Chapter 789: Misunderstanding
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
After Su Mo and the those from Firmament Sect returned to the Great Hall, the crowd slowly started to disperse.
Calm returned to Skymoon Hall, but this news spread like wildfire across Qingyuan City.
Now that the patriarch of the Jiaos was dead along with dozens of elders from their clan, the Jiaos were dealt a critical blow.
Those who bore resentment toward the Jiaos, including those from the four major families, quickly rushed to the Jiaos mansion to exact revenge. The Jiaos became the victims of a bloody massacre.
The rules of this universe were simple. If you were strong and powerful, everyone would fear you and treat you with respect. Once you were knocked off your pedestal, everyone would trample on you and tear you down.
It did not take more than an hour for the Jiaos to be completely destroyed.
Everyone knew that the catalyst for this was a force known as Firmament Sect.
Many forces were secretly trying to find out more about this Firmament Sect that appeared from seemingly nowhere.
Firmament Sect was a picture of calm in contrast to the outside turmoil.
In the Great Hall, Su Mo took the master’s seat and looked down at the crowd.
“Everyone, we have cemented our fame through the earlier battle. No one would dare offend us here in future!” Su Mo said loudly.
“Sect Leader, we have not just cemented our fame, we have displayed our dominance over the entire Qingyuan City!” an elder from Gale Hall exclaimed excitedly.
“Ha ha!” Su Mo nodded. Indeed, he would have made quite an impact.
Anyone with a bit of sense from Qingyuan City would probably not dare to offend Firmament Sect in future.
Su Mo thought for a while, then told Qing Pingzi, “If anyone wishes to join Firmament Sect in the future, we will only take the best!”

Firmament Sect would need an injection of fresh blood in order to grow bigger. Therefore, from this day on, they could start their expansion.
“Yes!” the three hall chiefs nodded their heads.
“However, we will need to raise our standards as well!” Su Mo gave them a list of criteria that future disciples must meet. He also gave them a set of criteria for rogue cultivators who wished to join them.
He did not wish to accept rogue cultivators who were too strong. He was worried that there would be no one else to rein them in if he was not around.
After further discussions, he dismissed the rest. Su Mo then left the mansion and headed toward the Sky-sea Pavilion branch of Qingyuan City.
The master of the Craftsmanship Hall of Sky-sea Pavilion, Zhou Tai, greeted Su Mo.
After Su Mo revealed his identity as the supervisor of the Craftsmanship Hall at headquarters, the Pavilion Leader of Sky-sea Pavilion came out to greet him personally.
Su Mo requested them to look after Firmament Sect in future and the branch leader immediately acceded to his request, not daring to reject the request.
After he detailed out his request, Su Mo returned to the Su mansion.
He planned to leave Qingyuan City tomorrow, so his request for Sky-sea Pavilion to look after Firmament Sect was also to give his sect an additional layer of protection.
Su Mo and Hong Qingxuan sat in a pavilion at the backyard.
“Qingxuan, we will set off tomorrow for Ancient City, then for Firmament Palace!” Su Mo told Hong Qingxuan.
Su Mo had released her from the Divine Map after he returned to his mansion and they were now chatting idly.
“Brother Su Mo, would you still be able to find the entrance to Firmament Palace if the Ancient Arena no longer exists at the Ancient City?” Hong Qingxuan asked. She already knew that Su Mo could unlock the entrance to Firmament Sect.

Su Mo sighed and replied, “I don’t think it will be much of a problem! As long as the Ancient Arena was once at the Archean City, even if it has been demolished, I should still be able to roughly discern its approximate location!”
Su Mo was not too worried. The entrance to Firmament Palace was located deep in Space, so as long as he could point out its approximate location, he would be able to open the entrance with his Holy Son Token.
“Alright!” Hong Qingxuan nodded.
“Qingxuan, once we get to Firmament Palace, you would be able to receive the Legacy of Evergreen Palace!” Su Mo said with a laugh.
He guessed that Qingxuan’s cultivation and strength would sharply increase once she obtained the Legacy of Evergreen Palace.
He looked intently at her and as he remembered her body constitution, he could not help sinking deep in thought.
Qingxuan had a Pure Yin Body, so he wondered in what other ways was her body so unique!
Su Mo was not after the effects of cultivating-through-sex with Hong Qingxuan. He was just curious to know if there were other unique characteristics to her body composition other than cultivating-through-sex.
Hong Qingxuan blushed at Su Mo’s intent gaze and then looked down shyly.
“Brother Su Mo, why do you stare at me so?” Hong Qingxuan asked meekly.
Uh…
Su Mo was surprised, then laughed awkwardly as he replied, “It was nothing. I was just contemplating!”
“Oh!” Hong Qingxuan hid her disappointment.
Things were getting a little awkward between them when footsteps rang out.
Su Mo turned and saw that it was his father, Su Hong.
“Mo’er, the four major clans..!” Su Hong stopped mid-way in surprise when he caught sight of Hong Qingxuan.
“Mo’er, this is?” Su Hong asked doubtfully as he looked appraisingly at Hong Qingxuan.
“Father, this is Hong Qingxuan, my Junior Sister!” Su Mo introduced her with a smile. He was struggling to define their relationship when he recalled that they were both from Celestialspirit Sect, so they could be known as a Senior Brother- Junior Sister relationship.
“Oh? Junior Sister?” Su Hong’s eyes gleamed meaningfully as he gave Hong Qingxuan the once-over again. “Nice!” he nodded.
“Qingxuan, this is my father!” Su Mo made the appropriate introductions.
“Nice to meet you!” Hong Qingxuan said docilely as she greeted him with a bow.
“There’s no need for formalities around here!” Su Hong waved it off.
He looked at Su Mo, then at Hong Qingxuan and beamed. He nodded approvingly to himself. They were a match made in heaven!
Su Mo noticed the smile on his father’s face and immediately knew what he was thinking. He hastened to change the topic, “Father, were you looking for me?”
Su Hong smacked his head as he said, “Look at me, I almost forgot why I was here!”
“The heads of the four major families of Qingyuan City have arrived. They are asking for you!” Su Hong said.
Su Mo paused for a moment, then shook his head. “Father, please let them know that I am in seclusion! Please handle this amongst yourselves!”
Su Mo did not wish to meet those people. He had created enough of a stir today, so there would be no difference whether or not he met them!
“Alright!” Su Hong nodded. He looked once more at Hong Qingxuan then walked away, laughing.
Su Mo was left speechless as he watched his father leave. He knew his father had misunderstood their relationship. There was definitely nothing between him and Hong Qingxuan!

The Girl Named Rino
Oh. Hello. I didn't see you come in. No, don't worry. I don't need to hear your name. I already know what it is. I also knew that you'd come up at around this time. But, at the same time, I also didn't know. It's very hard to put into words - but that's what happens when you become the Chaos God. Your psyche gets messed up, big time. That's even more so for me, who was already warped enough to confuse reality with imagination - and, even make the rest of the universe believe that it was so. But, enough about me. Let's talk about you. You seem to come from a very far away land. It's faint, but your presence is there - in a relatively primitive planet. No wonder, no one wanted to stay in, or conquer your region of the universe - there's nothing worth controlling there. Your existence, much like your entire solar system, also seems to be pretty insignificant. Tell me, is your race capable of destroying your own world? Oh, you're already well along the way? Global Warming? Pollution? Overpopulation? Nuclear weapons? Wow... it's been many millenia since I'd last heard of such ancient concepts from someone who is actually living through it. Still, good job getting that far. That means that your world is now, at least, worth considering as a possible place to install a World System. If I find the time, I'll try surveying it. You can just thank me, later. Oh wait! What kind of person am I, not even offering my guest any hospitality. I'm ashamed. Please, take a seat. What would you like? I have everything the multiverse has to offer, whatever it is you want - I can get. Ah! After we talk, would you mind, if I asked you to do me a tiny favor? There's this girl, I want to keep tabs on. She's in one of the Worlds that I preside over, it's called Aiarthe. But, for some reason, I can't see her - not directly, at least. All I need you to do, is check up on her from time to time. Whether you do it as a pure spectator or through someone else's eyes, is entirely up to you. Really!? You would!? Wow! Thanks! You really did me, a huge solid there! For agreeing so quickly, how about I get started on surveying that planet of yours, right now!? You can help yourself, to anything in the fridge! Well, see ya!

Berries, Boars, and a Boy (A How to Train Your Dragon Fanfiction) (Snotlout/OC)
"In a lot of ways, Snotlout is very much Spitelout's son," said Freda. Torben did not need to see her face to hear in her voice that she wanted to say more. "One can hardly help but notice," he said when she didn't immediately continue. "But," she added hesitantly. "In more subtle and quiet ways he is much more my son." Torben turned his face toward the sun, the heat of it warming his skin though his world remained dark. "Even without my sight I could see that. Why else do you think I would encourage and allow his frequent visits here." --- He was brash, cocky, and way too self-confident for it to be real but he had gotten her out of the tree. She was older than him, taller than him, and had an annoying habit of seeing through his bluffs but she had stitched him up. What happens when Sigyn and Snotlout strike up an unusual friendship? And what happens when Snotlout goes away to The Edge with the other Dragon Riders and she stays behind? Will their friendship remain intact, fade away, or possibly change into something neither was expecting? Just see if I don't make a Snotlout fan of you by the end. Story told from both Sigyn and Snotlout's POV.
