Chapter 820: Magic Spirals Mystique
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Su Mo’s approach with Wenren Tiandu was completely different from how he had dealt with Sikong Yan.
He knew that Wenren Tiandu already had an Imperial-level Legacy and was already very extraordinary. He would not be tempted by the promise of Good Fortune.
Therefore, Su Mo’s request was for Wenren Tiandu to be his partner, which showed his regard for Wenren Tiandu.
“Build something great together?” Wenren Tiandu was surprised and was suddenly at a loss for words.
He had no interest in grand plans or ambitions, his ultimate goal was to hone his martial arts to perfection!
Nonetheless, Wenren Tiandu still asked curiously, “What kind of grand plans do you have?”. He wanted to know what were Su Mo’s plans!
Su Mo immediately took out his Holy Son token from Firmament Palace.
That elderly Fire God had returned his Holy Son token to him before he left.
“This is…?” Wenren Tiandu looked doubtfully at the token in Su Mo’s hand.
He knew that this token was special for it was the very thing that had disabled the defensive formation of the mansion.
However, he did not know what it signified.
As he looked at the symbols denoting gold, wood, water, fire, earth, wind, thunder, light and darkness on the token, he started to have a vague idea of what it could be.
“This is the Firmament Palace’s Holy Son token!” Su Mo said solemnly.
“Firmament Palace’s Holy Son token!” Wenren Tiandu was not too surprised for this was the very thing he had guessed it could be.
He then carefully examined the token in Su Mo’s hand.
Su Mo sat quietly, his eyes tracking Wenren Tiandu’s every move.
A contemplative look crossed Wenren Tiandu’s face as he said, “Brother Su, I see you have already been affirmed by Firmament Palace to be their Holy Son!”

Wenren Tiandu was astonished. He had once gone to Firmament Palace, but had only been accepted as a disciple. Yet, Su Mo was able to achieve the recognition of Holy Son.
Su Mo nodded. He noticed that Wenren Tiandu seemed to be familiar with the workings of Firmament Palace, so there was no need to explain.
Wenren Tiandu fell silent, still looking contemplative. Su Mo was the Holy Son and he, a disciple of Firmament Palace; therefore, it was time to declare his loyalty!
Su Mo did not interrupt Wenren Tiandu’s thought process, but waited patiently for his answer.
After ten breaths, Wenru Tiandu looked straight at Su Mo and declared solemnly, “I am a disciple of Firmament Palace, that was true in the past, and will remain so in the future!”
Wenren Tiandu’s answer was simple and straight to the point, but Su Mo smiled upon hearing it.
By declaring that he was a disciple of Firmament Palace, Wenren Tiandu had shown that he would take up the mantle and bear responsibility for Firmament Palace’s resurgence in the future!
He had not pledged allegiance to Firmament Palace, nor did he agree to work together with Su Mo, but these words were enough!
“Brother Wenren, you shall be the descendant of Illuminious Palace in the future. I will bring you along with me to Firmament Palace to receive your true Legacy!” Su Mo said with a smile.
Wenren Tiandu nodded. He was not doing this for a Legacy, but rather, he was acknowledging that he was a part of Firmament Palace and his status as their disciple.
It was the Legacy he had received at Firmament Palace that had made him who he was today.
Therefore, Wenren Tiandu would not deny that he was a disciple of Firmament Palace and was also willing to lend his abilities toward the resurgence of Firmament Palace.

After a while, Wenren Tiandu took out a medium-sized tortoise shell from his storage ring and handed it to Su Mo. “Take this! It might be of help to you!” he said.
Su Mo accepted the tortoise shell and started to look through its contents curiously.
This tortoise shell was very antique and simple, as if it was millions of years old.
It resembled the tortoise shell containing the Nine Spirals Mystique he had obtained in shape but was much larger.
Tiny words were carved all over this tortoise shell and it contained a secret method known as the ‘Magic Spirals Mystique’.
Su Mo was suddenly filled with excitement as he looked through its contents. This Magic Spirals Mystique was similar to his Nine Spirals Mystique; they both contained details on how to cultivate multiple Spiritual Spirals.
However, this was many times more powerful than his Nine Spirals Mystique because according to its technique, theoretically, one could cultivate an infinite number of Spiritual Spirals.
This was only in theory. In practice, there was a limiting factor, which was that one could only cultivate as many Spiritual Spirals as his physical strength could withstand.
Not only that, but it also recorded the two ways for its cultivator to attain Martial King Realm, which was a great help to Su Mo.
After he looked through its contents, Su Mo started to contemplate whether he should cultivate more Spiritual Spirals in addition to the eight he already had.
While it was true that his strength would increase significantly with each additional Spiritual Spiral, his break through to Martial King Realm would only become more difficult.
“Brother Su, based on what I’ve seen of your talent and strength, you won’t have a problem cultivating three to five more Spiritual Spirals!” Wenren Tiandu said in a deep voice.
“However, each additional Spiritual Spiral would make your path in the future more difficult. You should make this choice wisely!” he added.
Wenren Tiandu had given the Magic Spirals Mystique to Su Mo hoping that Su Mo would cultivate a few more Spiritual Spirals.
He thought that Su Mo’s strength was still too low to live up to his title as Holy Son of Firmament Palace.
Wenren Tiandu was still not aware that Su Mo could merge his property Dark Force within him. He assumed that Su Mo would not be his match if not for his secret skills.
Naturally, despite how one could theoretically cultivate an infinite number of Spiritual Spirals according to this technique, one should not cultivate too many. The reason being that even if one’s physical strength could withstand it, it would affect one’s chances of attaining the Martial King Realm.
Wenren Tiandu could technically still continue to cultivate more Spiritual Spirals, but he did not dare to do so. He was wary of breaking through to Martial King Realm in this state, let alone cultivating even more of them.
If he cultivated more Spiritual Spirals, it might be impossible for him to ever attain the Martial King Realm for his Martial King Ordeal would surely smash him to bits.
It is said that in the ancient times, there was once an extraordinary talent that had crazily cultivated a hundred Spiritual Spirals, which made him incredibly strong.
However, his Martial King Ordeal could instakill a Martial Emperor expert, and so his life was abruptly cut short.
Therefore, it was not practical to cultivate too many Spiritual Spirals. Wenren Tiandu thought that it would be ideal for Su Mo to cultivate another three to five Spiritual Spirals.
“Another three to five?” Su Mo thought quickly. If he chose to cultivate, he would definitely go way above that. If not, he would not even consider cultivating this!

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel)
John was an average man. At least that's what he tells himself at night. He lived in a rented apartment in the decent district, a well-paying job, and more student debt than he cared to think about being steadily paid off. Yet he was absolutely miserable. He spent his days living like a zombie, a slave in all but name to corporate. His only joy these days it seems was reading comics and writing fanfics. SI ones. Choke full of power fantasies and large harems. Yeah, even he had to admit he was a loser. His only redeeming feature seemed to be his photographic memory and the library's worth of comics and books he has read. Yet, when fate took pity on him and had John transported into the Marvel Universe, he was only all too happy to oblige. A second chance to make something of himself. Is he going to finally have the comfortable life he wanted? Will he laze away relying on his past life's knowledge or does he want more this time? Will his ambition and hard work lead to sweet fruits, or will it rot away in the darkness hiding beneath the colorful costumes of the hero's society? Now with crossovers! Be warned if you don't like to see OCs messing up the timeline or DC and other stuff showing up. I swear I'm not randomly adding stuff and there is a legitimate (as far as comic books and fanfics can be) plot reason why. (I'll be honest, I don't know "cannon" marvel really... I watched some movies and animated series as a kid, but I haven't picked up a comic in years. This is just some light-hearted and casual writing for fun. If there are any errors or something you think would be cool please let me know.) I'm also trying to have multiple main characters so that might be jarring for some people while I switch perspective. Sorry in advance, I'm new at this and idk what I'm doing, advice and feedback gladly welcomed!
