Chapter 1393: Forbidden Sorcerer Skill
Not far away from the green platform, Wu Shang hovered in mid air. Once he heard Su Mo’s words, he was mildly surprised before his lips curved into a sinister smile.
He had not even had the opportunity to challenge someone and Su Mo had decided to challenge him first. What bravery!
This was also good. He could deal with Su Mo first and then casually challenge others for the rest of his turns.
Shoosh!
With a step, Wu Shang flew forth and landed a few hundred metres away from Su Mo on the green platform.
“Su Mo, you are indeed strong but you must still die!” Wu Shang coldly said as he glared at Su Mo.
“Okay, enough with the nonsense. I am tired of hearing those words!” Su Mo grumbled impatiently. Why did everyone in this world have this attitude? They hadn’t even won yet but still acted as though they were the victors.
Not only Firmament World, or this universe. Everyone who battled with him was similar. He had heard those words so much so that it felt like worms would crawl out of his ear.
Upon saying those words, Su Mo instantly attacked first. He waved the sword in his hand and struck towards Wu Shang.
This strike was only Su Mo’s test. However, its strength was very strong as he had secretly activated 5 types of Sword Fighting Souls.
Shoosh!
A dazzling, three-coloured Sword Qi that stretched over 10000 feet shot through the air as light colours spread out over the skies.
The Sword Qi split the space, eluding the startling and massive forces it carried while heading directly for Wu Shang.
“Don’t know your death!”
Wu Shang squinted his eyes as a flash passed through them. Then, he clapped his palms in front of him.
Dong dong dong!!!
The space in front of him immediately shook and a large Dark Force Palm Print the size of a small hill appeared and moved towards the three coloured Sword Qi.
This Dark Force Palm Print was very life-like, as though it was a real palm. Massive forces that seemed to be able to topple mountains and part seas were harboured in it as the aura that it carried rolled out in waves around it. Its force was one to be feared.

In an instant, the huge palm print and the three coloured Sword Qi struck against each other.
Boom!
A deafening explosion shook the skies as the palm print and the Sword Qi shattered apart into waves of force that swept through the sky.
“Very strong indeed!”
Wu Shang lightly laughed before he stomped down on his feet and rushed up into the air.
With the blow just now, he had estimated the strength of Su Mo. If he didn’t use his ultimate skill, he would probably need quite a lot of time to defeat Su Mo.
Shoosh!
In a flash, Wu Shang rose up over 10000 feet into the air. A tall, black-coloured flagpole appeared in his hands and a black banner hung from the flagpole. Both the banner and flagpole were dyed jet black, giving out a mysterious and sinister aura.
“Su Mo, when I say that you will die, you will die!” Wu Shang yelled out loudly as the killing intent in his eyes exploded.
“Honourable Soul Banner!” The moment Su Mo saw the black banner on Wu Shang’s hands, his eyebrows jumped. He had searched the souls of Wu Chen and a few other Sorcerer Tribesmen. Hence, this Honourable Soul Banner was not unfamiliar to him.
This Honourable Soul Banner was a treasured weapon of the Sorcerer Tribe. Only the leaders of the tribe, including the priests, core elders and young priests etc. had the privilege of using this special weapon.
Of course, different Honourable Soul Banners would have different ranks and different powers. Wu Shang’s Honourable Soul Banner was definitely weaker than the Grand Priest’s Soul Banner.
The cultivation method of the Honourable Soul Banner mostly relied on Martial and Fighting Souls, and most importantly, the martial artist’s life.
It could be said that every Honourable Soul Banner required the sacrifice of numerous lives.
When the Sorcerer Tribe disciples went to the Firmament World for their training previously, their goal was precisely to obtain expert Marital and Fighting Souls to enhance the Honourable Soul Banners in the tribe.
If it wasn’t for Su Mo, who had defeated those Sorcerer Tribe geniuses previously, numerous martial artists would have died. Of course, the Firmament World regrettably no longer existed.
As for the small worlds that the Sorcerer Tribe controlled, there were a few thousand other small worlds besides the Firmament World.

These small worlds were where the Sorcerer Tribe members obtained their Martial and Fighting Souls. They contributed to the vast resources of Martial and Fighting Souls for the Sorcerer Tribe.
Virtually all of the small worlds were farms for souls for the Sorcerer Tribe. Compared to the other small worlds, the Firmament World could even be considered better off.
This is because in those other small worlds, their martial artists were born for the purpose of being killed and having their souls taken away to be a resource for the Honourable Soul Banner.
It was a secret as to how the Honourable Soul Banner was made. Even higher ups in the Sorcerer Tribe were not sure how it was made, and only the priests and those with a higher status knew the way of making the Soul Banner.
As for the power of this Honourable Soul Banner, Su Mo remembered that it was very strong, maybe even terrifying.
“It is the Honourable Soul Banner!”
“It seems that Wu Shang is using the Sorcerer Tribe’s Forbidden Sorcerer Skill!”
“Su Mo is in trouble now!”
Once the crowd saw Wu Shang’s Honourable Soul Banner, regardless of whether they were in the True Sage Territory or not, they all jumped in surprise and there were even a few who shrieked out.
The Honourable Soul Banner was a forbidden skill of the Sorcerer Tribe. Wu Shang taking the Honourable Soul Banner out means that he was going to use the Forbidden Sorcerer Skill.
The threat and power of the Sorcerer Tribe’s Forbidden Sorcerer Skill was well known throughout the Ancientspirit Galaxy since ancient times. It was the ultimate move of the Sorcerer Tribe.
However, this Forbidden Sorcerer Skill was very hard to cultivate. It was rumoured that it was a few times harder to cultivate than normal martial skills.
Even if Wu Shang only cultivated the easiest of the Forbidden Sorcerer Skills, as long as he could execute it, his powers would increase exponentially and reach a terrifying level
At that moment, almost 90% of the onlookers thought that Su Mo would definitely die. Even if Su Mo was strong, he would probably not be able to defend himself against the Forbidden Sorcerer Skill, right?
Su Mo’s face instantly hardened. Of course he knew how strong the Forbidden Sorcerer Skill was. In actual fact, he had the opportunity to learn this Forbidden Sorcerer Skill when he became the Young Priest previously. He just didn’t want to learn it.
Furthermore, he had other goals back then and he didn’t want to waste time cultivating the skill.
Su Mo concentrated hard but he wasn’t the least bit afraid. Although the Forbidden Sorcerer Skill was strong, it was still dependent on the skill of the user.
Even if Wu Shang used the Forbidden Sorcerer Skill, how terrifying could it be?
At that point, Wu Shang hovered high in mid air and he muttered a string of chants before the Honourable Soul Banner in his hand lightly swayed.
Shoosh!
Then, black light shot out from the Honourable Soul Banners as a ton of skeleton warriors gushed out from the Soul Banner.
These skeleton warriors all held large skeleton swords in their hands and a deathly aura radiated from them, as though they had just walked out of hell.
In the blink of an eye, over a thousand skeleton warriors had rushed out from the Soul Banner. A deathly aura rolled out from them as they huddled together, forming dense clouds that hung in the sky.
Shoosh! Shoosh! Shoosh!
Once these thousand skeleton warriors appeared, they all flew towards Su Mo.
“It is the Souls of the Dead Skill of the Forbidden Sorcerer Skills!” Someone exclaimed from the cloud.
This Souls of the Dead Skill was naturally an ordinary skill among the Forbidden Sorcerer Skills. However, it was still a strong skill despite there being many other stronger Sorcerer Skills.
Zap! Zap! Zap!!
The thousand other skeleton warriors yelled out like beasts and, like a flash of lightning, they spread out all over the sky and rushed towards Su Mo.
“Die, all of you!”
Su Mo yelled out as the killing intent in his eyes flashed. The Dark Force in his body rushed out as the long sword in his hands struck down continuously.

Esper: Search for Power
Dan Martin has a good life. He's respected at his job, and enjoys his work. He is close to his family, and they love and support him. With engaging hobbies, relative financial security, and freedom to learn and pursue his interests, Dan is happy. So it's not particularly welcome when he's selected by an inscrutable and seemingly omnipotent System as a test subject. The downsides: All of this is insane and by any rational analysis he's gonna die. The upsides: Super powers, a cure for a physical disability that had limited him, and above all, so very much to learn (for as long as he can avoid dying). I am very much a beginner as an author, and any feedback or suggestions on how to improve would be deeply appreciated. Chapter releases should be daily for the first two weeks and sporadic after that as I use up my buffer. Please consider this work as a rough draft subject to revision and/or retcon. It is not only my first attempt at original story telling, but at world building and RPG style system design. The latter has been very difficult, even drawing on the brilliant work of many RPGs and LitRPGs for inspiration. Thank you to any willing to give a new story and a new writer a try!

Dazed, she tried to look around but found that her head was held firmly to the pillow under her. Cloth covered her mouth and nose, a sickly sweet smell enveloping her senses. She stared into those eyes as she was pulled deeply and forcefully into oblivion. Isabelle is a smart girl and not really the girly type unless going out. You would usually see her wearing sweats around the house or outside in her backyard on the beach since she lives on the ocean. But she learns that there is something about her that is special and that she is not only human. Meet Jared Gray, the person that kidnapped Isabelle because of her being his mate. He's been waiting since he was 16 to find his mate and now he's 22, about to give up on ever finding his mate. Will she be able to escape or will she fall in love with her hot and charming kidnapper that she wants nothing to do with? Or will she stay with him and eventually fall in love? --- THIS IS A DRAFT.
