-to-be Zhen Gu opened his eyes and a smile broke out on his face.
“Greetings, Elder Zhen Gu!” Su Mo cupped his fist at Sage-to-be Zhen Gu and Feng Guang bowed at him.
“Come, do come in and have a seat!”
Sage-to-be Zhen Gu waved his hand at Su Mo and when he waved his sleeve two Futons appeared in front of him.
Su Mo and Feng Guang then walked into the courtyard and sat on the Futons.
“Su Mo, you have brought glory to Path Sect in this Fight meet. You have contributed a lot to the sect!” Sage-to-be Zhen Gu said with a smile.
“Elder Zhen Gu, you are too kind with your words. As a disciple, it is my responsibility to contribute to Path Sect!” Su Mo replied.
“Great. I am happy that you have such a good attitude!”
Sage-to-be Zhen Gu lifted his head slightly and said, “We have decided on the rewards for you and we hope that you will be happy with them!”
“Elder Zhen Gu, may I know what I will be getting?” Su Mo asked curiously.
“The first reward is Spiritual Crystals. We will give you 1,000 Middle Spiritual Crystals!” Sage-to-be Zhen Gu said with a smile.
“1,000 Middle Spiritual Crystals?” Su Mo was shocked when he heard that. He was elated to know that he would be receiving Middle Spiritual Crystals as he had never seen one before.
The value of a Middle Spiritual Crystal was higher than that of a Lower Spiritual Crystal. One piece of Middle Spiritual Crystal was comparable to 1,000 Lower Spiritual Crystals thus 1,000 Middle Spiritual Crystals would be equivalent to 1,000,000 Lower Spiritual Crystals! This reward was attractive.
“For your second reward, we have decided to let you become a Pro-disciple!” Sage-to-be Zhen Gu said.
Su Mo’s eyes lit up when he heard that. This was indeed a piece of good news!”
Although he was not interested in the position of a Pro-disciple, he could move around Sun Moon Tribe as a Pro-disciple. He had been hoping to be able to do so and the position had helped him meet his objective!
As a disciple at the Martial Honored Realm, one might not even get the position of a Pro-disciple in Path Sect.
There was a limitation to the number of Pro-disciples and age was another restriction. There were many disciples in Path Sect who were at the Martial Honored Realm but only 48 disciples could become Pro-disciples.
Although Su Mo was only at Rank 8 Martial Emperor Realm, an exception had been made for him to become a Pro-disciple.
After he had become a Pro-disciple, he would have no problem getting into Sun Moon Tribe.
For the ordinary disciples, they had to be accompanied by the sect’s higher echelons if they wanted to go to Sun Moon Tribe. If no higher echelons brought them in, they were not allowed to enter.
If not for the Fight meet, the ordinary disciples would not even have the opportunity to get into Sun Moon Tribe.
Since Su Mo had become a Pro-disciple of Path Sect, he could move around Sun Moon Tribe any time he wished.
Su Mo was elated. Although he could only move around the Outer Tribe of Sun Moon Tribe, it would help him greatly in his plan.

The story starts off slowly, more like a slice of life than action-adventure, but it gets there! I’m going to be posting M-W-F I do know how the story ends, and I promise if it ever gets dropped, or I stop doing this, I will post the ending. There will be no random “this is the last chapter” out of the blue. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Silver Mana - Book 1: Initiate
I used to be a healthy, young guy with a normal life - I had a career planned in professional soccer, a girlfriend, lots of hobbies, and loads of fun. Until the accident. Which changed my life. A few years later I had adjusted to my new reality, adjusted to being in a wheelchair, adjusted to having someone take care of me 24/7. And then the world changed. Old people and kids did not make it. And neither was I supposed to make it. But never count me out. If anything, I am tenacious. This new world was different. People could do magic. And there were monsters. And what about me? I had mana as well, silver mana. Which no one else seemed to have. The only problem was, I did not know what to do with it. Until I really needed to. Author's note: This is the rewrite of Silver Mana. The first bunch of chapters (until I will have caught up to level 2 of the dungeon) should be quite familiar to people that have read the original. There are some changes in content, but the story follows the original fairly closely for at least the first 150-200 pages. Most of the changes are in the writing, and some of the details of how things work. A few of the side characters get a bit more attention too. Some general comments to avoid disappointment: 1. The MC likes to swear. If you object to reading the word "fuck" at least once and usually multiple times each chapter don't read the book. "Fuck" is such a great, allencompassing word... fuck that; what the fuck?; fuck me! Fuck! one word, expressing so many nuances. And, frankly, the people I know that use fuck as a swear word.. they often use it a lot. 2. If you are looking for immediate progression, rapid advancement of the story, etc.... read another book. This one takes a bit. 3. I am NOT Pirateaba (who is writing The Wandering Inn) or anyone close to that level of productivity. If you expect to read 10k words every 3 days, or even just once a week... sorry. I've got a busy life. This is for fun, I have no patreon, paypal, anything, so I write when it is fun and however much is fun. Not more. And sometimes that turns out to be a decent amount, sometimes nothing. I have another book (Marrow) so that complicated things - basically I switch between the two whenever the muse strikes me.
