Chapter 1389: Su Mo Is Our Opponent
Fei Zhangyun’s skinny body landed on the platform and he stared at the True Sage Stele, surveying through all the 800 names. A short while later, he said in a loud voice, “Zhou Sheng!”
With those words, ‘Zhou Sheng’ on the True Sage Stele glowed with a bright green light.
Not far away, the face of a young man wearing a purple coat immediately turned sour. Although he was one of the geniuses ranked on the True Sage Stele, he was a far cry off from Fei Zhangyun.
Then, this young man was sucked by an invisible force and pulled towards the green platform.
There was no way to reject a challenge from someone – one could only accept it.
The crowd was not surprised by Fei Zhangyun’s selection. Since they were here to attend this event, their goal was to leave their name on the True Sage Stele and obtain the True Sage Qi. Hence, they would not challenge those that were overly strong.
However, once the battle continued. The weak candidates would be eliminated. After two rounds of challenges, most of the weak ones would be out and the rest would have to challenge the stronger opponents.
Of course, Zhou Sheng wasn’t weak and he was ranked 200th on the True Sage Board. However, when compared to Fei Zhangyun, he was far weaker.
On the massive green platform, Fei Zhangyun and Zhou Sheng exchanged looks and they bowed towards each other.
Although Zhou Sheng had no confidence of winning, he would fight with his all and he had no intention of giving way.
Shoosh!
Fei Zhangyun did not waste any time and, flapping the two wings on his back, he flew at lightning speed as though he was a beam of light shooting through the sky.
“What?” Seeing this, Zhou Sheng was immediately shocked. Fei Zhangyun’s speed was so fast, it was hard for him to lock onto his target. Against such a battle opponent, he could only prepare silently and wait for Fei ZHangyun to strike so that he could retaliate.
Ear piercing booms sounded continuously as Fei ZHangyun seemed to have transformed into an invisible mirage that flew over Zhou Sheng’s four corners.

Shoosh!
A sharp Sabre Qi suddenly slashed down from thin air, its speed mirroring winds and lightning.
Without hesitation, Zhou Sheng immediately punched out, and a massive force that was like a volcano erupting rushed towards the sky.
However, before the punch force could meet the sharp Sabre Qi, another two Sabre Qi struck at Zhou Sheng from his side and behind.
“How could this be?” Zhou Sheng was so taken by surprise, his face turned pale. Fei Zhangyun’s speed was simply too fast. Not only was his movement speed so fast that Zhou Sheng could not determine where he was, his attack speed was also very fast.
Zhou Sheng did not hesitate again and he immediately rushed aside to try and dodge the attacks.
Shoosh!
Right at that moment, a terrifying Sabre Qi suddenly appeared from the front, instantly meeting Zhou Sheng.
This Sabre Qi was so strong, it managed to tear the skies apart and the radiance it gave off caused everyone to shiver.
Within a split second, Zhou Sheng could not even manage to consolidate any attack and he brought both his arms forward to defend against the attack.
Dong!
The Sabre Qi collided onto Zhou Sheng’s two arms and a terrifying force immediately swept Zhou Sheng, throwing him backwards a few kilometres, right off the Fighting platform.
Zhou Sheng’s face immediately took on a drastic change. He had lost. The moment he was out of bounds, he lost.
Almost instantly, Zhou Sheng vanished as he was teleported out of the True Sage Stele.
At the same time, the two words ‘Zhou Sheng’ on the True Sage Stele vanished.
Fei Zhangyun lowered himself on the green platform. Wearing a calm expression, he relaxed.
The crowd was anxious. The ranking on the True Sage Stele was definitely reliable. Although Fei Zhangyun had kept a low profile, his powers were astounding.
Not many people would be able to go against such a speed right?
“Terrifying!” Su Mo’s eyes sparkled. This man’s speed was astonishing. Even Su Mo himself could not lock down on Fei Zhangyun. He could only see a blurry figure rapidly flickering all around.
This terrifying speed would be a challenge for others. Yet, against him, Fei Zhangyun wouldn’t be able to attain this speed even if he wanted to.

Once Fei Zhangyun won, his name darkened again and he immediately flew off the platform.
Then, another name glowed on the True Sage Stele and the second challenger was to take his turn.
Not long later, the second battle began. The two challengers were both names that Su Mo had not heard of.
Then, in the following moments, battle after battle continued on. Those who lost in their challenges were immediately defeated.
“This third round will probably last around 3 or 4 days!” As he observed the batte, Su Mo thought to himself.
Some of the challenges had participants who were equally matched. These battles required hundreds and even thousands of exchanges, it was far too slow.
Time passed by quickly and in a blink of an eye 3 hours had passed. A few dozen battles had taken place on the fighting platform and a few dozen people had been eliminated.
However, no one had challenged Su Mo so far. Although many knew his name, they also recognised that Su Mo was a target of the Sorcerer Tribe and hence, many did not challenge him.
Su Mo was not anxious. Afterall, regardless of whether he would challenge the Sorcerer Tribesmen first or the Sorcerer Tribesmen picked him, there would be no difference.
“Why is it so slow?”
While Su Mo was not in a hurry, Wu Ren Wang couldn’t wait any longer. 3 hours had passed and it still wasn’t his turn. He was thoroughly anxious.
A few moments later, another battle ended and Ju Mo’s name lit up.
“Ha ha!”
The Giant Being erupted into a hysterical laughter and, taking a step forward, his huge body landed on the green platform, causing it to vibrate slightly as a boom sounded.
Seeing that Ju Mo was the next challenger, many people started to become anxious. It could be said that Ju Mo was someone that no others wanted to challenge. Even Su Mo, Jiang Shen Ye, Fei Zhangyun etc. did not want to fight against him.
It wasn’t that they were afraid of him, but that in the True Sage Realm where everyone wanted to obtain the True Sage Qi, they wouldn’t want to trouble themselves with a tough battle.
Ju Mo’s massive body stood upright on the green platform as he scanned through the names left on the True Sage Stele before he finally locked his gaze on Su Mo’s name.
The crowd was instantly surprised. Did Ju Mo want to challenge Su Mo?
Su Mo’s face hardened. He only wanted to capture the Sorcerer Tribe geniuses and did not want to fight with Ju Mo, there was no meaning for them to fight.
When Wu Ren Wang and the Sorcerer Tribesmen saw this, their faces instantly changed. If Ju Mo was going to challenge Su Mo, Su Mo was probably going to lose.
Once Su Mo was defeated, he would be teleported out of the True Sage Stele and they would no longer have a change to take action.
Although Su Mo would not be able to escape with the Grand Priest outside, they had promised the Grand Priest that they would be the ones to kill Su Mo in the True Sage Territory.
If they eventually had to let the Grand Priest take action, it would be a loss of face for them.
“Ju Mo, Su Mo is our opponent!”
Right at that moment, a wave of voices rose. Three Sorcerer Tribemen yelled out at the same time.
Among those three, one of them was Wu Ren Wang while the other two were top geniuses of the Sorcerer Tribe. Their strengths were higher than Wu Ren Wang and they were geniuses ranked on the True Sage Stele.
As for the top Sorcerer Tribe genius, Wu Shang, he furrowed his brows but did not speak.
“Oh? He is your opponent!”
Ju Mo laughed upon hearing their words as he turned his head to look at the three Sorcerer Tribesmen. An amused look crossed his eyes.
“That’s right, you should pick someone else!” A skinny Sorcerer Tribe young man yelled out.

To Become a Troll: A Monster Evolution Story
Thrust into the supernatural world of the deep forest, Paul finds himself in a situation where he could find himself prey to pretty much every other creature and animal around. If he's to survive, he must shed his weak form to grow stronger and survive. But the forest is full of creatures beyond human understanding, that act without the need for food or shelter and that seem to exist for the sole purpose of dragging humans to the bottom of a murky river. Is it really possible to kill such creatures when your only strength is physical prowess? --- A monster evolution story based on Swedish creature mythology. The focus will overwhelmingly be on the progression of the main character and his slow increase in strength. Although many of the creatures are based on Swedish creature mythology, I have taken creative liberties in order to ensure that evolution lines and the such are in line with the usual. The main thought I had when going into this is that I want to delay the "meeting a human" section as much as possible. My plan is to get him to endgame levels of strength before even sniffing the possibility of seeing a human. Whether I'm actually able to do this remains to be seen, but I'm holding my thumbs! Also, I'm aware that there are other troll evolution stories, but this is unrelated to them. They can do their stuff and I'll do mine, but this is in no way related to any of them. That said, hope you enjoy it!

Kreig Goes Apesh*t (An AU of Returning to No Applause)
An AU of my previous story, Returning to No Applause, that asks the simple question of "What if it all went wrong?" When Kreig first appears on Earth again, after being stranded in another world for 130 years, he finds himself faced with weapons and guns. In a fit of instinct, he accidentally murders one of the many Fighters, causing what can only be described as a massacre to take place. The story that follows this simple premise is completely opposed to the one told before, focusing less on character improvement and more so degradation. It should come as no surprise that I personally recommend reading the OG story before checking this one out, and if you've already done so, great! Swell havin' ya! Any such readers might remember that I mentioned writing a story like this a while back, and... Here we are. This is in no way a continuation or sequel, nor will it be very long. Expect around 15 chapters at most depending on various factors. All and all, the 5-page length will remain the same (apart from chap. 1) and so will the release time, Sundays at 20:30 EST (I think?). All that aside, I sure hope you'll enjoy this! It'll obviously be very different from the OG story, but I personally think that's a good thing. Cheerio!
