Up in the skies, ten men flew past quickly. These people were Wu Chen, Wu Ma, Wu You Lan, and the other geniuses.

“Young Priest Wu Chen, I have investigated the three missing towns and could not find any leads on the culprit. What should we do now?” one of the Sorcerer Tribe geniuses asked Wu Chen. The genius had investigated three small towns and was gone for a period of ten days. Yet, he did not manage to find any information.

“Continue to the next town that disappeared and investigate further!” Wu Chen lightly said.

“Young Priest Wu Chen, what if this direction isn’t leading to the next town that disappeared?” Wu You Lan wore a confused expression.

“This direction has a few small towns in the area ahead. If we are lucky, we might be able to see a town that has been attacked!” Wu Chen said in a low voice.

Upon hearing this, Wu You Lan exchanged a look with Wu Ma. A flash of confusion passed between them. However, the two did not speak further. Before they left, the Grand Priest had instructed them to take note of any suspicious behaviour by Wu Chen. Although the Grand Priest had mentioned this very casually, the two had taken his words very seriously and had been silently watching Wu Chen the entire trip.

However, Wu Chen did not reveal any suspicious behaviour. The group continued to fly and after a few days, they reached a vast plain.

“Look over there, it looks like one of the disappeared towns!” at that moment, a Sorcerer Tribe genius suddenly raised his hand and pointed. Everyone looked in the direction and saw, at the foot of a mountain, there was an area of land that was completely barren. This land had a strong aura of death and revenge. It was similar to the previous areas they had investigated of the disappeared towns.

“Let’s go and see!” Wu Chen spoke loudly and with a twitch of his body, rushed forward and reached the spot first. The rest of the group quickly followed and flew over as well. The group arrived at the foot of the mountain and, with solemn expressions plastered on their faces, took in the scene in front of them.

This was precisely where a small town once existed. However, the buildings and infrastructure were nowhere to be found. The ground was black, covered by a large amount of lifeblood.

“Everyone, look carefully!” Wu Chen yelled out. Then the group began to scour the area of the former town.

“There are traces of a huge fight in the south. There is a lot of damage here!”

“There are also traces in the north, it seems like someone had rushed forward to kill the others!”

Not long later, the group finished investigating the area. This town was similar to the other disappeared towns, both the north and south areas had significant evidence of a fierce fight.

“Young Priest Wu Chen, what should we do now?” Wu Ma asked. After all, Wu Chen had a higher status than him, now everyone had to listen to his orders.

If we are unable to find any leads, we will return back to this small town and meet up!” With that, Wu Chen immediately picked five other Sorcerer Tribe geniuses and yelled at them to fly towards the north with him.

“This…!” Wu Ma was helpless, but he and Wu You Lan had to go with the remaining Sorcerer Tribe geniuses. A group of them flew towards the south. There were some traces of a fight along their way and they followed those marks. Not long later, they had travelled a few kilometers away from the small town, and had been completely separated from Wu Chen and his group.

“You Lan, there wouldn’t be any problem with us splitting up with Wu Chen, right?” Wu Ma asked Wu You Lan, who was beside him as they flew.

“Probably not. He still has a few men with him whose strengths are not weak!” Wu You Lan shook her head and said solemnly.

The Grand Priest did not say what was wrong with Wu Chen and had only told them to be on guard. It was within reason that they had split up to find leads on the matter of the disappearing towns.

“Mmph!” Wu Ma nodded his head and did not think further on the matter. As they continued flying, the evidence of a fight on the ground suddenly disappeared.

“There are no more traces. Brother Wu Ma, Sister You Lan, what shall we do?” asked one of the geniuses.

“Let’s search the surroundings! If we can’t find anything else, we will return back!” Wu Ma instructed.

“Mmph!” The group nodded their heads and prepared to check their surroundings.

Right at that moment, everyone turned their heads abruptly and looked behind them. Around a few hundred meters away, a young man stood on the grass plains and glared coldy at them.

“Who is that?”

“Why is he here?”

“He is a normal human and is not someone from our tribe!”

Upon seeing the young man, everyone’s eyes darkened. This man could be related to the disappearance on the small towns.

“Take him!” without hesitation, Wu Ma ordered the group.

Swoosh swoosh swoosh!!

“Who are you?” Wu Ma stared at the young man’s eyes and coldly questioned.

“Waiting for us?” the group of men widened their eyes and looked over Su Mo. Figuring that he was only a Level 4 Martial Emperor, they felt relieved. “Quickly, identify yourself. Why did you say you were waiting for us?” one of the men asked loudly.

“I have been waiting for all of you. Why else, but to kill you!” Su Mo laughed deeply.
