Chapter 868: Also an Outsider
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
“Ha ha. Let’s return to my mansion!” Governor Bai said with a bright smile.
He waved his arm and made the gesture for ‘please’.
Su Mo nodded and tucked away his Hornet Sword. Then, he flew with Governor Bai toward the direction of the Mansion of the City Governor.
Bai Yin’er quickly rode her unicorn back to the mansion as well, leaving countless shocked soldiers and martial artist in her wake.
The crowd finally recovered from their shock after Su Mo left and burst into an uproar.
“My god! What kind of monster is that outsider?”
“His strength is just too terrifying!”
“Even the city governor has decided to play nice, this shows that he is truly invincible now!”
“I wonder what is the outside world like for such an amazing talent to exist!”
They chattered excitedly amongst themselves with flushed faces. It was a long time before they calmed down.
Governor Bai and Su Mo took their seats in the guest hall back at the Mansion of the City Governor.
“Young friend, what’s your name?” Governor Bai asked Su Mo with a smile.
They had sat in the exact same position earlier, but now, the situation was completely different.
“Su Mo!” Su Mo answered curtly.
“Nice to meet you, Su Mo. It was all a misunderstanding earlier. My daughter has always been rebellious, I will make sure to punish her later!” Governor Bai said with a fist-palm salute.
“No worries!” Su Mo said as he shook his head.
“I had been too blinded by anger earlier and recklessly attacked you. Please don’t take it too seriously!” Governor Bai said awkwardly.
Su Mo scoffed to himself. He knew that Governor Bai spared him only because he was too powerful!
It was laughable that he was now trying to pass off his actions as a moment of recklessness.
“Governor Bai, there’s no need for you to explain further. I won’t take it to heart!” Su Mo said politely, not revealing his contempt for Governor Bai.

“That’s great!” Governor Bai smiled even more warmly. He was not too bothered by General Cheng’s death since he had many other experts under him.
He paused for a moment, then he took out the identification badge and the book of law again. He mentally imprinted some information on the identification badge and handed it to Su Mo as he said, “Su Mo, I’ll give these two items to you for free!”
He tossed the items toward Su Mo.
Su Mo nodded and reached out to grab hold of those items.
“All you need to do is to drip a drop of blood onto the identification badge and the registration process will be complete. You will then be recognized as a citizen of Divine Martial Country!” Governor Bai explained.
“Many thanks!” Su Mo thanked Governor Bai. He did not rush to drip his blood onto the identification badge, but kept it away in his storage ring instead.
Governor Bai did not mind at all. He smiled and said, “Su Mo, you’ve only just arrived at Divine Martial Country, so since you’re not familiar with this place at all, you’re welcome to stay here for a few days. I’ll make the necessary arrangements for you to stay comfortably.”
Governor Bai summoned his servant to get the guest room ready for Su Mo.
Su Mo did not reject Governor Bai’s offer. After some thought, he added, “Governor Bai, I’ve only just arrived at Divine Martial Country so I was wondering if you could give me an introduction of this place?”
“Of course!” Governor Bai nodded.
He took a quick moment to gather his thoughts, then began by saying, “Divine Martial Country is made up of 36 different cities with a population of close to 200 million. The capital is Divine Martial City…”
He slowly gave a brief introduction of Divine Martial Country.
“How strong are the most powerful experts here at Divine Martial Country?” Su Mo asked after Governor Bai concluded his introduction.
“Our Emperor, who also commands the entire Divine Martial Country, is the strongest expert in this land. He is of Half-step to Martial Royal Realm cultivation!” Governor Bai said reverently.

“Half-step to Martial Royal Realm!” Su Mo nodded. He now knew that there was no Martial Royal Realm expert in this land.
“Su Mo, our Emperor might only be of half-step to Martial Royal Realm, but his true combat strength is comparable to that of high-level Martial Royal Realm experts!” Governor Bai said solemnly.
“Oh? Since there are no Martial Royal Realm martial artists here, how would you know this for a fact?” Su Mo asked curiously. One can only know something is true if there is a basis for comparison. Since there were no Martial Royal Realm experts in the entire country, how could Governor Bai be sure that Divine Martial Emperor’s strength was comparable to Martial Royal Realm experts?
Governor Bai looked around furtively before he created a large Dark Force air shield that completely enveloped them both.
Su Mo was surprised. Governor Bai was clearly afraid of being overheard. Why was he so cautious? Could this be a secret?
“Su Mo, you will definitely not have heard of this before, but our Emperor used to be an outsider!” Governor Bai said softly.
“He is an outsider too?” Su Mo exclaimed in surprise. Then, a small smile spread across his face.
This Divine Martial Emperor would be considered an average expert in the outside world, but when he arrived here, he elevated himself to become an Emperor, commanding 200 million people as his citizens. He was clearly living luxuriously here!
“The current DIvine Martial Emperor arrived here 20 years ago and killed the previous Divine Martial Emperor to seize the throne. We have all submitted ourselves to his rule!” Governor Bai said with a sigh.
“This matter is considered taboo. If anyone speaks of this, he would definitely be killed!” he continued.
Su Mo nodded. He could tell from their complex and rigid laws that this Divine Martial Emperor ruled with an iron hand.
Anyone who broke the law would be sentenced to death.
“Governor Bai, I have something else I’d like to ask. If you could point me in the right direction, I’ll reward you generously!” Su Mo said sincerely.
He did not want to dwell too long on who the Divine Martial Emperor was. It was more important for him to settle his own pressing issues.
“Generous reward?” Governor Bai’s lit up and he quickly said with a laugh, “Su Mo, please feel free to ask me anything. I’ll do my best to answer!”
Governor Bai was thrilled. Since Su Mo had said that he will give a generous reward, it must be something amazing given his status as an outsider.
“Very well!” Su Mo nodded and then he asked, “Do you happen to have the Blood-striped Seed? Or would you know where I can find the Blood-striped Seed?”
“Blood-striped Seed?” Governor Bai repeated in surprise. He was neither a pill-refining master nor a craftsman, how would he know what a Blood-striped Seed was?
Su Mo already knew what the answer would be when he clocked Governor Bai’s expression. He couldn’t help but let out a sigh.
“Su Mo, what is this Blood-striped Seed you speak of?” Governor Bai asked curiously.
“It is a kind of craftsmanship material. The seed of a blood-striped plant!” Su Mo said with a sigh.
“Oh, it is a kind of craftsmanship material?” Governor Bai repeated.
“Give me a minute. We have a King-level craftsman here in the mansion. I’m sure he would have heard of this material!” he added.
Governor Bai disabled the Dark Force air shield and asked his men to summon that King-level craftsman to see him.
Su Mo couldn’t help but feel excited. He hoped that there would be a positive outcome this time!
Otherwise, it would probably take ages for him to find the Blood-striped Seed!
