Chapter 826: Dayan Number
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Su Mo closed his eyes. He did not start cultivating but was merely quietly calming his breath.
There was no panacea that would help him recover his essence, qi, and spirit in his body. He would have to do it slowly.
According to his estimation, it would be very hard for him to fully replenish his essence, qi, and spirit before his battle with Shangguan Hao.
“Whoosh!”
Su Mo had only sat quietly for 10 minutes before Gong Lin charged into his stone hut.
“Su Mo, what do you think you are doing? Get me out of here!” Gong Lin shouted angrily at Su Mo.
He had been extremely astonished to find himself in this strange Space, but then he had heard from Wenren Tiandu that they were now in Su Mo’s Spacial Device.
He had no idea why Su Mo would bring him to this place and was consumed by both shock and fury. He then went to look for Su Mo to try to make sense of it all.
Su Mo glanced at Gong Lin and replied coldly, “Weren’t you looking for Sikong Yan? He is here too!”
“Junior Brother Sikong is here too?” Gong Lin was taken aback, then asked suspiciously, “Where is he? Why haven’t I seen him around?”
“He is currently cultivating, All you have to do is to wait!” Su Mo could not be bothered to waste time on idle chatter with Gong Lin.
He created an air blast with a wave of his hand that swept Gong Lin out of his stone hut.
“You….damn it!” Gong Lin roared before he was thrown out hundreds of miles away.
Su Mo then closed his eyes again, and started to calm his breath. He resembled an old monk that had been fossilized and did not move and inch.
Time trickled by slowly.
Seven days passed in a blink of an eye.
After seven days, Su Mo finally opened his eyes and released a breath of murky Qi.
After seven days of recuperation, he had recovered some of his essence, qi and spirit. He was now no longer so fatigued.

However, that was still a long way to go before he fully recovered his qi, essence, and spirit.
This might have a slight effect on his strength, but it was not too serious. Su Mo estimated his strength had dipped by about 20% in his current state.
If he continued to cultivate Spiritual Spirals, this would offset the dip in his strength.
He thought for a moment, then finally decided to continue cultivating the Magic Spirals Mystique.
While it was true that it would be more difficult for him to break through to Martial King Realm if he cultivated more Spiritual Spirals, Su Mo still had some confidence in himself.
He still had all sorts of hidden cards and his strength was way above that of his peers.
Secondly, he had faith in Firmament Palace’s resources. This cultivation of multiple Spiritual Spirals was an Archean martial practice and the most terrifying part of breaking through to Martial King Realm was the Martial King Ordeal.
Firmament Palace, as the overlord of the ancient times would definitely be in possession of all sorts of powerful treasures. He should be able to withstand the Martial King Ordeal if he obtained a few more treasures from Firmament Palace when the time came to break through.
Most importantly, Su Mo’s top priority was to increase his strength in the fastest way imaginable. He did not have much time left.
Su Mo was not about to cultivate additional Spiritual Spirals like a madman. He estimated that cultivating a few dozen more Spiritual Spirals should not be a problem.
Then, he took a deep breath and started to cultivate the Magic Spirals Mystique.
New Spiritual Spirals started to form in his body.
After half a day, the number of Spiritual Spirals in his body totaled 32.
Su Mo’s physical strength was extraordinary and he still did not feel the strain from cultivating so many Spiritual Spirals. However, his speed of cultivation had started to slow.
“Should I continue?” Su Mo muttered to himself.
He now had 32 Spiritual Spirals. This was an outrageous number already.
“I’ll cultivate a few more!” Su Mo clenched his jaw.
It was said that in the ancient times, someone had managed to cultivate a hundred Spiritual Spirals. He had only cultivated 32; how could he back down now!

Naturally, Su Mo did not dare to cultivate a hundred Spiritual Spirals. That man had been crazy. Su Mo was not.
Su Mo was unaware that anyone who knew that he had cultivated 32 Spiritual Spirals would have thought he had gone insane!
Su Mo continued to cultivate the Magic Spirals Mystique and he slowly split one of his Spiritual Spirals into two, then further split the two to four.
After another half a day, the number of Spiritual Spirals in his body now totaled 43.
Su Mo was starting to feel the strain on his body. Each time he added an additional Spiritual Spiral, he would be affected by the pressure stemming from dozens of Spiritual Spirals since they were all linked together.
However, he could still withstand this level of pressure.
“I’ll cultivate till I can’t take it anymore!” Su Mo made up his mind and continued his cultivation. If he did not give it his all, he would never become greater. Su Mo was not willing to rest until he had reached his limit!
Moreover, if he found that he was unable to break through to Martial King Realm in the future, he could always destroy a few Spiritual Spirals.
He continued to cultivate.
44!
45!
47!
48!
After he cultivated his 48th Spiritual Spiral, Su Mo felt like he was reaching his limit. The large number of Spiritual Spirals he had cultivated placed an immense pressure on his body. Despite his powerful physical strength, he could not help but shake all over.
“The Dayan Number(from the I Ching , an ancient Chinese divination text and the oldest of the Chinese classics.) is 50, of which only 49 are used. I shall add one more Spiritual Spirals!” Su Mo decided to stop at 49 Spiritual Spirals.
He directed his mind toward one of his Spiritual Spirals and carefully controlled its split.
This process was extremely slow. After four hours, Su Mo was drenched in sweat and his Spiritual Spiral finally slowly started to split into two different Spiritual Spirals.
The moment the final Spiritual Spiral was formed, the 49 Spiritual Spirals whirled as one entity. The mighty force it generated was like an invisible wave that threatened to crush his body.
Uh…
Su Mo could not help but groan. He felt like his entire body was being ripped into shreds. The pain was excruciating.
Su Mo’s body shook violently, but he grit his teeth and did his best to withstand it.
Finally, after three breaths, the immense pressure started to fade.
Phew!
Su Mo heaved a sigh of relief. 49 Spiritual Spirals was enough, he would not cultivate any more.
Although he was confident he could cultivate another Spiritual Spiral, he did not want to waste his effort doing so.
49 Spiritual Spirals was extraordinary enough, and it referenced the Dayan Number, which made it perfect.
Su Mo then took out 5 million Upper Spiritual Stones and started to devour them to charge all his Spiritual Spirals with Dark Force.
After he exhausted all 5 million Upper Spiritual Stones, Su Mo looked a little dismayed.
He had not expected 5 million Upper Spiritual Stones to have such little effect. His 49 Spiritual Spirals still remained tiny and weak,a long way from becoming fully charged.
Su Mo was troubled. When he had nine Spiritual Spirals, he had often worried about his lack of Spiritual Stones.
Now that he had 49 Spiritual Stones, how was he going to progress in the future! He estimated that he would probably need a billion Upper Spiritual Stones each time he wanted to increase his cultivation!
Sigh!
Su Mo did not dwell too long on this and continued to devour Spiritual Stones. Fortunately, he had more than a few billion Upper Spiritual Stones at the moment, enough for him to spend.
He took out piles and piles of Spiritual Stones and started to frantically devour them. After spending more than 200,000 million Upper Spiritual Stones, his 49 Spiritual Stones were finally fully charged with Dark Force.
“It is now time to head to Ancient-treasure City!”
Su Mo stopped devouring, rose to his feet and walked out of the stone hut.

His soulmate is now in front of him once again, but things are different. Maybe too different. Slave 53: The Phoenix
Azgarth is a violent Warlord from a planet where everyone feared him, a man that never lost a battle whether it be from his enemies surrendering or dying. After entering a wormhole, this once infamous man had his memory completely wiped. He was enslaved under the name 53. The great comet arrived one day and gave 53 an extremely rare animal aspect, the Phoenix. Having a rare animal aspect puts people on the fast track to power in this world. Will 53 show the same brutality as his former self? Author: So there will probably be a lot of changes when I start hashing out the whole classes and what not. I'm not planning on this to have statuses or anything like that, but when people 'lvl up' is probably going to be something like ascending 1, 2, 3, etc. With each ascension they are many times stronger, for example, someone who hasn't ascend at all would be at 0, but someone with a 1 would be about 5x stronger than someone who is 0 and so on. It would take a long time to reach each one. With the red colored marks which represents fire, I have a couple ideas with what I want to do, in a way a battle royale, as this continent they are on isn't very large, but all four elements are on it (or more, I might add light, dark, and some others) but all the humans have red, while a different alien race has blue (water), brown (earth), and grey (Air). The color of the mark they have influences how they feel about each other, a example of that would be if a red saw a brown, then they would naturally feel a disgust about each other, and if they killed someone from a different color they would gain way more life essence which is needed to ascend than they would killing someone from their same color. The last thing, I'm not too sure about the main character yet, as I like the whole idea of a memory wipe, I almost think it'd be more entertaining to have the guy slowly regain all his memory, then just becoming his normal self again. If that's the case I'll have to change the title of book. The original idea was this guy would keep the name 53, and his prior self named Azgarth is sharing his body, as in he can talk to him and give him advice on things since he doesn't want him to die since he is sorta like a split personality sharing the same body. Looking at it now, idk if I want this guy to be named 53 forever. Warning: A lot of dark content in the book, especially in the flashbacks.
