Chapter 1394: Disappeared!
Translator: Larbre Studio Editor: Larbre Studio
Shoosh! Shoosh!!
Streaks of Sword Qi split the sky and struck heavily against the mass of skeleton warriors.
Ah! Ah! Ah!!
As the skeleton warriors saw this, they did not retreat backwards, but instead raised the large swords in their hands to strike against the three coloured Sword Qi.
Dong! Dong! Dong!!
Explosions sounded unstoppably and the heavens shook. These skeleton warriors were not weak and almost every single one of them had the strength of a regular Rank 9 Martial Emperor. With their combined force, they immediately tore the Sword Qi apart. Then, they continued to rush towards Su Mo at the same speed.
“Very strong indeed!” Su Mo mumbled to himself. Then, he took a step back and attacked again. Raising the long sword in his hands, dazzling radiance shot up into the sky and transformed into an invisible sword shadow that then morphed into a massive void. This time, Su Mo activated 10 Sword Fighting souls, pushing the sword force of his body to its limit, as though he had become the sword itself.
“Destroy!”
With a single comman, the sword radiance in Su Mo’s hands exploded out and rushed forward.
Shoosh!
Blinding sword radiance swept through the skies, destroying everything in its path. The force of it was unmatched and the radiance spread over kilometer wide, causing the hairs of the onlookers to stand straight up on their heads.
Boom boom boom!!
This one slash had massive destructive power. Among the thousands of skeleton warriors, half were sliced apart by the sword radiance and instantly shattered into bones that rained down from the skies.
“What is this?” Right at that moment, Su Mo’s face changed. The skeleton warriors that had been sliced apart were somehow revived, their bones reassembling themselves together again.
These skeleton warriors actually couldn’t die!
Up in the skies, Wu Shang wore a cold smile as he witnessed this scene. Then, he raised the Honourable Soul Banner in his hands again. In an instant, cold winds blew and another thousand skeleton warriors flew out from the Honourable Soul Banner towards Su Mo. Two thousand skeleton warriors were now out and a dense and heavy deathly aura filled the air. Chilling winds roared out and foreshadowed a scene of doom.

Su Mo continued to retreat backwards and he quickly reached the boundary of the green platform. As he stared at the mass of skeleton warriors before him, he quickly swept his mind for ideas. These skeleton warriors could not be killed, attacking them would therefore be senseless. If he wanted to destroy them, he could only use the Devouring Fighting Soul.
There were so many skeleton warriors and he worried that there were more within the Honourable Soul Banner, so if he wanted to devour them completely, he had to release Devouring Fighting Soul. However, it might be too shocking if he released his Devouring Fighting Soul, perhaps it was best if he didn’t reveal it.
As for these skeleton fighting souls, he wouldn’t have to fight them at all. If they couldn’t pinpoint his location, then he wouldn’t be under any threat.
With a single thought, an invisible aura rushed out from Su Mo and instantly covered his entire body. In the next moment, Su Mo had disappeared.
Once he vanished, the skeleton warriors immediately stopped. Standing rooted to their spots, they seemed at a loss at what to do.
“Eh? Where is he?” Wu Shang’s eyes bulged out from his head. He saw it with his own eyes. How could Su Mo disappear all of a sudden?
As for the onlookers who witnessed this scene, whether it was the geniuses in the True Sage Territory or those outside of it, they too were stunned. They quickly scanned the entire stage and couldn’t find a trace of Su Mo.
Su Mo, how could he just have vanished into thin air? Everyone was clueless. What was going on? Was it an invisible skill or was it a Fighting Soul’s ability?
It seemed as though a Fighting Soul had appeared from the wave of invisible air that escaped Su Mo’s body. Could it be a special Fighting Soul?
“A fighting Soul?” the Grand Priest squinted his eyes at the thin, empty air as he muttered to himself. When Su Mo had vanished, he could feel the forces of a Fighting Soul at work from the virtual plane.

However, this didn’t seem to be a Fighting Soul! When Su Mo defeated Wu Ren Wang, he had used a devouring power. That was the true work of a Fighting Soul!
Furthermore, the sword force that exploded from Su Mo just now was something that could not be achieved from a single Sword Fighting Soul. At the minimum, he required four Sword Fighting Souls to have such a strong force. Did this mean that Su Mo possessed six Fighting Souls? The Devouring Fighting Soul, an invisible Fighting Soul, and four Sword Fighting Souls!? However, was that even possible?
The Grand Priest silently shook his head. Six Fighting Souls? This was not possible!
“It must be a special weapon!” the Grand Priest convinced himself, guessing that Su Mo had some special treasure on him that enabled him to use many abilities of Fighting Souls.
He had seen a treasure like this a long time ago. It was similar to the treasure that Su Mo ‘possessed’. Yet at this point, the group that was the most surprised was the Shen Wu Academy disciples.
As they witnessed Su Mo’s vanishing act on the stage, they were full of wonder. This invisible skill, why was it so similar to Lin Wuying’s Shadowless Fighting Soul? Looking at the scene just now, it seemed to be the exact same skill!
“How could this be?” The Shen Wu Academy disciples wore blank and confused looks. Su Mo possessed the Shadowless Fighting Soul? Is that possible? How could such a coincidence happen? However, if it wasn’t the Shadowless Fighting Soul, what could it be?
Everyone was utterly confused. Yet, at this point, the one who was most surprised was Su Mo’s challenger, Wu Shang. He hovered up in the sky. He had activated his willpower and seeking force to its peak and tried to use it to scan through the green platform. He scanned through the green platform as well as the area a kilometer away from him. However, he could not feel Su Mo. His opponent seemed to have vanished into thin air.
Nonetheless, as a Rank 9 Martial Emperor, his willpower force was still strong and he could vaguely feel that Su Mo was still present. He felt his enemy slowly creeping up on him.
He concentrated hard and activated the Dark Force on his body to flow through his palms in preparation for an attack at any moment. Then, he waved the Honourable Soul Banner in his hands and the skeleton warriors returned to him to form a wall that protected him on all four sides.
Not only were the skeleton warriors protecting him, Wu Shang had also activated all the Dark Force in his body to form a large protective array around him. Only with these protections did Wu Shang finally relax.
Wu Shang was not afraid of Su Mo’s attack, but he did not know Su Mo’s location. To prevent a sneak attack up on him, Wu Shang could only do these protective measures.
Everything seemed to have stopped. Wu Shang and the 2,000 skeleton warriors were fully prepared. Yet, Su Mo still did not show himself. Around the green platform, the other onlookers were trying valiantly to find Su Mo. Aside from Jiang Shenye, no one else could figure out his location.
As for Jiang Shenye, if he used his willpower to sense, he could only vaguely guess where Su Mo was hiding, but he couldn’t pinpoint the exact location.
Suddenly, a starlight radiance flashed through Jiang Shenye’s eyes and he could clearly see that Su Mo was currently standing right in front of one of the skeleton warriors, his body covered in an invisible aura.
“Amazing!” Jiang Shenye silently marvelled. Su Mo actually had such a special Fighting Soul. If it wasn’t for his own Starlight eyes power, he would not have been able to figure out Su Mo’s location.
