What made Su Mo dismayed was that he had to pay additional Spiritual Crystals upon arriving at the second floor.

It was no wonder that there were so few people in the Imperial Pagoda despite the large population of Sun Moon City. Regular martial artists would not be able to afford this hefty sum.

Luckily, the additional price per hour that he had to pay dropped on the second floor. It was charged at 100 Lower Spiritual Crystals for every hour. For the two days that he would be spending there, he had to pay an additional 2400 Lower Spiritual Crystals.

Su Mo paid with a few weapons. Then, he followed Feng Guang up to the third floor.

On the third floor, Su Mo continued to pay another 2400 Lower Spiritual Crystals while Feng Guang paid slightly higher.

“Su Mo, it is more worth it to go up to the higher floors. I am heading up to the ninth floor, you decide for yourself!” Feng Guang informed Su Mo. Since he was a Rank 6 Martial Honourable, it would only be useful for him if he cultivated on the ninth floor. The lower levels were too lousy for him.

“I will also head up to the ninth floor!” Su Mo said in a serious tone as his eyes flashed. As he headed up to the second and third floors, he had already felt the difference in their effects.

The more he headed up, the more dense the mist in the pagoda. This wasn’t Spiritual Qi but every breath he took made him feel calm and lifted. Even his Spiritual Soul that had been damaged was quickly recovering.

This was really a treasured place for him and hence he would head up to the ninth floor despite having to pay a pricier sum.

If he missed this opportunity today, he may not have it again in the future.

Feng Guang nodded his head before he continued upwards with Su Mo.

Not long later, the two arrived at the ninth floor and Su Mo had spent around 43,000 Lower Spiritual Crystals, including the first 24,000 Lower Spiritual Crystals he had spent on the first floor.

Of course, he had used his weapons to pay for the entire sum, losing almost half of the weapons he had with him.

Scanning through the floor, Su Mo realised there was very few people here, only about 30 in total.

Lin Huang, Lu Gang and Tang Gu were also here. Aside from them, Yan Huo from the Black Flame Tribe and a few other Black Flame Tribesmen were here.

Yan Ho and his gang had entered the pagoda earlier and had arrived at the pagoda before him.

However, Yan Huo’s group did not fight with Lu Gang’s group again. Instead, they were closing their eyes and quietly cultivating in one corner .

The price they paid to cultivate here was large. They wouldn’t waste their time bickering with someone else.

Aside from those two groups, Su Mo also saw a few others from the other superpowers. For instance, there were men from the Roaring Sky Wolf Tribe and men from the Shining Spiritual Tribe.

The Roaring Sky Wolf Tribe was a demon tribe and their original forms were Lunar Werewolves. They had evolved to become more human-like, but were still largely different from regular humans now.

The Roaring Sky Wolf Tribesmen had large, tall bodies which were mostly taller than 9 foot. Thick hair lined their bodies, causing them to appear dark.

On the other hand, the Shining Spiritual Tribesmen were easy to recognise as they were all very short. No taller than 5 foot long, they were similar to the Blood Pupil Tribesmen on Red Millet Star.

However, no one dared to underestimate this tribe as it was the strongest superpower amongst the seven superpowers.

Besides the Roaring Sky Wolf Tribesmen and the Shining Spiritual Tribesmen, there were around ten others on the ninth floor. They could either be men from the other superpowers or men from Sun Moon City.

At that moment, everyone was sitting down cross legged and cultivating, as though they were old monks.

Feng Guang arrived at the ninth floor and quickly walked to a corner to cultivate.

“What a wonderous place!”

Su Mo observed the space. Thick, dense waves of mist caused his body to feel as though it was floating on clouds. He felt very peaceful and calm.

Then, Su Mo did not waste any more time before walking to one side and sitting down cross-legged.

Closing both his eyes, he lightly activated the Devouring Fighting Soul and began to refine his Devouring Ultimacy.

Here he felt as though his willpower had increased by a rank and with the lifting of his heart and mind, it was more effective when he refined his ultimacy and trained his martial skills.

As he continued to refine the Ultimacy, Su Mo managed to develop a deeper understanding and comprehension of it.

Time passed by slowly and Su Mo seemed to have forgotten everything else. He was completely absorbed in refining his Ultimacy.

His willpower had increased with the aid of the mysterious forces of this place. Ten hours later, his Devouring Ultimacy had reached the peak of the first rank and it was close to being complete.

After three more hours, it reached the completion stage.

Then, it broke through to the second rank a few moments later.

With his Ultimacy at the second rank, Su Mo’s strength increased many times. This was a very good boost for when he activated the Devouring Fighting Soul.

However, once the Ultimacy entered the second rank, the speed of its refinement decreased by a lot. Spending close to 7 and 8 hours, Su Mo only managed to push it to the beginning of the second rank and then the middle.

Precious time flew by quickly and just as Su Mo had gotten thoroughly absorbed in his refinement, the badge on his body suddenly vibrated.

Two days, twenty-four hours were up!

Su Mo opened his eyes slowly, feeling helpless. It would have been great if he could have stayed a few more days. However, he was running out of weapons.

Furthermore, the Fight Meet would take place the next day and he had no more time to waste.

At that moment, Lu Gang, Lin Huang and Yan Huo slowly opened their eyes. They had stayed for the same period of time as Su Mo, cultivating here for two days.

“Yan Huo, I will show what we are worth at tomorrow’s Fight Meet!” Lu Gang coldly said to Yan Huo as he rose up and strode out.

Lin Huang and Tang Gu threw a side glance at Yan Huo, their battling spirits flashing through their eyes. However, they did not speak and walked out swiftly afterwards.

“Bunch of ants, and they still dare to be arrogant. I will make sure those True Path Sect disciples suffer a terrible defeat!” Yan Huo stared at the backs of the three and coldy laughed.

“What’s wrong Yan Huo? The True Path Sect people offended you?”

At that moment, a Roaring Sky Wolf Tribesman opened his eyes and lightly asked.

This young man was tall and burly, and his entire body was covered in a thick coat of hair. Like a wild wolf, his short hair stood up like steel needles that gave out a dazzling black radiance.

“Mo Lang, these True Path Sect people are not even strong but they still dare to be so arrogant!” Yan Huo laughed. He had known this Roaring Sky Wolf Tribe young man since long ago. Although they couldn’t be considered friends, they were familiar with each other.

“He he! The True Path Sect Disciples aren’t worth of mentioning!”

Mo Lang coldly laughed before he turned to look at the Shining Spiritual Tribesmen in one corner. A cold flash passed through his eyes. His goal this time was to defeat the strongest geniuses of the Shining Spiritual Tribesmen.

Su Mo glanced coldly at Yan Huo and Mo Lang. These two were insulting the True Path Sect disciples right in front of his face.

Of course, he was only a Rank 8 Martial Emperor and it was possible that the two did not even know he was going to participate in the Fight Meet as a True Path Sect Disciple.
