Chapter 1466: I Am Afraid You Won’t Be Able To Play A Song Anymore
Translator: Larbre Studio Editor: Larbre Studio
After he had defeated You Lang, Su Mo’s face remained calm and as he turned his head around to look at Yun Youyou, he realised that she was also looking at him.
Smiling lightly with no hidden meaning, Su Mo flew back to the stands.
He wouldn’t be like Yang Tiancheng who did not reserve himself at all and preserve his dignity. It would be better for him to proceed gradually in this matter. There was no need to rush things.
Yun Youyou lightly nodded her head in response to Su Mo’s smile. She was pleased with Su Mo’s calm and cool character. Of course, it was just a pleasant feeling that she felt.
Compared to Yang Tiancheng who was so brutally honest, Su Mo’s character made her more comfortable.
At that moment, the defeated You Lang shifted back to his original body. His face flushed pale and red and he looked as though he couldn’t accept the fact that he had lost, like he refused to accept it.
You Lang was humiliated in so many peoples’ eyes by a martial artist who was ranked lower than him. A sense of disgrace hit his back like a wave and he stood rooted to the spot, unsure of what to do.
“You Lang, come back!” Sage-to-be Sen Lang of the Roaring Sky Wolf Tribe ordered You Lang back.
You Lang could only heave a long sigh before flying back to the stands.
In the following moments, no other challenges continued on the fighting ring as everyone was engaged in a heated discussion about Su Mo. Many thought that he had a chance of obtaining the first-ranked position in the fight meet.
After all, defeating You Lang meant that Su Mo was practically unmatched among all the Martial Emperors already.
The other top geniuses of the superpowers couldn’t help their hearts falling as they silently recognized Su Mo as their greatest enemy for the first rank position.
It was only after a long while later, after the chaos around Su Mo and You Lang finally died down, that other challengers continued the battles on the fighting ring.
Su Mo also received special treatment after he defeated You Lang and returned to the stands. Sage-to-be Zhen Gu specially invited Su Mo to sit beside him.

“Su Mo, when did you enter the True Path Sect?” Sage-to-be Zhen Gu smiled warmly at Su Mo and asked. He was also suspicious of Su Mo. Logically speaking, a top genius like Su Mo wouldn’t have been hiding in the shadows until now!
“I recently joined the sect… probably only a month or two ago!” Su Mo replied.
“I see!” Sage-to-be Zhen Gu exclaimed in realisation. No wonder Su Mo wasn’t known before this – he had only just joined the sect.
Recalling that Su Mo was personally recommended by Saint Zhen Xian, Sage-to-be Zhen Gu realised that Su Mo was someone that Saint Zhen Xian had personally recruited into the sect. It was highly probable that Saint Zhen Xian had figured out Su Mo’s talents.
“With your talents and strength, it will be very easy for you to become a Pro-disciple in the future!” Sage-to-be Zhen Gu said.
“Mm!” Su Mo nodded his head.
“If you are placed first in the fight meet, not only will you be able to obtain rewards from the Sun Moon Tribe, the sect will also reward you heavily when you return!” Sage-to-be Zhen Gu smiled.
Su Mo’s heart stiffened slightly upon hearing this. He wasn’t interested in rewards. All he wanted was to be able to get closer to Qing Xuan.
“Sage-to-be Zhen Gu, if I am placed first, will I be able to frequently go to the Sun moon Tribe?” Su Mo asked in a deep voice. Su Mo wondered if he would be recruited into the Sun Moon Tribe by placing first in the fight meet.
“That is not possible!”
Sage-to-be Zhen Gu shook his head and said, “you will only have the chance to enter the Sun Moon Tribe if you become a Pro-disciple. And, furthermore, you will only be in the outer tribe!”
“Then how about the inner tribe?” Su Mo frowned. It was useless if he was only able to enter the outer tribe. Qing Xuan was the Holy Lady and she would definitely be in the inner tribe.
Sage-to-be Zhen Gu threw a side glance at Su Mo. He knew that Su Mo wanted to enter the Sun Moon Tribe. That wasn’t particularly surprising. After all, the Sun Moon Tribe was a dominating force in the Ming Xu Galaxy. Who wouldn’t want to enter it!

“When your cultivation rank is sufficiently high in the future, you will naturally get the opportunity to enter the inner tribe!” Sage-to-be Zhen Gu explained. The top disciples of the seven superpowers would be recruited into the Sun Moon Tribe in the future. A genius like Su Mo would not be an exception.
“Mm!” Su Mo nodded as he sighed to himself. It seemed like it wasn’t going to be easy to enter the inner tribe of Sun Moon Tribe.
Su Mo and Sage-to-be Zhen Gu continued to exchange a few casual sentences from which Su Mo managed to gather a good amount of information.
As they causally conversed, battle after battle ended on the fighting ring.
The top geniuses of the superpowers also fought in the fighting ring. All of them defeated their opponents with a single strike, surprising many onlookers.
Perhaps they were spurred on by Su Mo. These godly geniuses did not wish to be overpowered by Su Mo and hence they displayed their top powers.
The third round finally ended after a long while later.
With three rounds over, those who were defeated three times were all automatically eliminated.
Around 70% of the contestants had been eliminated and around 400 were left.
“The fourth round will now begin!”
As the brown robed elder made his announcement, the fourth round officially began.
Su Mo stood up and took a step out to fly directly down into the fighting ring. He was the first person to make a challenge.
The crowd was surprised as they didn’t expect a genius like Su Mo to be the first person up for a challenge.
As he landed on the fighting ring, Su Mo turned in the direction of the Empty Sky Sect disciples. Then, his gaze stopped at Yang Tiancheng.
“Yang Tiancheng, it will be you!” Su Mo light-heartedly announced. The reason why he stepped up first was so that he could challenge Yang Tiancheng.
If Yang Tiancheng stepped up first, Su Mo would not be able to challenge him anymore.
Therefore, Su Mo decided to be the first to challenge for that round.
This man had actually confessed to Qing Xuan in front of everyone and also come up with such a horrible poem. This infuriated and annoyed Su Mo.
Su Mo was actually very domineering. He had a deep relationship with Qing Xuan and he would not allow anyone else to chase after Qing Xuan.
The moment Su Mo’s words fell, the entire scene went into an uproar again as his decision was outside of anyone’s expectations.
Normally, the top geniuses would wait until the last few rounds of the fight meet before they challenged each other.
The main objective was to accumulate points and, at the end of the main rounds, the godly geniuses would all have the same points. That would be the time where they started challenging each other.
This was because the only way to obtain the first rank would be to defeat the others with the same points as them.
However, the fight meet had only just begun and Su Mo actually wanted to challenge Yang Tiancheng!
Yang Tiancheng’s eyes narrowed the moment he heard Su Mo’s words. However, upon thinking it over, Yang Tiancheng understood Su Mo’s reasoning.
It seemed like Su Mo hadn’t stepped up to make a challenge during the first round. And hence his total points was lower than the other geniuses. It made sense that Su Mo would want to challenge the other top geniuses now to establish his lead early on.
“What an interesting thought!” Yang Tiancheng coldly scoffed. He had to obtain the first ranking for this fight meet. No one was allowed to steal that position from him. with that, Yang Tiancheng’s body flashed and he flew down onto the fighting ring.
“Holy Lady, this is my fourth challenge!” Yang Tiancheng cupped his fists towards Yun Youyou and smiled warmly.
Yun Youyou nodded her head helplessly. Yang Tiancheng always reported to her every time he fought. This made her feel uncomfortable and awkward.
“Holy Lady, I specially wrote a poem for you previously. I will play a song for you later and I hope you will like it!” Yang Tiancheng grinned. He had remained silent previously because he was secretly composing a song. He was ready now.
Su Mo was speechless. Disgusting. This guy was such a weird man. If he wasn’t busying himself with writing poems, he was composing songs. Was he there to participate in the fight meet or what? He must be attending some talent competition!
“Sorry to say this but I am afraid you won’t be able to play songs once I’m done with you!” Su Mo shouted out calmly.

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.

Et Non Lucem
A lonely fortress, a (slightly) deranged assassin, secrets, intrigue, magic and war. What could possible go wrong? If you've ever wondered what would happen if somebody attempted to blend a realistic medieval world with fantasy, then this is for you. If you've ever wondered what happens when you stick some (extremely) flawed humans into positions of power and try making them save the world, then this story is for you. Or if you're simply bored and can't seem to decide on a new story to read, then this story is for you! This is my first ever attempt at writing a story after years and years of reading, so any and all constrictive criticism is appreciated!

(un)Lucky
After dying on his hospital bed, Jack is surprised to once again regain consciousness. Turns out he’s in purgatory where he learns that God has been pretty into gaming lately… you already know where this is going, don’t you? Yeah, yeah, I know, another LitRPG story like many others. SO original… But why then do we keep reading them and looking for more? The answer, for me at least, is because they’re usually just plain fun. That’s all I hope my story can be: fun. No fixed releases for now, nor any future plans. I’m just trying to enjoy my time writing it. Btw, the cover is something random I did and has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Don’t ask me why.

Life is Feudal
No OP stuff, status bars, levels or skills. This story is in favour of more realistic setting in a world of humans and various monsters. "Behind the mask of the assertive, resolute facade that employs ruthless routes at any given moment, lies the frail, anxious heart that were once but a puny human. Reviled and revered by many, none would ever know my true allegiance lies within myself, merely trying to survive this mess." Just the life of a grumpy man child living in a terrible piece of shit or a desolate state in which I call an alternate historical take on medieval Europe. Living as a peasant who is forced to take up arms to defend his own kin. This story grants an insightful take on the life of people living under constant danger, from vying nobles who commit atrocities in the name of justice, eager nations and barbarians aiming to take a piece of the bountiful land and mythical divine monsters who resembles a walking catastrophe in any possible way. [If you're easily offended by alternate-history religion and cultural practices, then you shouldn't read this.]
