Chapter 1088: Something In the Bag
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
“What bad luck!” the humpbacked old man said, his face clouded with misery.
There had been seven of them but Su Mo had chosen to run after him and not the others. That was rather unlucky.
With several sword Qi hot on his heels, the humpbacked old man could not avoid them any longer. He turned around, clapped his hands repeatedly and fought back. Streaks of huge palm prints flew towards the countless sword Qi with the momentum of an avalanche.
Boom! !
Those palm prints collided with the sword Qi and were cut into pieces with a loud crack.
The palm prints could not resist the attack of the sword Qi from Su Mo at all!
The sword Qi was so invincible that its power still remained the same after tearing through those palm prints. The sword Qi continued their pursuit of the humpbacked old man, aiming to kill him.
“This …!” The humpbacked old man was petrified. Even with his Body-protection Dark Force which was twice as strong now, getting cut by those sword Qi directly would still result in his death.
With a wave of his arm, a big gray and white bell appeared above his head.
This big bell was over nine meters high and appeared to be made of stone, its design antique and simple.
As soon as the bell appeared, it covered the old man completely.
In the next moment, the countless sword Qi chopped at the antique and simple bell.
Boom! !
With a tremendous sound, the bell was not broken by the sword Qi due to its strong defense.
Being attacked by the countless sword Qi, the bell kept retreating and shaking violently. Eventually, several sword Qi began to crack and break apart.
But Su Mo’s sword Qi was so strong that the bell only lasted for half a breath before massive cracks appeared on its surface. Soon, the bell exploded.

Bam!
The big bell cracked and the residual sword Qi was immediately swooped in to attack the humpbacked old man.
Pfft! Pfft!
The Body-protection Dark Force was broken and the old man began to bleed immediately.
Ah!
A scream rang out. The old man had been seriously injured but was not dead. Instead, he attempted to escaped more quickly.
“You have no way to escape!” Su Mo said coldly, continuing to chase the old man.
“Grand Firmament Swordplay— Sky-earth Change!” Su Mo waved his long sword as he prepared to attack again.
An incredible, shiny sword Qi sped through the sky and the earth.
Su Mo did not stop attacking. After using the Grand Firmament Swordplay, he followed those attacks closely with countless sword Qi, mercilessly assaulting the old man.
“Damn it!”
The old man was shocked and angry because he could not get rid of Su Mo. He could only resist Su Mo’s overwhelming attacks.
“Kill!”
The old man stopped running away and turned around to face Su Mo’s attacks. His whole body was full of Dark Force and an increasing aura surged from his body.
The old man’s aura suddenly became quite sinister and his strength increased two to three times after making use of some secret skills.
“Sky-Yin Palm!”
The old man roared loudly. One of his palms became dark as ink and flashed with a metallic luster.
Later on, the old man clapped out a huge black palm print which was as tall as a hill that was over 300 meters in height to counter Su Mo’s attack.
The old man was fighting for his life at this point. He was seriously injured and it was really difficult to escape.
However, although the old man’s strength increased a lot and even though his palm print was strong, he was still unable to defeat Su Mo.
Slice!
Like the sound of tearing cloth, the palm print was torn in half by the sword Qi.

The incredible sword Qi has less power after tearing through the palm print, but still assaulted the old man rapidly.
Before the torn palm print collapsed, it was split into pieces by the countless sword Qi.
The incredible sword Qi and the countless sword Qi behind it instantly began to rain heavily on the old man.
Ah!
Another shrill screaming was heard, but stopped immediately.
After a short while, the sword Qi dissipated and everything calmed down. But the old man was nowhere to be found.
The man had died and vanished into ashes.
“What a pity!” Su Mo sighed. It was impossible to get this man’s divine elixir since he had passed.
“However, he was very strong. It would require plenty of energy to kill him if the divine elixir remained.”
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Just then, streaks of light flew back from a distance and Su Mo’s other eight Spiritual Swords all returned.
However, his eight Spiritual Swords had not managed to kill even one person.
These old heads from Netherworld Devil Sect all had immense strength and life-saving means. Without Su Mo’s control, it was impossible to kill even one.
However, Su Mo was not going to give up until the Netherworld Devil Sect repented.
Then, Su Mo immediately made a quick movement to chase after another old head with his royal swords.
Su Mo maximized his Martial Soul of Ghostly Magic Sight. Now, with the improvement of his cultivation strength, the power of his Martial Soul had already increased by several levels.
In Su Mo’s vision, a figure in a black robe was flying 50,000 to 60,000 miles away from him.
He was not slow, either. It only took less than two breaths to get from where Su Mo was to where the figure was. But he was about to escape beyond the sight distance of Su Mo’s Martial Soul.
Su Mo immediately sped up and urged his Natal Spiritual Sword to the utmost extent, chasing after the old head of the Netherworld Devil Sect.
Su Mo’s was not much faster than him. Although the distance between them was slowly reduced. There was still a distance of nearly 50,000 miles after two hours of the chase because of the limited speed.
Su Mo was not in a hurry, either. As long as the figure was within the sight of Su Mo’s Martial Soul, he was in the bag.
This place was thousands of miles away from the Netherworld Devil Sect. It was impossible for the Old Head to consistently fly at that speed for a prolonged period of time.
Su Mo pondered over ways to kill the Old Head with ease and getting his divine elixir while pursuing him.
This is the divine elixir at Lv 9 Martial Royal Realm, which could be comparable to nearly one thousand divine elixirs at Lv 1.
As long as he got this Old Head’s divine elixir, it would be enough to break through the cultivating resources at Lv 3 Martial Royal Realm !
As time went by, Su Mo continued his chase. Six to eight hours later, the distance between them was only about 30,000 miles.
At this time, Su Mo felt delighted that this expert unexpectedly slowed down.
“Ho Ho!” Su Mo chuckled. He had the Martial Soul of Ghostly Magic Sight while the old man had no Martial Soul that belonged to that Sight type. The old man had no idea that he was being pursued.
Even the martial artist at Lv 9 Martial Royal Realm only had a sight distance of ten thousand miles at most.
In Su Mo’s sight, the expert landed gradually after slowing down and began to fly towards a big river nearby.
The expert rushed into the river and disappeared.

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
