Chapter 1201 The Future Path
Hearing Su Mo’s words, Steward Chai narrowed his eyes and said coldly, “Young man, do you think that I have a good temper and can be manipulated as you wish?”
Steward Chai was feeling really angry inside. He did not believe Su Mo was an Imperial Craftsman and Su Mo’s actions now confirmed his suspicion.
He originally had a faint hope—perhaps Su Mo was truly a once-in-a-millennium craftsmanship talent but it seemed that he had thought too much.
“I dare not. Everything I say is true! Please give me a chance!” Su Mo immediately shook his head and said sincerely.
Steward Chai thought silently for a while and coldly said, “I’ll give you a chance right now. If you can’t seize it, don’t blame me for being heartless!”
“Please speak!” Su Mo spoke quickly as his heart trembled. He could only forge ahead.
“Tell me, what kind of Imperial weapons can you forge?” Steward Chai asked.
An idea materialized as he searched through his mind for a Legacy in craftsmanship.
Soon, he found a suitable Imperial weapon.
“Sir, I can forge a few types of Imperial weapons. I am most adept at forging a certain kind of battleax—the Profound Ax. It is a lower Imperial weapon,” Su Mo said.
The Profound Ax he had mentioned was the easiest weapon to forge, out of numerous Imperial weapons from a craftsman’s Legacy.
“Profound Ax?” Steward Chai nodded. He was a Medium Honorable level craftsman. Naturally, he had heard of a Profound Ax and knew how it was made.
“Tell me exactly how you can forge one,” Steward Chai said.
Su Mo nodded and said slowly, “To forge a Profound Ax, you need 363 different kinds of materials, namely gold, wolf sand, steel ivy, heavenly branch… !”
Su Mo began, speaking first about the materials before explaining carefully how the ax could be forged. He also mentioned the details that needed particular attention.

He described the procedure to forge a Profound Ax from the beginning to the end.
Steward Chai nodded to himself as he listened, feeling very pleased. Su Mo’s explanation was not simple theoretical knowledge; even the details had been described very closely.
To be able to describe in such precise details the procedure—he must have forge this weapon personally before.
As they listened on, both Lu Yun and Qin Busi were surprised.
Qin Busi was shocked. Su Mo was such a sophisticated craftsman?
Although he had not known Su Mo for a very long time, he knew the Firmament World very well.
In the last several thousand years, there had not been any Imperial Craftsman in the Firmament World. Su Mo was so young. Yet not only was his strength in the Firmament World peerless, he was also an Imperial level craftsman!
Qin Busi realized that his knowledge of Su Mo was just the tip of an iceberg.
“This kid—perhaps he could create waves in the Infinite Region!” Qin Busi said silently to himself.
The lanky craftsman Lu Yun was also stunned. He gazed in shock at Su Mo with fear in his heart.
It couldn’t be, could it? Was he really an Imperial Craftsman?
Thinking of his earlier attitude and the fact that he had accepted Su Mo’s gift, Lu Yun started to feel very apprehensive.
If Su Mo had really become a member of the Guild, it would not bode well for him as an apprentice.
“This isn’t likely, is not?” Lu Yun thought, apprehension written all over his face. He still did not believe Su Mo could be an Imperial Craftsman.
After all, to be able to detail the forging procedure did not mean that he could forge an Imperial weapon himself!
Even if Su Mo had begun learning craftsmanship in the womb, it was still unlikely for him to become an Imperial Craftsman. The time was too short!
Furthermore, Su Mo had told him about his Imperial Craftsman knowledge and said that he had come across it by chance. His knowledge was all theory.

“Steward Chai, I have finished with the procedure. That is how a Profound Ax is forged!” After Su Mo finished speaking, he saluted Steward Chai.
His face was calm and there was confidence in his eyes, as if forging a Profound Ax was the simplest of matters.
“Not bad!”
A small smile appeared on Steward Chai’s face. He nodded, “You are able to explain how a Profound Ax is forged in such details. You didn’t miss anything. I believe you really have some craftsmanship skill!”
After saying this, Steward Chai thought for a while and said quietly, “How about this? I will give you a chance. Live in the Guild for a few days and recover your willpower. After your willpower has recovered, you can take the test!”
Steward Chai had given Su Mo a chance. It was also because Su Mo was relatively young.
Even if Su Mo could not become an Imperial Craftsman, he was still so young. It would already be an incredible achievement for him to reach the Upper Royal level.
Su Mo was overjoyed and quickly saluted him in gratitude. “Thank you very much, Steward Chai!”
Steward Chai waved his hand and turned to look at Lu Yun. “Lu Yun, find him a place to stay and to convalesce!”
“Yes!” Lu Yun did not dare to slight Steward Chai and immediately replied.
Afterward, Lu Yun brought Su Mo to bid Steward Chai farewell. He arranged a room for Su Mo and Qin Busi on the third floor, not far from where Steward Chai was residing.
“Brother, rest well! I hope you will succeed!”
Lu Yun managed to squeeze out a smile on his face as he said goodbye to Su Mo.
Afterward, Lu Yun left with apprehension. Although he had wished for Su Mo’s success, the exact opposite hope was in his heart. He would like Su Mo to fail and be chased out of the Craftsmen’s Guild.
In the room.
After Lu Yun left, Su Mo and Qin Busi collapsed onto the futon in the room.
“Su Mo, we’ve been so nervous in the last few months. Now, we can finally relax!” Qin Busi sighed with relief.
After four months of running and constant alert, he was feeling very tired.
“Rest well! It should be safe enough here!” Su Mo took a deep breath, looking prepared.
Su Mo sized the room up. It was very big and had a practice room and a forge.
Perhaps it was because there were “giants” in the city, so the buildings outside or the rooms inside the Craftsmen’s Guild were all very large.
After resting for two hours, Su Mo sat cross-legged and began to consider his future path.
Detailed planning was the reason why he could survive till this day. He must plan everything ahead.
First, the two Honorables of the Sorcerer tribe must be in the city. They might be just outside the Craftsmen’s Guild. No matter what happened, he could not go out.
Second, if he wanted to stay in the Craftsmen’s Guild, he had to raise his craftsmanship to the Imperial level as quickly as possible. He needed to be forge an Imperial level weapon at the very least.
Furthermore, he had to know more about this world quickly. After all, he and Qin Busi had just escaped from the Firmament World. They knew nothing about the Infinite Region.
And last, he had to figure out how the Sorcerer tribe had survived in the Infinite Region.
He had killed so many talents of the Sorcerer tribe. He expected that them to continue pursuing this matter.
Even if he survived the two murderous Honorables, he would still be hunted by the entire Sorcerer tribe in the future.

Though, he would appreciate it greatly if someone could explain to him just what this 'cultivation' business was, why the local Mages were all muscle-brained freaks obsessed with immortality, and why they all seemed to lack any appreciation for the finer details of Essence manipulation. That would be nice.

How The Weak Live
This was a rough draft. Quite a meh one. The newer version is These Games of Ours. ---------- Lucious is deserter among many, living by dagger and beggary. Argento’s thirst for knowledge is endless, as is his belly. Kora is the perfect soldier, yet her sword grows dull in monotony. Formally known as the Empire's legend, the Captain is now stuck in stagnation. The Gods, grown weary of human deeds, have decided to indulge themselves in a different way. -------------- THE 7 REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF Clichés shall be avoided like the cancerous tumors they are. The world shall not spread its pink butt cheeks for the main character’s convenience. No character shall be thinner than one slice of white American cheese. No female character shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main character is. No villain shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main characters are. Grammar laws shall be upheld sometimes. I, the author, swear not to be a prick. I, the author, swear not to go away without warning. If other LitRPGs are like Skyrim, then this is going to be a combination of Dark Souls and Total War. Don't expect action for the sake of action. Be warned, this is a slow novel. Read the reviews to see if this novel is a decent fit for you. Disclaimer: I do not own that gorgeous cover art.
