Chapter 756: Eighth of October
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Shangguan Hao was full of derision at Xi’er’s words. How could a backward aborigine travel to Central Continent from East Continent?
Shangguan Hao secretly shook his head. His Junior Sister was really naive!
“Geniuses?” Xi’er gave a small shake of her head. Since Shangguan hao did not understand, she was not going to say more.
Xi’er stood quietly on the edge of the cliff and stared at the clouds drifting by.
Out in the square, Su Mo clenched his fists angrily at what he had just heard.
He had heard every single word of their conversation.
He was touched at the fact that Xi’er had been waiting for him all this while, but she was going to get married in eight months!
Su Mo’s heart sank. He had thought he still had ten more months, only to find that he only had eight months left!
He would definitely find a way to stop this wedding from happening!
He clenched his jaw and strode out of the square after glancing at the figures of XI’er and Shangguan Hao once more.
Xi’er and Shangguan Hao did not notice Su Mo for hundreds of disciples were staring at them from the square. Su Mo was just a dime a dozen.
After he left Emperor Peak, Su Mo returned to his palace and started to formulate his plan.
He would have to use the coming eight months to craft a Natal Spiritual Sword of his own and increase his cultivation to Martial King Realm.
Furthermore, Lv 1 Martial King Realm would still not be sufficient. He had to be at least of Lv 3 Martial King Realm cultivation.
Most people would think this was absolutely impossible and it would be extremely difficult for Su Mo to accomplish as well, but he had to do it.
If not, all of XI’er waiting would be in vain.
Xi’er would become Shangguan Hao’s wife!
Therefore, even if it meant devouring endless lifeforms, he would have to become stronger as soon as possible.

Su Mo left his palace after two hours and headed for 13th Elder’s temporary dwelling palace.
He planned to leave Emperor Xuan Palace and increase his cultivation while collecting the materials he lacked to craft his Natal Spiritual Sword.
13th Elder had been kind to him, so he would need to bid him farewell out of courtesy for once he left, he would not be back.
When he comes back, it would be the day of the ultimate showdown between him and Shangguan Hao.
“Come in!” 13th Elder’s voice rang out even before Su Mo could knock on the door.
Su Mo nodded, then pushed open the door to enter the palace.
13th Elder sat cross-legged on the futon, his eyes closed as he cultivated. He only slowly opened his eyes when Su Mo entered his palace.
“Mo Su, why have you come today?” 13th Elder asked in confusion.
13th Elder was aware of Su Mo’s true identity so he assumed that Su Mo would now be thinking up ways to meet her. In that case, why would he be here?
“Master, I will be leaving the Sect for a while to train outside!” Su Mo bowed to 13th Elder.
“Train?” 13th Elder was first stunned, then immediately understood why when he gave Su Mo a closer look.
He guessed that Su Mo had either already met the Holy Maiden or managed to glean some sort of information about her. Now, he was about to leave!
“Very well, off you go!” 13th Elder gave a slight nod of his head.
“Many thanks, Master. Please take care!” Su Mo said softly as he saluted him.
The hostility he had felt toward 13th Elder was now replaced by respect.
It was a pity that their master-disciple relationship had only lasted for a day.
After today, not only did their relationship no longer exist, they may even end up on opposing ends in future!
Su Mo turned and was about to leave Emperor Xuan Palace when 13th Elder suddenly said, “Please wait a second!”

Su Mo looked at 13th Elder in confusion, not understanding what else did he have to say.
13th Elder looked at Su Mo intently and said earnestly, ” Mo Su, you are a talent of the likes rarely seen in this world. You must remember that the Way of the martial arts is your true goal!”
Su Mo looked even more bewildered, unable to comprehend what 13th Elder was trying to say.
13th Elder sighed and continued, “There are many things in the world that cannot be overcome. You would have to know when to charge forward and when to take a step back. If not, it would be too late once disaster strikes!”
Su Mo’s brows rose as he understood that 13th Elder had already figured out his true identity. If not, there would be no reason for him to give such a speech.
He was surprised that 13th Elder still remained so pleasant despite figuring out his identity.
It seemed like 13th Elder did not bear any ill will toward him, or he would not be saying such things.
The underlying meaning behind his words was to convince Su Mo to forget about Xi’er and forget about his battle with Shangguan Hao.
His words could be read as a well-intentioned warning.
Su Mo took a deep breath, and said after a moment of contemplation, “Master, everyone has someone they’d like to protect. We all have our own dignity and determination to pursue what we want, and so do I!”
“I would have no regrets dying if I remain true to my determination, dignity and those I want to protect!”
“If I give this all up, what would be the difference between humans and the grass in the field?”
Determination was written all over Su Mo’s face. After his speech, he clasped his hands in a salute and gave 13th Elder a deep bow.
“You may have been my master for just one day, but I will treat you as my master for the rest of my life! Master, I will take my leave now!” Su Mo walked quickly out of the palace.
13th Elder heaved a long sigh as he looked at Su Mo’s departing figure.
“This is a man of great potential!” 13th Elder muttered to himself, then shook his head helplessly.
He was very satisfied with his disciple, it was just too bad that he would soon be destroyed by his own determination.
He could not afford to waste any more time!
As Su Mo walked along the mountain path on his way out of Inner Palace and Emperor Xuan Palace, he passed by many disciples chattering, their faces excited.
“The Palace Master has decreed that the Holy Son and Maiden will be wed eight months later on the 8th of October!”
“Oh yes! I’ve heard that the Palace Master has sent ten Elders to give out invitations all across Firmament and Continent!”
“I’m sure only powerful forces will receive invites!”
“Of course, why would this honor be bestowed upon an average force?”
“This will be a grand event! The entire Firmament and Continent will be watching!”
Su Mo’s face turned scarily dark as he continued to listen to the other disciples chattering.
“8th of October?” Su Mo muttered and his eyes turned steely.
Shangguan Hao, we shall meet again on the 8th of October!
He took a deep breath and soon flew out of the mountain range.
He then stood in the void and used the seal 13th Elder had imparted to him.
His hands flashed as he displayed a complicated seal technique, then he pushed toward the void.
The void buzzed and a portal slowly opened.
Swoosh!
Su Mo charged straight into the portal and left the Inner Palace.
