Chapter 760: Gift
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
In the side hall, Master Cui sat in the main seat, while Su Mo sat in the guest seat.
Master Cui stared at Su Mo and asked, “What’s your name?”
“Su Mo!”
“What level are you at?” Master Cui asked.
“Upper Lv 5!”
“Please give me your honorary craftsman badge.”
Su Mo nodded and handed the badge to Master Cui.
He could understand why the master wanted to check his badge.
After all, anybody could just walk into the Sky-sea Pavilion and claim that he was an honorary craftsman.
Master Cui carefully examined the badge, nodded slightly, and handed it back to Su Mo.
Once the headquarters of the East Continent, South Continent, West Continent, and North Continent recruited an honorary craftsman, they would send the message to the Central Continent headquarters.
Master Cui’s job was to record messages like this, hence he knew about all the honorary craftsmen.
He asked, “You came from the East Continent. Are you staying here, or…?”
“Master, I’ve got something else to deal with. I’m afraid that I can’t stay here!”
“Well, that’s up to you,” Master Cui said casually.
Honorary craftsman were not part of the Sky-sea Pavilion, so he would not force Su Mo to stay.
He then stood up slowly, ready to leave.
“Master Cui, please wait!” Su Mo said hurriedly.
“What else can I do for you?” Master Cui frowned. As an Upper King craftsman, he did not have time to chat with Su Mo.
“Master Cui, I want to buy four materials. I’m wondering if you have them.”
“You can go to the south side of the city. There’s a shop of ours there,” Master Cui replied patiently.
“Is that so?!”

Su Mo’s brows furrowed slightly. He thought that a normal shop would not have these rare items.
“Yep. You can go now.” Master Cui waved his hand and then walked out.
Su Mo was not happy about this. This guy could not even spare a few words with him! He was really putting on airs!
Master Cui was about to walk out of the side hall when Su Mo said, “Have you heard of Fantasy Stone, Blood-striped seed, Empty-will Wood, or Divine Jade?”
Master Cui paused and immediately turned around, looking at Su Mo in surprise.
“How do you know about Fantasy Stone and Empty-will Wood?”
“A senior asked me to buy them. Do you have them?”
Su Mo could tell that Mater Cui knew about those two materials.
As for the other two, this guy might not have heard of them either.
“No, we don’t have them!” Master Cui shook his head.
Su Mo’s heart fell to his feet. He asked unwillingly, “Do you know where I can find them? I’ll pay double, even triple the price!”
“Triple the price?” Master Cui was surprised.
“Yep, even four times the price!” Su Mo added fuel to the fire.
“Four times?!”
Master Cui was surprised when he heard that. He then shook his head and said, “I do know where they are, but I can’t tell you.”
Su Mo asked curiously, “And why is that?”
“Because the one who has them is in a high position. There will be some trouble if I tell you.” Master Cui shook his head, turned around, and left.
“Uh…!”
Su Mo looked terrible now.
After so many days, he had finally gotten a good lead for the materials. How could he just give up now?!

His eyes glistened just as Master Cui was about to leave the side hall.
Master Cui would tell him if he offered him a decent benefit.
“Wait!” Su Mo rushed toward Master Cui.
“I have business to attend to. What’s wrong with you, kid?”
Master Cui’s complexion did not look so good.
Su Mo smiled and said, “Master, I’ve got a gift for you.”
“What gift can you have?” Master Cui snorted. He did not believe that a Lv 5 craftsman could have some precious gift.
As an Upper King craftsman, there were many people that sent gifts to him. Some precious gifts were even not worth mentioning in his eyes.
With a flip of the hand, Su Mo took out a blank bundle of jade slips and stuck them to his forehead.
After a short while, he finished printing and handed one over to Master Cui.
Su Mo smiled while saying, “Master, please take a look. I hope you like it!”
Master Cui shook his head in disdain as he took it and started to check it out.
Since it was a gift, he would not refuse it.
However, when he saw the contents, his eyes opened widely.
“This is…!”
His body started to shake, while his face blushed.
“Master Cui, this is the crafting method for the Snowfrost Saber, which was a Lower Royal weapon in ancient times. It’s much easier to craft compared to the other Lower Royal weapons, and it’s very powerful.”
Su Mo explained it with a confident smile.
Master Cui looked at the jade slip in his hand with keen eyes. “This… is this for me?”
Master Cui was tremendously shocked because this was extremely precious.
He had not expected that Su Mo could offer him such a precious gift.
He was now an Upper King craftsman, and this Snowfrost Saber was a Lower Royal weapon.
This craft method might help him become a Lower Royal craftsman!

I'm writing this story using the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons, the legendary tabletop roleplaying game. I first began posting this story on my personal Facebook page and on Tumblr under the username "valoroflight". I only put a few chapters in before moving to Wattpad to finish posting the full story. Unfortunately, my story has begun showing up on NovelHD without my permission, so I am moving to RoyalRoad in an attempt to get away from that.

Remorse
I have killed many people over my long life. Men, women, children. None have escaped the shadows that I control. It was only one tiny mistake that I made that changed my life forever. I underestimated her, and I would pay for my hubris. “For every death you have given, you will feel their pain.” What? “For every person you have killed, you will feel regret.” Wait, wait… “For every murder you have commited, you will know what you have done.” I don’t think this is going to be pretty. The power leaves her voice as she continues in a softer tone. “I will give you back what you have lost, you will feel empathy again.” Her power releases me and I fall to the ground. Diana. That was her name. I will remember it. ******** This story starts out somewhat dark, but it will lighten up after the first chapter. I tend to not enjoy the psychological tag too much since stories with the tag tend to be a little insane for my liking, but I feel that I would be remiss not putting it on this story, since a lot of it is about the psychology of the main character. All the content warnings are checked since I want to leave my options open to me for the future. I hope you enjoy.
