Chapter 821: Frantic Addition
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
After a while, Su Mo made up his mind.
If he could increase his strength by cultivating more Spiritual Spirals, why should he not do so?
It was true that attaining Martial King Realm would be more difficult if he had more Spiritual Spirals, Su Mo had never backed down in the face of adversity.
If he had cowered in the face of adversity, he would not have made it this far.
Furthermore, his battle with Shangguan Hao was coming up soon and he was still not sure if he would be able to find the two materials he needed to craft his Natal Spiritual Sword. If he was not able to craft his Natal Spiritual Sword, he would definitely be defeated.
This Magic Spirals Mystique was now a chance for him to go up against Shangguan Hao even without a Natal Spiritual Sword.
“Many thanks, Brother Wenren!” Su Mo thanked Wenren Tiandu after he made his choice. Wenren Tiandu had been of great help to him.
“No problem!” Wenren Tiandu shook his head, his expression still as calm as ever.
Su Mo glanced at Sikong Yan in the distance, then took a deep breath, closed his eyes and focused his attention on cultivating.
He carefully ran through the contents of Magic Spirals Mystique and only started to cultivate after he had completely grasped its contents.
He focused his mind on his body and made contact with one of his Spiritual Spirals within his elixir field.
Su Mo’s Spiritual Spirals had shrunk a lot due to the side-effects of the Three Secret Techniques and were only two-thirds their regular size.
Then, Su Mo concentrated on splitting his Spiritual Spiral in accordance to the Magic Spirals Mystique technique.
The basics of the Magic Spirals Mystique were largely similar to his Nine Spirals Mystique. They both involved him splitting one Spiritual Spiral into two, then further splitting those two into four.

The first condition for increasing the number of Spiritual Spirals he had was to have a body strong enough to withstand its power. When Su Mo was still of Spiritual Martial Realm, cultivating nine Spiritual Spirals had almost killed him.
However, he was way more powerful now than when he had initially cultivated his nine Spiritual Spirals.
Despite his current weak state, his physical strength was more than a few thousand times stronger compared to the Su Mo of the past.
True enough, Su Mo found it extremely easy cultivating his ninth Spiritual Spiral this time around.
In just three breaths, Su Mo had managed to split his Spiritual Spiral into two tiny Spiritual Spirals. He had regained his ninth Spiritual Spiral.
Su Mo then continued the process to cultivate his tenth Spiritual Spiral.
He managed to cultivate the tenth Spiritual Spiral extremely quickly and used only four breaths to do so.
Then came his 11th Spiritual Spiral!
The 12th Spiritual Spiral!
The 15th Spiritual Spiral!
The 16th Spiritual Spiral!
In less than 10 minutes, Su Mo had managed to surpass Wenren Tiandu in terms of the number of Spiritual Spirals.
He did not stop there, but continued to cultivate the Magic Spirals Mystique.
The 20th Spiritual Spiral!
The 22nd Spiritual Spiral!
The 23rd Spiritual Spiral!
As his Spiritual Spirals increased in number, Su Mo’s speed of cultivation started to slow down. He had taken 15 minutes to cultivate his 23rd Spiritual Spiral.
Nonetheless, this did not cause any stress to his body. He could clearly continue to increase the number of Spiritual Spirals he had.
“Whew!”
Su Mo exhaled and temporarily paused his cultivation of Spiritual Spirals. He then opened his eyes and took an elixir from his storage ring to recover his Dark Force.
Although he had successfully cultivated more Spiritual Spirals, due to his lack of Dark Force, they were all extremely weak and small.

He took those elixirs to nourish his Spiritual Spirals with Dark Force. This would then cause his strength to surge.
He had obtained all those elixirs from Leng Fan. They were Lv 6 elixirs and extremely effective.
Even so, Su Mo had taken three entire bottles of elixirs to fully charge his 23 Spiritual Spirals with Dark Force.
Thereafter, he rose to his feet and made to leave this place.
He did not dare to dither too long since he still had to find the Dark Stone.
“Brother Su, how many Spiritual Spirals have you cultivated?” Wenren Tiandu, who had been meditating, asked curiously when he noticed Su Mo rising to his feet.
He knew that with Su Mo’s ability, he would be able to cultivate Spiritual Spirals extremely quickly.
However, since Su Mo had spent 30 minutes on this, he was curious to know how many had Su Mo cultivated.
“Fifteen!” Su Mo replied with a smile. He was in a good mood now that he had managed to add an additional fifteen Spiritual Spirals in such a short time despite his weak state.
“Fifteen? Now we are on par then!” Wenren Tiandu nodded.
He assumed that Su Mo now had a total of fifteen Spiritual Spirals.
“Brother Wenren, let’s go on without Sikong Yan since he’s still cultivating!” Su Mo did not bother to dispel Wenren Tiandu’s assumption.
Wenren Tiandu frowned, then replied coldly, “We arrived here together, so we should leave together!”
Wenren Tiandu rose to his feet and prepared to call out to Sikong Yan.
Su Mo burst into laughter. Wenren Tiandu seemed to have misunderstood his intent and assumed that he wanted to abandon Sikong Yan.
“Brother Wenren!” Su Mo interrupted him with a wave of his hand.
“I have already figured out how to keep this Sky-burn Tower and can just take this entire tower with me!” Su Mo added.
“What?” Wenren Tiandu was shocked.
“You can just take this entire tower with you?” he asked doubtfully.
Wenren Tiandu found it unbelievable that Su Mo had found a way to take this entire tower with him after merely strolling around it a few times!
“Of course!” Su Mo nodded and explained, “This tower was once part of Firmament Palace and belonged to Sky-burn Palace. I will naturally have the ability to bring it back to Firmament Palace!”
“I see!” Wenren Tiandu exclaimed as realization dawned on him.
“Let’s leave Sikong Yan to cultivate here!” Su Mo said and walked toward the exit.
He punched a hole through Space and an illusory portal appeared. Su Mo and Wenren Tiandu strode through this portal.
A group of seven martial artists stood outside the Sky-burn Tower.
Sang Tian was part of the group, and the remaining six were made up of both young and old. They were all incredibly powerful with the weakest of the group being of Lv 5 Martial King Realm.
However, they were all riddled with injuries and looked extremely disheveled.
They were the only seven left in this humongous mansion.
The remaining dozen or so of them had all perished. Some had been killed by the formation forbiddance within the mansion, while the others had been killed while attempting to battle for treasure.
All seven of them had basically scoured the entire mansion except for this huge tower.
“Guys, I’m sure all of you know that this place is dangerous!” Sang Tian looked at the group and said loudly, “This tower stands in the middle of this mansion and its size alone shows how extraordinary it is. I’m not sure what other dangers lurk within but we should all work together to protect ourselves!”

Dig to the bottom and confirm, what you really want... ...For you cannot escape suffering and death. You only have a little time. Use it wisely. Uru, a young boy with no talent for magic or fighting, sets out on a quest to become an avatar of order, the physical embodiment of righteousness, in a distant future, where control of origin energy allows people to defy physics and manipulate causality. Mocked by fate and broken by impossible dreams, all that's left is to stand in defiance to cruel existence. Because there is a Truth out there, somewhere. Singular, transcendent, eternal. What would you sacrifice for it? *** This is a fantastic sci-fi epic. It's going to blend both western and eastern traditional fantasy tropes – like might & magic and cultivation – with rational sci-fi grounded fully in reality, to produce a purely fictional fairy tale. I'd like to deliver something light-hearted and yet wholly serious. An uplifting adventure exploring the unfathomable reaches of humanity, free of indecency, with a healthy dose of humorous banter, legendary beings, and most importantly – lots of exciting, firework-filled mayhem! I've tried reading many web novels, but there's a fundamental problem with them – the eastern ones are annoyingly repetitive, superficial and morally destitute, while western ones are often dark, convoluted and profane. There's only so much one can do to filter out the bad and try to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. It's one thing to eat tasty fast food, but if it's moldy and filled with toxins, then it's not only poisonous, but also disgusting. The appreciation of beauty and higher values is disappearing at an alarming rate. Although there are throngs of talented people out there, none of them are creating what I want to witness – an inspiring battle against impossible odds, ending in absolute victory. A triumph of the spirit so overwhelming, it crushes the spectator into his seat and takes his breath away. I'm looking for a real paragon, so now I'd like to try conceiving one. *** The MC's name comes from Tolkien's Elven dictionary in Silmarillion, 'Uru' meaning 'Fire', and 'Dagnir an Uruloki' meaning 'Slayer of Dragons'. *** Note: I'm neither a native speaker, nor an aficionado of literature – I've never written anything before, and despite proficient English my literary prowess is abysmal. It therefore takes me a painful amount of effort to polish the chapters and bring them up to par. Last year I wrote and posted some on FictionPress, but I stopped since it wasn't going anywhere. The appalling amount of filth and mediocrity being peddled in all the media nowadays – a result of no conspiracy to manipulate the masses, but plain supply and demand – is no longer just the triumph of form over substance, but most worryingly corruption of the latter. Who wants to read about ideals anymore? And yet, masses flock together to gobble up perversion and depravity. That being said, I can't rule out pitiful exposure as the culprit to my failure, so I am now once again trying to increase it here, possibly for the last time. If there are still human beings present, hungry or in need of a detox after eating too much garbage, make yourselves heard, so I can see a reason to continue the story. Otherwise it's pointless – I'm not going to make fodder for the masses, and I'm most certainly not going to throw pearls before swine. I'll simply stop writing altogether.
