Chapter 869: I’ve Had Some Experience
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Not long later, a thin, elderly old man with gray hair walked into the hall.
“Greetings, Governor Bai!” the elderly man bowed as he greeted Governor Bai.
“Elder Yu, there’s no need for formalities here. Please have a seat!” Governor Bai quickly stood up and helped the elderly man to his feet.
It was clear that this elderly man was highly regarded here at the mansion. Even the city governor did not dare to lord over him.
“Many thanks!” the elderly man then took the seat opposite Su Mo.
“Elder Yu, I’ve asked you to come because we’d like to seek your advice regarding a certain craftsmanship material.” Governor Bai said with a smile.
“Please feel free to ask!” Elder Yu replied.
Governor Bai looked at Su Mo and said, “Su Mo, feel free to ask Elder Yu about that craftsmanship material you mentioned!”
Su Mo nodded and turned to salute Elder Yu. “Elder, I would like to ask about the Blood-striped Seed!” he said solemnly.
“Blood-striped Seed?” Elder Yu’s eyes suddenly shone. “You’re searching for the Blood-striped Seed?”
“That’s right!” Su Mo nodded and then he added, “If you have news about the Blood-striped Seed, I’ll reward you generously!”
Elder Yu thought for a moment. He did not care for generous rewards since he had dedicated his entire life to craftsmanship and had absolutely no interest in the things that were treasured by martial artists.
Rather than getting annoyed by Elder Yu’s silence, Su Mo was thrilled. He could tell from Elder Yu’s expression that he had heard of the Blood-striped Seed.
After a while, Elder Yu replied, “The Blood-striped Seed is an extremely rare craftsmanship material and it can only be found within the imperial palace!”
“The imperial palace!” Su Mo was shocked, and then his eyes narrowed.

If it could only be found within the imperial palace, he would have to find a way to break into the palace!
“Elder, are you sure about that?” Su Mo asked seriously.
“Certainly. The Emperor had wanted to craft some kind of treasure a year ago that required the skills of a large number of us King-level craftsmen. I had the honor of participating in this project and I’ve definitely seen it in the imperial palace.” Elder Yu said with a nod.
Su Mo breathed out a sigh of relief. Now that he was given a clue, he could work at formulating a plan and no longer had to run around like a headless chicken.
Although getting the Blood-striped Seed from the imperial palace was going to be challenging, he was sure he could come up with something.
“Many thanks for your advice!” Su Moimmediately rose to his feet and thanked Elder Yu sincerely.
Elder Yu had been a great help to him.
“No worries!” Elder Yu waved it off. “This wasn’t a secret anyway!” he added.
Elder Yu rose to his feet and saluted both Governor Bai and Su Mo as he said, “Governor Bai, young friend, I’ll take my leave now if you have no further questions!”
“Elder, please wait a minute!” Su Mo immediately stopped him. He had promised to reward him generously, so he would fulfill his promise.
He took out a jade slip from his storage ring.
This jade slip originally detailed a King Cultivation Skill, but Su Mo used his Mind to erase it off the jade slip. He then mentally imprinted a large amount of information onto the jade slip.
“Elder, please accept this gift as a gesture of my gratitude. I hope you like it!” Su Mo presented the jade slip to Elder Yu.
Elder Yu shook his head helplessly. He did not care of Su Mo’s so-called generous reward.

However, now that Su Mo had presented him with one, it would be rude not to accept it.
“Thank you!” Elder Yu accepted Su Mo’s jade slip and kept it away in his storage ring.
Su Mo laughed wryly. Elder Yu didn’t seem to take his gift seriously and might not ever look at it in the future!
“Elder, I think you should have a look at it first!” Su Mo reminded him with a smile.
“This…!” Elder Yu was speechless. He had already accepted this gift and yet, Su Mo still insisted that he look at it immediately.
No one would ask someone to open a gift immediately after presenting it. Thus, Elder Yu grew a little irritated with Su Mo.
However, since Su Mo was a guest of Governor Bai, Elder Yu did not want to be rude to him in public. He reluctantly took out the jade slip and started combing over it with his mind.
The moment he discovered what was in that jade slip, his body suddenly trembled and his eyes widened.
Then, he stood frozen on the spot, as if he had been fossilized.
“This…!” Governor Bai was shocked and couldn’t help but wonder what kind of gift did Su Mo present to Elder Yu for him to utterly lose his composure!
Governor Bai became more and more curious as Elder Yu remained rooted on the spot. He couldn’t help but rise to his feet as well.
Soon, 10 minutes had passed, but Elder Yu was still unresponsive and remained as still as a statue.
Governor Bai could not contain his curiosity any longer. He turned to Su Mo and asked, “What kind of present was that?”
Governor Bai knew Elder Yu very well and also knew that he was usually very calm and collected. Neither treasures nor martial arts technique could distract him from his pursuit of craftsmanship!
Only something related to craftsmanship could leave him such a stupor!
“Did Su Mo present Elder Yu with a craft formula?”
Governor Bai guessed.
“I only imparted some craftsmanship knowledge to Elder Yu!” Su Mo replied with a laugh.
“What? Imparted?” Governor Bai repeated in shock.
Did Su Mo just use the word ‘imparted’?
Did he impart some craftsmanship knowledge to Elder Yu?
“Are you also a craftsman?” Governor Bai asked in stunned surprise.
“Yes, I’ve got some experience!” Su Mo nodded.
Governor Bai’s lips could not stop twitching.
He had some experience?
His impartation of craftsmanship knowledge had caused Elder Yu to devote himself wholeheartedly into examining its contents. Yet, Su Mo was saying he only had some experience?
This could only mean that his craftsmanship skills far surpassed Elder Yu’s!
Elder Yu was a Medium King Craftsman, which meant that Su Mo could only be an Upper King Craftsman, or maybe even higher than that!
Governor Bai felt like he was going crazy. Su Mo’s combat strength was so astounding that no words could fully express it; and now, he was also a high-level craftsman?
How was that even possible?
Governor Bai’s inner voice yelled out. He could not believe that this could be real. It just seemed utterly absurd!
How could such an extraordinary talent like him even exist?
He was astounded as he looked at Su Mo once again. This young man looked completely harmless but was in fact a terrifying genius!
Elder Yu finally came back to his senses.
His hands could not stop trembling as he slowly lifted up the jade slip and looked excitedly at Su Mo. “Young friend, is…is it true?”
As Elder Yu looked through the profound craftsmanship techniques detailed on the jade slip, he was astonished. He was experienced enough to determine whether a technique was fake, but he still sought confirmation from Su Mo.
The information detailed in the jade slip was priceless to him.
